I literally don't understand how she can comb her hair with her fingers without her hands getting covered with a bunch load of hair! Am I the only one with this problem???
Neta if a lot of hair is coming out while you comb your hair that sometimes means you need protein so try a protein treatment I usually do diy protein treatments search homemade protein treatments on TH-cam or on the web and you'll find a bunch
You can tell if you're protein sensitive if after you use a protein treatment your hair feels very dry and brittle or more hair is coming out then normal
Amel Kamal is it bad if you use Cantu with other products? My hair is heat damaged and I’ve been trying to let it be naturally curly and i use Cantu shampoo/conditioner with the Shea curl enhancing smoothie but my hair still comes out frizzy. Anyone know how to fix this ?
Issa Avocado maybe Cantu doesn’t work with you? Or maybe it’s the heat damage? Do you deep condition? There are so many other factors that can be causing the frizz, maybe the way your brush your hair, maybe because it’s heat damaged. And your curls need to be trained (for example, you could try finger coiling your curly?) I can’t give you good advice because idk anything about your hair sorry x
Amel Kamal I have 2c hair and no i don’t deep condition but I’m definitely gonna start 😂 I’m 15 and school starts in just a few weeks so i wanna come in with good hair instead of ironing it like i did every week. Thank you btw!
i'm a ho for shea moisture.... fave is either the coconut and hibiscus line? Or the African manuka honey but i prefer the smell of coconut and i'm petty like that so the coconut and hibiscus. actually come to think of it i like their leave in stuff better (shampoo and conditioner are equal) and it was one of the first natural products i used so it's special to me. okay i'll shut up now
I found some Shea Moisture Coconut Oil Line at Walgreens the other day and tried it last night and my god the results are stunning! My hair feels soo soft and looks soo healthy and it smells like coconut and I just LOVE this shampoo and conditioner. I'll definitely be buying more of this stuff.
Priscilla Yes, sometimes they have good sales at Rite-Aid, CVS, etc. With coupons and the sales, you can really score some great deals. And then you get back rewards to spend on future sprees.
I have both the shampoo and the conditioner. I have to agree they are pricy but have completely changed my hair!! My hair used to be so damaged and shea moisture saved it!! i really recommend their products because they saved my hair!! i also recommend their hair masks they leave your hair shiny and so soft.
Shea Moisture isn't so readily available here in India, not to mention its expensive in our currency, but I finally made the jump and bought the Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque after saving up for it. BEST DECISION EVER! After using it just a few times, I suddenly realized that my hair was less prone to frizz, was shiny and defined, and the back of my head which always remained flat and frizzy was now forming curls! I have yet to try any of the other lines due to availability, but I'm now a hardcore fan of Shea Moisture when it comes to treatments. The jar also lasts an incredibly long time. It's been over three months since I got it and I've barely made a dent in it even using it once a week. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get at least six months if not a full year with it. Truly value for money!
I love their foundation, it's really pretty and it has great coverage a little goes a long way and it's a dewy finish. It's by far my favorite foundation
I just seen these at target! lol but i went there to try out the Maui moisture bamboo fibers line lol but I'll definitely try this line next! My hair is fine so it gets weighed down easily, and these products didn't seem to weigh your down. Your hair looks amazing! Great review! ☺
CJMendoza804 their conditioner butns my skin for some reason. i had to stop using it. i am using pacifica pineapple conditioner but it makes my hair feel like theres too much protein but i might just have todo acv rinse
Thank you for reviewing this new line by SheaMoisture. I have wavy/curly hair and love using the Jamaican Black Caster Oil Leave In Conditioner. I use this on my hair as a styling product as well and it works beautifully. I truly believe that this product has helped strengthen my hair and has helped it to grow too. On alternate days, I use SM Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie along with the Curl and Style Milk from the same line. I love the way these 2 products smell and my hair comes out really curly and very soft. I'll definitely try the new VCODH Leave In Conditioner, too.
