I have a 2008 civic type r and driven the FK8 last month, the top end power really surprised me

I legit just got a 2021 type R like 30m ago lol what exhaust and tune for the crackles are you running bc I just order the HKS SSQV4 BOV and a PRL intake
Not my car it was a friends he also had the hks bov on a custom Hondata tune
Just purchased one as well less than 1k miles on it delivered with only 8 miles. I love it so much first mods are definitely intercooler and hondata tune.
Using Anti-lag right before limiter seems pretty pointless. Sounds nice don't get me wrong...

Nice video bro 😊 i just had a quick question. I have a 2020 type r and i was planning on putting a intake, downpipe , intercooler and a tune. And i just want it to see if you guys have had any mechanical problems while being FBO
FBO won't break anything. I'm running a catless downpipe, HVI and inlet pipe, exhaust, and my intercooler and charge piping are waiting for a decent day to be put on

You don't put a BOV on a MAF tuned car just so you know. Unless you want to make it run worse.

"Our cars are MAF tuned. This means the Mass Air Flow sensor is used to determine how much fuel needs to be added based on the measured metered air which flows past the MAF. An alternative to this would be MAP tuning, Manifold Absolute Pressure. Our car does have a MAP sensor, but the tuning for AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) targeting is based on the MAF with our cars. Arguably MAF is better than MAP, but generally speaking if you want to significantly modify and increase power output.... MAP is the preferred method.
So the issue is essentially..... normally MAF reads air - computer sees air and sends appropriate amount of fuel and the cylinder gets the proper mixture for a good combustion cycle, when the car is in boost, extra air is compressed and thus extra fuel is added to maintain the proper mixture. When you let off the gas, as the throttle plate closes, the pressure in the intake piping overwhelms the vacuum which opens the stock BPV (by pass valve), and that air is re-routed back into the intake track where it will continue to enter the engine before the throttle body closes it's flap. With a BOV in place of a BPV, the air is VTA (vented to atmosphere) which results in far less air making it's way into the engine. This is a big problem since the fuel being sent is still based on that metered air. Now you've got an abundance of fuel, which doesn't mix with enough air and doesn't burn, instead it washes the cylinder walls and pulls oil in the process. This new mixture of oil and fuel gets sent out with the exhaust stroke, which is not good. You've wasted fuel and oil, increased friction, and thrown extra hot fuel/oil mixture on your catalytic element. ALL BAD THINGS."
Also you def 100% do not use anti-lag on an unbuilt engine, especially if the downpipe still has a cat. Judging by the pulls done and the intervals the speedo refreshed I'm willing to bet it's just got some bolt ons and hondata.

@@JTAMEDIA So you could let your buddy know he's going to fuck his car up if he uses anti-lag. What do you mean by if you don't hear the pops? Hitting redline will pop, hondata TC retarding the ignition for wheel slip will pop, maxing out the fuel pump during a pull will do it, those are fine. Anti-lag on a stock engine would wreck the turbo and manifold plus the cat after too much use.

How has the motor held up with the antilag? Ive heard not to run it on a stock block or it'll blow up or something
It’s my buddy’s car it held up fine he’s never had any issues but he got the yellow type r now!

yes this is an official mod from mugen, but there is no package, it has to b bought separately, and it will cost you an arm, a leg, and a few internal organs
