Brad Jersak is an author and teacher based in Abbotsford, BC, where he attends Fresh Wind Christian Fellowship and serves as Reader at All Saints of North America Monastery. His heart is to share the good news that God is Love and that God’s love was shown to us perfectly in Jesus of Nazareth. Through his books and seminars, Brad teaches that anyone can learn to hear God’s voice through the simple practice of ”listening prayer.” Those who practice listening prayer find that God’s love heals wounded hearts and empowers them to heal this broken world.
Brad Jersak’s foundational book, “Can You Hear Me? Tuning in to the God who speaks” trains readers in the ways of “Listening Prayer.” This book provides biblical teaching and 33 practical exercises for tuning in to God’s voice.

Thank you Brad for your courage to reject the lies even at your expense. I was raised evangelical and I have never once in my life had peace. When I came to this truth, I felt sick and nauseous. But it's exactly like a drowning person, when they take that first big breath of air after being deprived of oxygen for so long. Nausea comes. Then it goes. Then you're at peace, because you are alive!

Thanks for sharing this! It's so hard for me to settle on Love. My house settles down there isn't anymore yelling and I start feeling like there is something wrong or were all being fake. I feel so lost in my career right now as an RN. I want to feel God again

Your message on the cross is excellent.. Cross is the ultimate demonstration of God's Love for mankind. But you forget one thing... God will not violate the Free Will of man ... Eternal Life is a Free Gift to mankind through the death of Jesus Christ. Man should repent of their sins and accept the free gift of God... This concept is very evident in the Book of Acts and through out the Epistles...

sam Thomas you misconstrue what “sin” is and what repentance is. Sin is being separated from God through unbelief. Gods will is for all men to believe in him, so as to have hope in him. Repent of your unbelief and turn to God in hope. That’s the Gospel. The good news is God loves humanity so much he died for us, now love your neighbour. That’s it.

"Repentance" is not grovelling before God declaring how unworthy I am, and how sorry I am, and begging for forgiveness. It is waking up to the truth that God is all love, and that I am the object of Their love. And unless that is REVEALED to me, I cannot know that. And ultimately, God WILL reveal that to everyone! The mystery is in the WHEN and HOW, not in the WHETHER!

2 Cor 5:21 He became sin in our place. Isiaih 53:5,6 He took our punishment on Him.

Why would God's love exclude Jesus dying on the cross for our sins? Jesus took our death and sin upon himself in our place: I can't imagine something more loving than that. It's not so much that God was furious with us and had to vent his anger but that evil must be atoned for in order to uphold justice: 'But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us' Rom 5:8.

Good question. I recommend watching part 1 of this series because he answers that question. Briefly, it has to do with the character of God: His wrath did not need to be satisfied. He took on our sins to save us from sin, death, and the adversary, which were natural consequences, not because Jesus had to overcome God's wrath. (See Christus Victor view of Atonement)

He is a coward who will not debate me
The Orthodox love to change the gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4) into one or other of the models of the gospel, so they can change the topic from what it really is - salvation in Christ alone, without works (filthy rags) and acts of priestcraft.

how mature for YOU to label someone else a coward because they won’t and let’s say the real word.. ARGUE with YOU about what the gospel is. how about instead of commenting that someone else is a coward you comment what the real undiluted gospel is? you’d make much more progress im sure.

So how did Jesus preach to souls in Hades if He reassured the dying thief they were heading to Paradise ? Yet Jesus asked Mary on ressurection morning not to delay Him as He had not ascended to Heaven ?
