- Brook and I went down to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and spent a week fishing with our friend Jamy from High Tides fishing. High tides offers an all inclusive fishing lodge, in addition to just fishing charters. When I was in my 20s, I lived in Acapulco for one year. It’s one of the best memories that I have. I scuba dived at least four days a week, and the food was out if this world. Night life was the disco club I know you are having the time of your life!
That’s awesome! I had a marine biologist teacher in high school who was a hardened biker and barely knew anything about the biology side of the course. But he was a veteran fisherman. Well he actually spent 5 years living in a shack on a Mexican beach that he wouldn’t dare tell a soul where it was. Good surf during the day, then would fish up dinner, any excess fish would be sold or traded for beer. He said it was the happiest he had been in life hands down. Appreciate you bringing back this memory for me. Cheers

I just got back from fishing with HighTides at the end of February, and I can confirm they work so hard at getting you on fish. Whether you are there for the week or for a day. I would love to go back and stay at their lodge.
That is one beautiful Mahi about 2/3's of the way through! If I had a boat, I'd be targeting Mahi almost everytime! They're such beautiful, tasty fish. I'm glad you had a productive trip, Vic.
when I was in Puerto Vallarta, I wanted to go fishing so badly but no one else did and I personally regret not doing it
I always have that problem too, its just too expensive to go solo on a charter. This boat is $400 for 4 hours. I think a typical panga is around $250 for 4 hours
So cool, Roosters are a real prize!

Great as usual!! I was suprised to hear you hadn't worked with beets!! Beets with Kalamata Olives, feta/goat cheese over field greens dressed with a very light vinaigrette is super refreshing summertime dish

Amazing trip! Beautiful rooster fish, that very nice bull mahi, the jack blowing up right at the boat, the spectacular lodge, and the ridiculou meal they prepared for you. Like a mitchelin chef preparing your catch! Freaking incredible! Loved this video. My wife and I are in serious conversation about going there.

Second, the food! I had just finished eating when I saw this and seeing that made me hungry all over!
And that mahi was so golden in the water! It's a shame they change colors afterwards. No wonder they're also called Dorados.

That were American crocodiles in the marina, the same ones you find in Florida. They can get up to a ton but luckily aren't as aggressive as other crocodiles, though still dangerous

In regards to your trolled stictched dead bait casted,its common in the uk for those that love a twitched bait like this on fresh water,there is much to learn from all types of fishing,atb to to you,and thank for all the work that goes into the back room that nobody has a clue about❤
Love beets , just remember it turns everything that comes out red lol …. Little olive oil ,salt pepper ,then wrap them aluminum foil put in oven 400 till soft …. And the skin comes right off … eat and yes goat cheese is awesome with it especially in a salad…

These are great fishing videos.I have noticed though if watching on a mobile devise that the audio will drop significantly in volume when you switch from portrait view to landscape. Strange only on certain segments.

Puerto Vallarta resident ! Avid fisherman, not the best but experienced, and I’ve never catch a rooster even close to that beauty ! Enjoy the city and welcome! I almost watched my house at one part , dude lovely video ! And there are still many secret spots to find ! Hope you keep coming in the future and maybe go out to show you my places , you speak so beautiful about my city , i felt proud !

Crocodiles have long pointed snouts. Alligators have blunt rounded snouts. Those were crocodiles. Bleed fish before cleaning. Less mess, better tasting.