Hi Penny , wanted to say a big thank u love it video,s.... I've tried the Shea Moisture leave in conditioner over the last 4days my hair looks and feels amazing already.for the 1st time in a long time washing my hair wasn't a chore .I was able to comb my hair which was incredible.... thank u again live ur way
Your hair looks so good! Are all of the shea moisture products silicone free? I have the coconut and hibiscus souffle and smoothie but recently started the cg method and can't get a straight answer as to whether they have silicone or not? Thank you for any help! X
CurlyPenny *I LOVE YOUR CHANAL SO MUCH YOU HAVE SUCH A INCREDIBLE PERSONALITY PIÑEL KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOUR DOING YOU ARE HELPING SO MANY PEOPLE INCLUDING ME SO THANK YOU* i wish i could meet you 😭😍😍😍😍
I love love the jbco line BC it gives me a great scent it leaves my hair nice and shiny and soft.also the jbco is good for hair to grow longer. Also when I use the jbco line I use the actual jbco oil to put in my hair for growth and to help my hair not become so frizzy. Love u curly penny. Im going to try the Shea butter line next then the coconut one
I love this line!!! I recently found out they have a gel as well and I am in love!! It’s so great!! 👍🏼👍🏼 it makes me not want to try any other products
Those faces XD I had tried the line of fruit fusion coconut water and I liked it but I like exploring other products and because of my budget I haven't tried out any products of their line again :'( Well the results are nice, I like the shine and volume... but I must say that I liked my hair (that is the same as yours, and low porosity too) with the soft poofy curls. However, where I live its always humid (with high dew point) and by the end of the day my hair was more poofy and frizzy. So now I use more gel (LA Sports Gel) to have more tight cumply curls and less leave in (because of the glycerin/ humectants), and I don't scrunch out the gel because the weather does it for me haha but if I'm in an important place well I might scrunch it out a little. Well this is just my way of me dealing with the weather that I have. But feel free to try it though!
I have all the products from this line and I really like all of them but like she said the conditioner doesn't have as much slip but it's a very good product and leaves your hair smelling fruity and my curls have come out really nice
You're almost at 200k 😱 congrats Peniel! 💜 I would love to try this line! Especially the leave in ☺️ coconut oil usually weighs my hair down by itself... but when its in products it seems to work better for my curls. My favorite Shea Moisture product is the Jamaican black Castor Oil leave in. It pairs well with any product I use it with... and moisturizes my fine curls very well without weighing them down! 💖
I went out and purchased the shampoo & conditioner after watching your video. I was a little nervous because my hair is protein sensitive and coconut has protein. When my hair dried it was curlier than usual which I attributed to the shampoo & conditioner. It was super moisturized and beautiful! I absolutely love these. I wanted to try the spray leave in but thought it would be overdoing it with the moisture. Next time it’s on sale I’ll pick it up. Great video!
Cantu is free from all things mention just like Shea moisture is. Do the research. Cantu and Creme of Nature are both free from all the bad stuff and are just as good as Shea moisture, but with out the price tag👍. And for the record I use and own all 3 brands, and Shea moisture is good if your in the mood to pay more for their variety of products.
Mo Mo actually I have done my research which is why I said IT DOES have those things. I've been in the store holding a bottle of the stuff reading the ingredients and being flabbergasted that it has those things because I've heard so much about how it doesn't. Look at the ingredients. It is not free of them.
My favorite product by shea moisture is the manuka honey and mafura oil twist defining custard. It's the thickest thing in the world but I can use them for twist outs, up do's, and wash n go's.
Hello! I did a vlog-type review on both the shampoo and conditioner. I like the shampoo since it didn't strip my hair, but the conditioner was too light for my afro. I might try the shampoo again in the future, but for now, I'm looking at other brands.
