After Android 8, there's no major update. Then there's iteratibe updates like gesture nav on 9, Elimination of back button on 10 and then Android 12 just brought Material You design which isn’t adopted by other OEMs. Android 12-15 looks like reskinned Android 8-11 with some minor improvements
I am using since Froyo. I am very happy aftet they improved the hardware and the world connection and satelites and 5G they started improving the ugly mediocre visuals. I also always prefer the Samsung version of Android. Sadly I think they are using the Iphone as the "father" figure. Anyway, I enjoy how easy it is to use. How beautiful it looks. The functionality. The reliability. I no longer use Canon EOS mirror reflex big camera after I got Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The camera is amasing.

My current main tablet Lanovo Tab P11 Plus has an Operating System Andriod 12 (originally Android 11). My current side tablet Vankyo S8_EEA has an Operating System Android 9.0 pie.
