Thank you Serenata !!! Yes there's been so much activity between the dress shop and the rooming house! The ladies have been sewing at the dress shop making sure everyone is well dressed!! The ladies at the Rooming house are prepping food and planning for the wedding and the reception! It is truly a delight to watch all the activity!🤭☺️😉💖

Beautiful my friend!! Just beautiful 🥲🥰!! I've watched the videos you posted last week, and I feel like I've been neglectful in my posting and support. The beds, the blankets, the bookcase, the office and all the little items reminiscing on the ladies' childhood, EVERYTHING is just so sweet and adds so much personality to the room and especially to the entire feeling of the house. So many of us are emotionally vested in the lives and happenings of all the people in the rooming house and the dress shop. You're an amazing story teller! I believe you should write down the stories you share with us and have a series, "The Rooming House" and each little skit with the title you use on your channel. Something like, "The Opening of The Dress Shop" , "Saudi's Proposal", "Christmas Time At The Rooming House". They're just so many little books and stories to be told and shared! Do you remember the book Ara put together for the cardboard house? If you haven't seen the videos of it, you should totally check it out. She has the information of the illustrator that helped her, and I'm sure if you had any questions Ara would be overjoyed to share her experiences concerning the book publication. Everything is gorgeous!! If I could make just one suggestion for the bookcase and help with the "busy" look and feel you're going for: lay the clipboard on the top shelf along with a pair of reading glasses resting on it. If that doesn't say "super busy" I don't know what does!? LOL 😂😍

Yes sometime I get tickled with myself how many things from my childhood I still have. I guess it's. Because a little Gretchen is still in charge🤭😉! Yes things are really coming together between the dress shop business is doing well!

I know Right?! The dolls of the community are truly glad to have a dress shop, within walking distance of the rooming house. WITH all the visitors and people who come through to visit and eat and stay it's very convenient and great for business! ☺️💖🤭😅

I love the whole project! My bookshelf, unlike my crafting table, is always neat and organized, lol. ADHD is a weird thing, some things hyper organized, some things totally chaotic. Boy all those new clothes, so great looking! A fresh look for special times.

Aunt Charlotte’s ensemble is stunning! ! The dressy striped fabric coat and skirt is just fabulous! The addition of the lovely lace and that tiny little rose on the bodice couldn’t be more perfect!! I’m jealous! Do you think the ladies at the dress shop could make one in my size? 💝

I absolutely love the variety of books on this shelf!!! The Amazing Grace book you made as a girl is my absolute favorite ❤️ It's so beautiful! My son is a true bookworm and his bookshelf always looks like that. Plus the books on the other furniture in his room. 😂 Tracy! Aw you know she's my favorite. She looks great. Look how happy she is. Thank you! 😊 I was really tickled about getting them redressed I dressed them a few years back and that's when I was using liquid stitch but over time it turns yellow and makes their clothes look dirty I'm going to just stick to tacky glue when dressing my dolls! I'm quite a bookworm myself so I understand! I have quite a few more things I want to add to that bookshelf but I've got to get these wedding creations in gear!!! 🤭💖💖💖 Thank you for being here to see this!!

You have the urge to straighten the books?! Girl! As a retired children’s librarian I have to restrain myself from doing that OFTEN! When my sweet husband and I go to a bookstore, I typically start straightening books. He always says, “no one will ever question what your career was!” Haha!
ALL of the clothes are gorgeous - I especially love Aunt Charlotte’s - it fits her perfectly and is so pretty! Alvarez looks mighty dapper! New hats are required for all occasions - right?! I’m such a hat girl myself! The ladies’ hats turned out so lovely!

I can only imagine what that's like to go into a bookstore and see things out of place the urge would be incredible! I got tickled with myself so many times doing the project telling myself "leave it alone", It's intentional, you want it like that! 🤭😅. Yes Wendy in real life I like my bookshelves really neat and everything really organized but in the DOLLHOUSE that just look too boring 🤭☺️! When I was younger, raising my children l liked a neat DOLLHOUSE! The longer they have been gone and on their own the more I see the beauty in the memories of their chaos!💖🤭🥹☺️

You are 100% right about making more books than you think you need, they really add up fast! I have a library planned in my house....I made HUNDREDS of books ready for it, and I still may need more. Another one of those "Why did I ever think this was a good idea?" kinda ideas lol...there's been a few of those lately hahahaha
I USED to make just enough, then realize I need to do MORE! It was very frustrating 😕. So now if I'm on a ROLL, I GO FOR IT, AND PRODUCE UNTIL I RUN OUT OF STEAM!😀☺️☺️💖🤣😅🤭

I love all the different facial personalities . You inspired me to make the Addams family dolls. Mine are from the Animated because I couldn’t decide what actors to do so since it started as a cartoon I decided to do my doll that way. And I used polymer clay which I was nervous to use. I love that book from your childhood 😊

@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 it’s a lot of fun sculpting the features especially since I’m doing the portrait faces so ya Addams Family is pretty straight forward. I have to remake a few pieces and morticia chair . But I’m glad I picked the animated the faces are easy and fun to do. I’d love to show you when I get going again, hopefully before the weather gets warm lol!

YES Teresa! I used to make just enough and then I would end up needing more and kept needing to make oneies, twoies!(Not sure I spelled that right)☺️. But it was annoying. So for tiny project items I always make extras because you will always need more than you make. Books, buttons, food items, toilet paper, perfume bottles, pillows etc.

I am working on an idea, so you take a small block,square pack of quick paper , notes. I have one, you can write a note, on this block, single,then remove it.
This square is glued only on one side, I glued the other side, then I am so lucky I have an old paper guillotine, and after only removing a thinner section piece of this white block paper, I can cut a " book" size piece..of paper all stuck together, then add a cover.
This is still blank white pages, but I am working on
" a written pad" so I can guillotine a small pad of my book base
I can use.
That truly sounds like a great hack to get them done faster!😀

Thank you so much! ☺️ I'm really glad you noticed! I tried make their hats different from hats they sell in the showroom. BECAUSE, they are a little older and their s sense of style is more like the time they came from rather than what's popular in "their present time."

I'm ma!ing miniature books at the moment, and it is taking a loonnngg time.
I'm making them with lots of folded paper, and printed book covers, it takes ages, then I found I have only made enough to cover a tiny bit of book case, but I'm going to try the scramble tile method it should save a lot of time.

I love those books, yet more great applications for nail art! The one that you made as a little girl should be front and center, not hidden away in a corner, maybe you could put it in the little girls' room in the rooming house. Just a thought. The new outfits all look grand as well!
Thank you Peggy! I Love that and that's a great suggestion! The only reason I kind of hid it because it's super large it would be way too large for a child it's more Barbie scale than 12 th scale. So I felt like by tucking it on that shelf it would be present but not a blaring reminder that it's too big! To me in the office of the dress shop it looks like it could be like a special order catalog or something! 🤭☺️💖
Totally get that. I love Calico Critters. I've made more than one house for them and have given houses away. But I did keep one for myself, I call it Kangaroo Cottage. The little girl has her own room with a bed, dresser, doll crib and even a table and chairs that are half scale for her teddy bears. My daughter gave me the Persian cat family for Christmas that comes with a little story book, more a magazine. It was too big, so I just took my Swann-Morton and cut it down, cropping the picture of two kitties on the front. That messed up the story a bit, but I suspect they'll never know! It's on the dresser.😸