Looks awesome!!! I would def use the leave-in. My hair was protein sensitive at first when I started curly girl but recently needed it added back in because my curls fell almost straight (I was super sad). Now I'm back to using coconut stuff!
my favorite shea moisture products are literally everything in the coconut and hibiscus line. i began my hair journey a few years ago. i had remembered seeing the line in the shops and just falling in love with the packaging. a few months later, i got the courage to go into the natural section and pick up the shampoo and conditioner. I read the side labels. no sulfates, no silicones, no animal testing, etc. i had no clue what sulfates were, but the absence of them sounded good to me. i washed my hair. the scent was fucking orgasmic. i rinsed my hair and conditioned. again, a wonderful scent. the conditioner was smooth and softening, and felt softer than silk in my hands. once i got out of the shower, i dried my hair. i took out of that god forsaken towel and walked over to the mirror to see what i was working with. then i stopped. my curls were big and defined and voluminous- my hair was gorgeous. i added a little bit of product to it to hold those curls and let my hair air dry. the scent lasted for a long time after that. after a few weeks of washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner, i bought the rest of the line. i realize i must have looked insane, with all of that scooped into my arms, but i didn’t care. this was the beginning of a seemingly never ending obsession with the coconut and hibiscus line. flash foreword to now, and i’ve tried to branch out my products. i’ve tried devacurl, camille rose naturals, rizos curls, as i am, not your mother’s,and everything else you could possibly think of, but i keep going back.
I just tried this and I do have copper color hair and the shampoo did strip my hair a lot but I do use semi permanent but stripped more than tresseme etc. the conditioner for me was a no my hair was rough not soft and I had so many knots I had to use my Aussie and then rinse out. Then I used the shea conditioner just for the smell. Idk just wasn’t for me I’m waiting for it to dry .
Great video. Just a tip for the future. Several of the shampoos and conditioners from SM are available in travel size 3.5 oz bottles. You should look into those so you don't always have to buy a regular size bottle, in case you don't like it.
Hi the conditioner has Cetyl alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol. Doesn’t seem to be that great for those with curly hair. But thanks for being transparent and showing the ingredients to the camera:)
I got this product since yesterday Penny, sence I wanna try something that doesn’t do flakes around my shirts no more and this product does work for me as well 👍
I love Shea Moisture! I am using the Super Fruit Complex 10 in1 renewal system (shampoo, conditioner and masque) plus the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-in conditioner. By the way, what do you think about leave-in conditioners?
I loved this video, I want to buy the all thing. Just a remainder: coconut oil doesn't contain protein. It's a oil, it's 100% fat. I heard and read this myth all over the internet but, I'm telling you, oils are made of fat only. Some oils (especially cold pressed) contain protein that was in the nut but they are too big to penetrate the hair follicle... so if you're protein sensitive oils in general are not something you should concern about. Oils penetrate in the hair in a way similar to protein... but even more similar to your own sebum!
My favorite shea moisture product is the mongongo hemp seed oil high porosity line, it's so good but to detangle my hair I use the 100% virgin coconut oil leave in treatment. Congrats. Ps: U should do a review on the mongongo hemp seed oil high poroity line and yeah.
Hi i live in new zealand and found your channel and all i can say is that i love it!! I have since watching your channel started my own natural hair journey😊 and so far i love it. So thank you for inspiring me to do so!!!
You have a very like comforting tone of voice. ☺️ also I hated this product while hair was wet but loved it after it dried and I brushed it. I have slightly wavy hair but mostly straight.
Hi, first sorry for the misspellings, I'm french... I just wanted to mention that the products I saw on this video weren't THAT natural... In the shampoo, I saw "polyquaternium-7", which has similar effets as silicones. Besides, every strange word having "-monium chloride" as the same effects as silicones too.. You should research all the weird words of the INCI, it may be usefull if you want to have 100% natural products and be able to see a REAL difference trought the years. And I knoooow what I am talking about ;) I really hope this message will be usefull for at least one person. But above all, I looove your videos, thank you for all!
I agree, often so called "natural" or "better" products are recommended that are more expensive or difficult to get. Actually almost all products are the same. It's really frustrating when you search for good products.
I really like these products and they smell good. Make the hair soft but not weighed down. Also you can find them half price at Ross or TJ Maxx sometimes.
