re: the cure for failure video, I didn't watch it mostly because of personal reasons/what's going on in my life (it just felt like it'd hit too close to home lol) but the concept IS interesting, so I'd like to watch videos with that concept of the cure for blank 🤗
Thank you so much for the shout out! 😊 You’ve been one of my favorite booktubers for around a year now, and I love watching you grow and change. I really hope that you continue to enjoy yourself while you’re working toward your new goals-that’s one of the most important parts 💛
I’m really happy that ally mentioned you in her video, because now you are one of my favorites❤ I need to check out all of the creators you mentioned! I just stared editing my mid year book tag, and my best sequel is also Lightfall! I really enjoyed the video “the cure for failure”, and I don’t know why people weren’t interested in it 😩 I’m waiting for any video from you I watch them all!
Oh wow! Such a kind shoutout. And we really are just out here goofin and having a good time. 😅 Thanks for sending some love and sharing our channel!! You are also so delightful!! -Sierra
awww omg katie what the freaking heck!! thank you so much for the shout out ❤️ so so so happy ally shouted you out previously so i could come across your channel. so sweet hearing all the joyous things that happened for you this time last year & hope the same happens for you this year!! ❤️
OMG, this was an awesome surprise! Thank you so much! I am going to be smiling for the rest of the day now! ❤ Also, a great video! I am definitely checking Lightfall!
Lightfall sounds so charming, I'd love to read it with my niece (she is 4 though, so probably in a few years?). So happy you liked @andtheywerereaders, those two always cheer me up and I can't help smiling watching their vids.
Just found your channel. I love that you had such a lovely variety in your answers. I added a few books to my shopping cart. It might be dangerous to my wallet, but I subscribed and I'm off to check your older videos.
I had so many comments! I really want to read Deathless… every time you talk about it I’m like “I should just buy it right now”. And… I found your channel through Ally last year and I am with you sending so much love and positive vibes her way. I haven’t done my midyear freak out video yet, but I’m excited to do it after we move this weekend! ❤
Hi Katie! The cure for *blank* is a great video idea but the book that was recommended for it just sounded so boring 😂 Maybe they have more exciting recommendations for other cures?
I'm sure I've recommended this before but if you love fungal sci-fi/horror you should definitely read Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon!! I've read all of their books and Sorrowland is my absolute favorite of theirs so far, it's incredibly weird, emotional, creative, and well-written and I don't see people talk about it nearly enough!
Girl I love your videos so so much. Subscribing to your channel has brought me joy. I also have really enjoyed many books this year so far including Pure Colour and Death Valley. Highly recommend!
Loved the shoutouts! I'm always on the look-out for new people to watch and I put a bunch of their videos in my watch later playlist :D I make videos too, vlogs to be specific in which I include my reading as well :)
One of my favourite booktubers is @MaedBetweenthePages. Beside beeing a book collector and a wonderful human being with a vast vocabulary, Taylor is one of the SPFBO judges as part of the Before We Go Blog. On her channel you may find quite a few interviews with well known fantasy authors,
I’m no allisonpaiges but hopefully a few new subscribers find you from my mid-year freak out tag! Wishing you all the growth over the last half of 2024 because you deserve it!
Thanks for the video. I'm hoping to do this tag over on my channel fictional crafts soon. But in the meantime, some of my favourite booktubers are bookswithemilyfox, Ana Mo Shoshin, Noteworthy Fiction (Nicole) and *aisling*.
I feel silly but I commented on your video and it went away so I'm trying this again. Katie!!! I am giddy and honored that you watch my videos. This is so, so kind! I love your videos and the my feelings are so mutual! 🥰 I uploaded my mid-year book tag last Friday so it's on my channel page if you or anyone wants to watch! 😀 * shameless plug *
it's not just storygraph, goodreads, libby, etc. all classify books with lgbtqia+ content as a genre with additional tags for other genres as well ex. lgbtqia+, romance, fantasy, etc. I do agree that it's kind of weird but I can't think of other alternatives that would make it easy to find lgbtqia+ books specifically
Highly recommend Radiance for your next Valente pick!!
Ooo that looks amazing

Hi Katie! "What my Bones Know" is a great memoir if you're looking for something emotional! It's a heavy read but with a hopeful ending!
Amazing thank you!
Hi Katie! The cure for *blank* is a great video idea but the book that was recommended for it just sounded so boring 😂 Maybe they have more exciting recommendations for other cures?
This is such a good point 😅
I'm sure I've recommended this before but if you love fungal sci-fi/horror you should definitely read Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon!! Ahh I really need to get to this!
Girl I love your videos so so much. Subscribing to your channel has brought me joy. I also have really enjoyed many books this year so far including Pure Colour and Death Valley. Highly recommend!

Hi Katie!! Your rec of Lightfall a couple of months ago made me pick it up and I LOVE it! ❤️ love your vids so much !
I'm so happy to hear that you loved it!!!
This is my 2nd year doing this tag for my channel such fun. 🥤📚

Just found your channel through this video and subscribed! If you haven't read them yet, I highly recommend the Murderbot series for scifi.
So happy you're here! I ADORE murderbot!!

Ooo I will check her out thank you!
Funny story reminded me of my partner too ❤️
My favourite sf book is The Vanished Birds by Simon Jimenez. I read it with my husband two years ago and we both loved it to pieces.
It’s also very moving and touching, so you can double up on science fiction and crying! 😂
Oo perfect thank you!
Love Lightfall, the third book is just as good, i don't understand how the author does it 🥰
Ahh I can't wait to read the third one!
I’m no allisonpaiges but hopefully a few new subscribers find you from my mid-year freak out tag! Wishing you all the growth over the last half of 2024 because you deserve it!
You're so sweet thank you so much ❤️
The dragon sound scared me 🤣
I'm so sorry 😂

I just want you to be prepared, Everything the Darkness Eats has some extremely triggering content. Definitely look up warnings before you go in ♥️
Very good to know thank you!

How is LGBTQIA+ a genre? Weird that Storygraph classifies it that way.

@@princxly Good point. It is handy to be able to search that way.
