I’m on Xbox 1 I can’t get to the mint box when I try to get in the package the front is not sunken in the ground like yours me and my friend have grinded early on and haven’t completed the game we got past the part after meeting burgle and when we crouch to get in the container the little ledge on the bottom is too high up

When I had problems with wolf spiders coming into my room from my ac vent. I searched online for a non toxic/chemical alternative to keeping them away. Idk if it’s true but they apparently hate/fear the smell of mint
I would like to see a mini guide on killing each enemy type. I know most enemies aren't that hard to kill with decent gear but early on you can still kill them with a bit if effort.
Lady birds. Ride on their backs, shoot enemy with arrow or even run up and throw a rock. Stand on lady bird back, enemy tries to attack you and hits lady bug..... So far I've watched a lady bug kill 12 larva in one go, 2 spiders and 2 stink bugs like this without issue. Obviously this requires a lady bird nearby but is great for early game resource harvesting. The easiest way is always to get the high ground and then just arrow a land spear them.
Acorn gear isn't so great, it's just a bit of health boost. You can beat most insects without taking any damage. You want the upgraded eye patch Spider or grub chest and Aphid slippers. Upgraded Eye patch gives you an extra hit in the combo and more damage. Get from BURGL for 2500 science. Ant Hill Chip. Spider chest speeds up stamina recovery Grub chest increases stamina bar. Aphid Slippers increase speed. 1. You want a minimum of an Ant Club, try and stay to the side of the insect and swing away. Stay in close and avoid the front of the bugs. 2. Learn the Attack animations for the bugs. Each one forecasts their attacks, you can get a perfect block and avoid all damage. Take a swing then get ready to block again. Note: Only attacks you can't block are stink bug cloud and Bombardier Acid. Gas mask nullifies the stink cloud. 3. Find slightly elevated areas or terrain that blocks bugs from getting to you and use bows. Too high an elevation the bugs will leave and regain health. Another tip is to be on the same elevation but have a gap in terrain between you, most bugs will stay in threat posture at the edge of the gap letting you pelt them with arrows.
Thanks for the info I appreciate it. I love this game. The only minor issue with the game so far that I have is the weapon and crafting maneuverability on Console. The Mint Mallet can also be used as an actual hammer instead of using the Insect Hammer. This did not actually occur to me when I read it's name because I thought it was just a weapon. I was trying to kill some larva next to some quartzite and ended up breaking it. Then I remembered that the other tools can be used as weapons, so why not the other way around...
An easy to kill bombardier beetle is the solo one by the underground lab in the cave. There is a small rock he gets hung up on and you can just shoot him with arrows and he stands there. With most of them if you plot your area you can get them hung up on geometry small rocks/branches and just pick them off. Required 50 arrows for me though
Best damage set: Mint Mallet eyepatch and any other armors Best defence set: mint mallet and full acorn or ladybug set or spider set best speed set: mite hat aphid boots and spider chestplate
I find the mosquito rapier to be more useful. For daggers the spider fang dagger does everything. It hacks, poisons baddies, and can be used under water to devastating effect.
For ten bucks, yeah. Anymore than that at its current state, pass. I've had fun... All two days it got me from start, to figuring out what worked and what didn't, build a base, then geared myself out to start killing things easier. Currently, I'm bored with it. There's just no new areas for me to explore, no new bugs to kill, no new gear to craft, no new things to put in my base to make it prettier. I know it's early access. I'm just airing out my impatience until the next update.
Okay so in an update it got changed so I’m just going to say how to unlock it now incase someone finds this video instead of an up to date one Go to black ant hill lab and kill the assistant manager miniboss, after that grab the burgl chip and the keycard, then go to the sandbox lab, currently it’s just one room with the burgl chip in it, so grab that then give it to burgl when you have given burgl the sandbox chip yiu can buy the recipe for 2500 raw science This is a very brief and shoddy run down if you wanna know more find an up to date video I guess Also remember I’m just saying this incase someone finds this and doesn’t understand why it isn’t working
Okay, so I don't know if I'm glitching or just bad at life, but I can't get into the ice caps box. I've opened the door and destroyed the blocking mint, but no combination of crouch, wiggle, jump, or anything lets me into the box. I'm so close to this mallet I can TASTE it, but the fresh breath of doom eludes my grasp!
Okay, so for anyone else who has this issue, I found a way through. I built a grass floor right at the entrance, then crouched and wiggled until I made it through. I guess the problem before was that the bottom lip was too high....
Note: You don't need to be good at killing spiders to get silk. You can chop away at spider webs to get it. Just watch your 6, make sure there aren't any coming. I was able to harvest all of the spider silk from the empty overturned flower pot without being seen.
Only take 3 chunks at a time. there is a bug that makes them regenerate if not fully smashed up. Also, only 4 players, so right now 20 mint chunks is plenty.
Well i think bows are realy overpowered in Graunded after i got my 1st bow i could actualy kill all bugs in game and after u get poison arrows game is easy just go to high ground and shoot down those poor bugs :D
@@TheBlakamon15 they start running away at realy low hp so you can just run after them and hunt them down anyway neak oak tree there are wooden fence(where you can build) with leaf near that helps you to get on (there is a tent with scaner) in that place you can kill them easly
a bow and like 50+ arrows, or if your lucky try have ladybug fight it by punching the ladybug and lure it to the stinkbug as the gas attack of the stink bug will hurt the ladybug and thus the lady bug will kill the stink bug 9 times out of 10 theirs only a small chance the stink bug will win. but hey then you get lady bug parts or the head for the insect axe or lady bug armour.
Are you playing single player or multiplayer rn I’ve been playing both I just got my little brother to start playing so we can play but man I think I was having equal amount of fun just being by myself.
Seems like it would be safer NOT harvesting the excess mints given how easy it is for storage chests to be raided or destroyed. Not to mention the overall buggyness of the game.
Huh? Man I learned early on, don't build on the ground. The ants will dog your stuff. Build on a rock or the wooden walls. That way can't nothing get up there.
@@steved2938 I read through the comments. You have to get right up on the mint and angle your cursor down when you mine. It'll make a different sound but it wasn't showing that I was even mining the mint.
I'm pretty sure I saw one in the game, It didn't attack me as I was crouched. though it was night time and I had no torch so I could have been something else but it was very long and had a lot of legs. however I've only seen it once.