Hey @CurlyPenny! Coconut oil does NOT have any proteins in it what so ever, but what it does have is protein retention properties which may not react well to protein sensitive hair! Just wanted to leave this here...no hate. xoxo :)
I know I don't have super thick, curly hair but I have really thick, straight hair. if I blow dry it with out straightening it after my hair gets sooo...wide...if that makes sense. that's why I picked up this coconut oil shampoo hoping it will help tame my hair.
Coconut oil actually doesn't have protein, however coconut milk and coconut water do contain protein. Maybe your hair has hardened in the past with coconut oil because coconut oil itself hardens depending upon temperature but regardless great results, love your videos
great review! 😊 i personally love their black castor oil and peppermint line since my hair needs recovery from heat damage (i recently transitioned to being natural again🦁🙌)
Hey Penny first of I love you and your videos so much and you're absolutely beautiful❤ I'm trying to grow out my hair do you have tips on how I can maintain my ends and keep them heathy while growing it out.
Could you do a review of Maui moisture? They have a shampoo and conditioner for curly hair that's in a pink bottle. Also, I'm currently using the Zanzibar marine complex age defy & color protect shampoo, and the sea kelp and pearl protein color extender conditioner. I swear that has made my hair the softest.
If you don’t have a micro fiber towel, can you use a shirt? I’ve heard of it before from somebody who doesn’t really like curly hair but you’re the expert.
Congrats on being sponsored by SHEA FREAKING MOISTURE BABE!!!! That's huge 🔥
IndiaBatson queen commenting on another queen's video
+IndiaBatson thanks babe!
Yeahhh

Sponsored? Ok now I’m not buying Shea moisture.

You can tell if you're protein sensitive if after you use a protein treatment your hair feels very dry and brittle or more hair is coming out then normal
Thank you so much for the help
Each time I see shea moisture stuff at the store I want to buy it all. But then I realize I'm broke. *sigh*
Atomic Black ikr
Try Cantu if u haven’t already!
Amel Kamal is it bad if you use Cantu with other products? My hair is heat damaged and I’ve been trying to let it be naturally curly and i use Cantu shampoo/conditioner with the Shea curl enhancing smoothie but my hair still comes out frizzy. Anyone know how to fix this ?

hahaha I love you Rocío. :D I also love Shea moisture!
I'm so excited you were able to collaborate with Shae Moisture 😊 Proud of you!! ❤️
Lydia Kay Hutchinson thanks love!
Pero it's so expensive
Priscilla ikr but not as expensive as devacurl
Priscilla They go on sale all the time and I can usually find coupons in the paper. Just gotta keep an eye out! 😉
Priscilla Yes, sometimes they have good sales at Rite-Aid, CVS, etc. With coupons and the sales, you can really score some great deals. And then you get back rewards to spend on future sprees.
Pero like I had to ask my aBuELa for champu
It's the good stuff tho
Shea moisture conditioner is the only product that makes my hair so soft and my curls so defined love it!
I'm going to be so happy when my hair is as long as yours 😩 I've gone since February without using heat on my hair and it's so healthy now
I have both the shampoo and the conditioner. I have to agree they are pricy but have completely changed my hair!! My hair used to be so damaged and shea moisture saved it!! i really recommend their products because they saved my hair!! i also recommend their hair masks they leave your hair shiny and so soft.
I am so happy you did a review on these! I just bought these earlier this month and so far I love them! So glad you liked them too!
There have been some disputes over the shea moisture products and honestly im lost at what to do

I’m in love with the spray 😩makes me get tingly inside.
I just seen these at target! lol but i went there to try out the Maui moisture bamboo fibers line lol but I'll definitely try this line next! My hair is fine so it gets weighed down easily, and these products didn't seem to weigh your down. Your hair looks amazing! Great review! ☺
Natalie Coleman I def gotta review maui moisture!
CurlyPenny yay! can't wait! 🙂
Natalie Coleman Maui is actually so good, the curl smoothie!!
Maui Moisture is great! Their conditioners are bomb.
I use the bar soap for my face from this same brand im in love with it.
Its because of you that i ever even tried shea moisture. Fitting for them to recognize and sponsor you! Congrats!
