Sri Lanka is my #1 favorite paradise location. Primarily because of the beauty of Mirisa Beach, the best food in the world for me (tied with Trinidad), kindest people and the fact that there aren't too many tourists.

I love Sri Lanka. Was there five years ago, and was impressed as well. and yes I agree, it's more like SE Asia than India. Those big lizards actually are the same ones you see in Bangkok's Lumpini park. There are so many of them there and looks really creepy, but people say they are harmless.

Using Reggae music is totally fine. Sri Lankans love Reggae 🙌

  • @stevegram9000

I was there in 2020. Right at the beginning of the pandemic. Beautiful country, really epic surfing. I am headed back in March. Stoked for you you get to enjoy this special land!

How would you say Sri Lanka compares to Thailand, like scenery-wise, food-wise, friendliness, etc? I recently was on motorcycle trip around Thailand a couple months ago and I ran into a group of people who had just come from Sri Lanka and they were absolutely raving about it, saying it is one of their favorite countries. It really peaked my interest, and made me want to visit.

As a Sri Lankan, I personally have no problem at all with the use of reggae music in these Sri Lankan videos. Reggae is huge in the south of Sri Lanka (where you are currently) - you will hear reggae music in beach restaurants, etc along the southern coast of Sri Lanka, and you will see tuktuk drivers and beach boys in locs (the hairstyle), tuktuk drivers listening to reggae with their tuktuks decorated with Bob Marley pictures, etc. "One Love restaurant" that you saw proves that haha.

You’re the coolest traveler on TH-cam by far. Sri Lanka shall be my next holiday destination thanks to your diligent work. Much appreciated

"The music of Sri Lanka has its roots in five primary influences: ancient folk rituals, Hindu religious traditions, Buddhist religious traditions, the legacy of European colonisation, and the commercial and historical influence of nearby Indian culture-specifically, Kollywood cinema and Bollywood cinema" - from wikipedia

Love how you match the music to the country your filming, brings the vids to life, unlike the generic, middle of the road, easy listening stuff that most use, I'm sure the reggae will be fine

  • @ryanheathmusic

    Awesome stuff!

  • @sherryulaszonek550

  • @melanieknight2351

No need for music.....the beautiful noise of nature in Sri Lanka is all you need.😊

  • @robertkennedy9188

So many incredible places to visit in Sri Lanka, you could make a lot of videos there! My favorite memories are of Kandy and tea country. Drinking tea there is mind-blowing.

  • @nayanthidesilva8660

However, it can be said that Sri Lanka is a clean and incredibly beautiful country.

  • @M-gq1bq

Watching you drink your Passion fruit cocktail made me recall that I once had the glorious idea to order a Malaga ice cream milkshake in Malaga. The raisins clogged up the straw, rendering it an unsatisfactory drinking experience. The taste was heavenly, though.

  • @travelsnapshot

Hi, How is Sri Lanka? I hope you must be enjoying the beaches and road trips there. The beach on this video looks clean and great. I am still planning to make a trip there but I had to renew my passport before any travels now. Enjoy!