Jordas77 it was a line of larva I can say that with full confidence because the same thing happened to me but mine attacked me at my base they ran in line of about 7 making it look like a centipede and I’m not gonna lie I freaked the hell out thinking it was a centipede

you've got to make sure you're actually hitting the mint. They didn't do a good job making this very intuitive. Just keep angling your body until you start collecting the chunks. Also you need a level 2 hammer, don't forget that!
you need to perfect block it as if you just block it the venom from it's attack will kill you. personally though I recommend a bow with 100+ arrows and a height advantage over it I've killed five of them this way two on the first day with clover armour. hope this helps
My method for killing wolf spiders is height, and at least 40-60 arrows. I say so many bc I never encounter just one spider when there's a wolfie. 40 for him, and 20 for his Orb friend that almost always shows up. If you've got height, he'll pace the area trying to get to you and will get stuck on something. (using the Insect Bow)
Always eat a bandage before you start the fight. Block one hit, then hit it back, then repeat. It’s slow but it’s better then getting greedy and losing a bunch of health from missing a block.

If you don't completely destroy the mint it will fully replenish the next day

I found mint in the western ant hill.
With the beetle constantly circle it whilst attacking and I managed to do it with just an acorn chest and ant bat

Bombardier beetles are easy to kill with melee.
They nerfed TF out of this weapon, just unlocked it and it's not full bar stun at all and less damage as well now. Frick. ☠️
As of now I found another mint! It is in the ant hill where you drop down A hole. It is next to the anthill burgl chip and a piece of bee armor

The boiling gland is from the bombardier beetle. So you need stinkbugs and a bombardier part.

I believe it’s just the weapon repair kit that you can craft at the work bench. You don’t need more mints.

You need the Boiling Gland from the Bombardier beetle. It's a random drop so might have to kill a few before you get it.