Your hair looks perfect!! This line did you so good!!
The curl enhancing smoothie is my fave it works really well on my thick 3b hair
this line looks really good I might try it😇
I love Shea moisture! Their line for curly hair is the best, you can't go wrong with it and I love coconut so it smells bomb :)
Hey Penny, have you heard of Maui Moisture? If so, could you review it please?
GIRL YOUR HAIR LOOKS GOOD
Hi Penny , wanted to say a big thank u love it video,s.... I've tried the Shea Moisture leave in conditioner over the last 4days my hair looks and feels amazing already.for the 1st time in a long time washing my hair wasn't a chore .I was able to comb my hair which was incredible.... thank u again live ur way
I used their extra virgin coconut oil, Manuka Honey, Peace rose oil, and African Water Mint. Peace rose oil is my personal favorite
Your hair looks so good! Are all of the shea moisture products silicone free? I have the coconut and hibiscus souffle and smoothie but recently started the cg method and can't get a straight answer as to whether they have silicone or not? Thank you for any help! X
Heather Massey all of Shea moisture is CG friendly
+Heather Massey all products by shea moisture are sulfate free and silicone free (:

Also when I use the jbco line I use the actual jbco oil to put in my hair for growth and to help my hair not become so frizzy. Love u curly penny. Im going to try the Shea butter line next then the coconut one
Thanks for reviewing this line. I am excited to try it after hearing your results. I am protein sensitive as well.
My favorite product from Shea Moisture is the Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Style Milk.
I love this line!!! I recently found out they have a gel as well and I am in love!! It’s so great!! 👍🏼👍🏼 it makes me not want to try any other products
Those faces XD
I had tried the line of fruit fusion coconut water and I liked it but I like exploring other products and because of my budget I haven't tried out any products of their line again :'(
Well the results are nice, I like the shine and volume... but I must say that I liked my hair (that is the same as yours, and low porosity too) with the soft poofy curls.
Super video review!! Right to the point and no fluff
( a bunch of talking 👍🏽)
I really liked it and I’m going to buy the products.
Thank you 😊
I have all the products from this line and I really like all of them but like she said the conditioner doesn't have as much slip but it's a very good product and leaves your hair smelling fruity and my curls have come out really nice

Do you still use it?
Xyz _ yes, and I still love it 😍
JeanannO thanks it didnt feel to oily or make you have any scalp problems?
Can you review cantu.
Tammy Dowell yes!!
Tammy Dowell cantu is full of sulfates and silicones and penny doesn't use those on her hair.
MoochiAndLovebug they have 5 free products
Cantu is free from all things mention just like Shea moisture is. Do the research. he's awesome!
Hello! I did a vlog-type review on both the shampoo and conditioner. I like the shampoo since it didn't strip my hair, but the conditioner was too light for my afro. I might try the shampoo again in the future, but for now, I'm looking at other brands.
+Sophisticated Flower I agree, the conditioner was not enough for my hair, I should have deep conditioned
Everything shea moisture coconut. I have the body wash, lotions, and hair products
So I’m starting my curly hair journey, and your reviews are helping me a TON
Can you please review the Shea moisture low porosity line😁😄
Right? 😂
Looks awesome!!! I would def use the leave-in. My hair was protein sensitive at first when I started curly girl but recently needed it added back in because my curls fell almost straight (I was super sad). Now I'm back to using coconut stuff!

my FAVVVV shea moisture product is the curl enhancing smoothie (coconut and hibiscus) 😍😍
Hi the conditioner has Cetyl alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol. Doesn’t seem to be that great for those with curly hair. But thanks for being transparent and showing the ingredients to the camera:)
I got this product since yesterday Penny, sence I wanna try something that doesn’t do flakes around my shirts no more and this product does work for me as well 👍
OMG i have been lookin at this product at the store for a while and i have been dieing to use now at least i know it works
I feel like this line was created for people who are super active and have curly to kinky hair. So they actually have to wash more than they would
Love the video thanks! I so want to try these products. Love your personality 😊
I love Shea Moisture! I am using the Super Fruit Complex 10 in1 renewal system (shampoo, conditioner and masque) plus the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-in conditioner. By the way, what do you think about leave-in conditioners?

