Im very glad Samsung made a brave first step among tech giants to finally step out of minimalism. New icons are bringing hope that we will soon get interesting and vibrant icons like in good old frutiger era. No one liked minimalism when it came, people just got used to it, and im glad that NPC design era is finally coming to its end.
Personally, I use custom icons, so the icon change doesn't really worry me too much. But I honestly would prefer the flat and simple look of the old one ui.
I love both equally. I don't get the hate for the new ones, but the old ones are awesome too. I remember that you can change the icon pack on Samsung phones, so it's not an issue if you don't like the new ones.
Some of the icons look like it came from those fake "S24 Launcher , BeSt LaUnChEr Of 2024" ahh icon packs. But still, more detail and some of them look cool.

I absolutely hate the new icons. Sure, not all of them, like the Messages icon is better than the old one. But the Settings icon? That shit screams Apple. If they didn't change the icons OneUI could've been the best Android skin so far. Looks like every company wants to copy Apple for some reason.
