IK make good stuff, love their Fame studio reverb
Still on my list of ones to try!!
@@CantAffordToRecord very good if you’ve only got close mics and you want a roomier sound
Fame is so great. Hoping they come out with more studio verbs like it with similar features
This comp is excellent! That grit button sounds great
I'm a fan!
I don't use that comp from them but I do use their Black 1176 comp all the time on every single mix and on many sources. Thanks for showing this one.
I use the Black 76 all the time too, such a great plugin!
That's one killer 1176! 👍🏼
This is a hidden secret. Its very good
Hopefully we can keep it that way, ha! 🤫
Hey Robby, really interesting in light of our conversation the other day. In that situation l found the Townsend got me where I wanted to go faster. But with the material you have here, I think the iK is performing quite well. And it doesn't have the crush sound of the Pulsar (isn't that effectively 20:1 or more?) but I thought it opened up your drums very nicely in a less dramatic way. Ultimately, its less about picking "the best" plugin and more about finding what works best for the recipe you are working on right now.
Oh, we use what we prefer. Yes.
To my ears, none of the IK Multimedia emulation compressors actually sound or behave like they should compared to the originals (and I have quite a few, for example their Black76 behaves and colours things more like an LA3A, and the tape echo is unlike any vintage tape echo machine I've ever owned through the decades), and their ecosystem/download & update system is a real PITA.
That said, many of these pluhins are very flexible, with M/S processing and extra features etc, and some of the ones not emulating anything but just being their own thing are really good.
Horses for courses.
🤷🏼♂️
Oh, and their Sunset Sound Studio rooms, chambers, plates and spring is IMHO one of the absolute greatest ITB reverbs ever made.
(BTW, for 1176 and LA2A and SSL bus comp and analog tape machine emulations, the humble Hornet Plugins, also from Italy as IK is, does far better for far less money and with far less fuss, albeit with very graphically bare bones GUIs... try them, is my advice)
Thanks for taking the time to share your insight!! I'll be sure to look into Hornet Plugins!
Hear great things about the Sunset Sound Studio Reverb, I gotta get my hands on that soon!
I'll tell you why. Because T-Racks is a pain in the @ss to install lol.
I do not disagree, ha! 😅
@@CantAffordToRecord haha. Tbf it has gotten better, but you should be able to choose what plugins you install etc. haha. I'm glad we're on the same page though.
@@kidsonicofficial Very much on the same page! Thanks for stopping by :)
@@kidsonicofficialon T Racks 6 you can do that
the trick is to wait until everything they produce is on sale. that way when you're forced to install all the products, at least you own them all ;)
Are you saying that this bus is not too much to figure out.? To figure out.
Super easy to use!
Haha first in!