Hi, first sorry for the misspellings, I'm french...
I just wanted to mention that the products I saw on this video weren't THAT natural...
In the shampoo, I saw "polyquaternium-7", which has similar effets as silicones. Besides, every strange word having "-monium chloride" as the same effects as silicones too..
You should research all the weird words of the INCI, it may be usefull if you want to have 100% natural products and be able to see a REAL difference trought the years. And I knoooow what I am talking about ;)
I really hope this message will be usefull for at least one person.
But above all, I looove your videos, thank you for all!
Hi! Do you have any recommendations for super natural shampoos and conditioners? Thanks!
@@fuckit5447 calia shampoo is amazing
Amélie Charnay
Bonjour Mademoiselle! Je'mapplle mademoiselle smol pépé!
I agree, often so called "natural" or "better" products are recommended that are more expensive or difficult to get. Actually almost all products are the same. It's really frustrating when you search for good products.
Hey, what do you think about Faith in Nature?
This is so random but Penny’s smile is so pretty! Lights up my day😍😍😍
Coconut oil makes my hair limp😓
I wonder why, if the products don't contain silicones, they don't put that on the packaging
I really like these products and they smell good. Make the hair soft but not weighed down.
Also you can find them half price at Ross or TJ Maxx sometimes.
Your hair is growing already loved this video
Just started using these products! LOVE THEM! ♥
May have to try this. My hair is loose waves and I love this brand.
Hey Penny! I'm curious, do you often change up your wash routine? If so, how often and which products do you use the most?
Hey @CurlyPenny! Coconut oil does NOT have any proteins in it what so ever, but what it does have is protein retention properties which may not react well to protein sensitive hair! Just wanted to leave this here...no hate. xoxo :)
Shea moisture high porosity gel. Best gel I've tried so far and my hair type seems very similar to yours Penny. Maybe you can try that next 😉
Hi Penny! I apply almond oil BEFORE my curl defining product,so that it nourishes the hair. Should I apply it AFTER the curl product?
Thanks beautiful. I like other products from shea moisture coz this shampoo made my hair dry and frizzy. :(
i have the leave in treatment and it smells so good!
Shea moisture is amazing! But ESPECIALLY THIS LINE 💗💗 works for both me andddd my daughter!
Your Hair came out so beautiful 😍😍
I know I don't have super thick, curly hair but I have really thick, straight hair. if I blow dry it with out straightening it after my hair gets sooo...wide...if that makes sense. that's why I picked up this coconut oil shampoo hoping it will help tame my hair.
Coconut oil actually doesn't have protein, however coconut milk and coconut water do contain protein. Maybe your hair has hardened in the past with coconut oil because coconut oil itself hardens depending upon temperature but regardless great results, love your videos
+Kendall I know coconut isn't a protein, but it acts like one for a lot of people.
CurlyPenny ah okay good to know
great review! 😊 i personally love their black castor oil and peppermint line since my hair needs recovery from heat damage (i recently transitioned to being natural again🦁🙌)
I don't like the smell but I have the leave in and I really like it I wanna try the sacha inchi line because it smells so good
Their skin care is amazing too
Hey Penny first of I love you and your videos so much and you're absolutely beautiful❤ I'm trying to grow out my hair do you have tips on how I can maintain my ends and keep them heathy while growing it out.
Gril I love your videos. Your a so much fun to watch, Your hair looked great by the way.
My favorite lines are the coconut and hibiscus line and the Jamaican Castro oil line 🤗🤗
Tried the conditioner and did not like it at all, nearly 0 slip, perhaps these are for looser curls only although it says all hair types
Your hair looks amazing!!
Beautiful hair! Love your videos❤❤
Hey ...could U make a video on curly hair falling out how to cope with lots of hair falling out during shampooing???
Red Cheetos I really hope she does, I suffer from the same thing
