    Way out here in Arizona, we love your videos, learned so many tricks and hints. Love the Kenwood too, but way over what we can pay for. Keep up what you are doing, making us much better HAMs. I'm using an MFJ-4602 to pass into our home. N7DKE and 73.

    Anything worth doing is worth doing in an organized manner. This has given me the motivation to clean up my coax, cables, and wires. Thanks for another high quality video.

    Been doing this for years Cal… As I only
    have 2-3 cables, I use a plastic drain pipe through the wall with a 45 degree elbow outside… then stuff it with fibreglass insulation to keep the “visitors” at bay.
    Great vid as usual!! Stay safe my friend.

    You certainly do it well, setting a GOOD example for the rest of us? You are gradually rebuilding your channel and maybe even better than ever. Have the 12 meter better kits become available yet?
    I have a full plate right now, looking at ""Open Heart" surgery to replace 2 defective valves, a hernia surgery, 2 eye surgeries to remove cataracts plus having to move out of my home so it can be torn down and a new one built. Very stressful time for this old man doing it alone, I mention this because you need to know, your shows help fill one's mind with something other than problems that one may be facing. Your humor, bits of knowledge, and just the distractions of the various tasks you overcome. Keep them coming, they matter!!
    Thank you !!!

    You could use a little silicone grease and a plastic faced mallet to gently tap those grommets into your box. For Coax you would have to use a split grommet around the cable after the connector instead of a solid one. I love the sped up action too.

    Always better when you tidy it up. What type of screw-on coax connectors are those ?

    • @DXCommanderHQ
      @DXCommanderHQ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the time SSB Electronics or Messi and Paoloni

      @DXCommanderHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look for EITHER Messi and Paoloni coax (and matching connectors) of SSB Eectronics (Aircell and Ecoflex 10 or 15 coax) - their connectors almost the same.

    • @DXCommanderHQ
      @DXCommanderHQ  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are two similar manufacturers.. Messi and Paoloni and SSB Electronics, both make a similar style.

    If you're going to remove/replace the connectors, why drill such a large hole, then add the grommets? Just drill the correct size, for the coax, and be done with it.

    • @DXCommanderHQ
      @DXCommanderHQ  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because over the years, I have noticed 1) I change cable diameters from time to time and 2) I don't want sharp edges

    Use the head of a taxidermized dog on the outside for your weather proofing. Make the neighbors know regret.
