Nice home. Well-appointed, and quality materials and appliances. It would certainly pay off in the long run rather than lesser quality. Nice size lot. I can see you two living in this choice.

I really really like the layout of this home, most of all, so far. Nice space a future garden, as well.
It’s a shame that Redrow have so many extras now, I have a Redrow home since 9 years and back then their moto was “what their extras is own standard” but now it seems everything is extra.
The kitchen has some nice features. Big and bright rooms. Good starter home....
Remove the door to the living room! Opens up the space. Love the two tone kitchen. Lots of storage! .
Or just have it open to the left instead of the right.
Bit of lack of planning on the upstairs bathrooms. The shared bath is located closest to the only room that doesn't use it. The two bedrooms that share it are at the opposite end of the hall. Perhaps it is bc it is a much smaller space than I am accustomed to. I am in Canada and like each bedroom to have a designated adjoining bath.
Redrow (this developer) do bathrooms to each bedroom on their lifestyle properties I believe. But you loose a bedroom (which I prefer in those, they loose the box room and the bedrooms are better size, I think Elliot and matt toured the Oxford lifestyle property).
I notice redrow houses arnt brilliant on the smaller homes. Their bigger builds are *gorgeous* but the smaller builds just don’t hit the same way
Also in much older houses we didn’t build bathrooms as they didn’t have internal plumbing. You’ll still find lots of old UK houses with outhouses and extension bathrooms - prior to indoor bathrooms we used to keep a bath in the kitchen to wash (usually around once a week). So it’s taken us a long time to catch up with eñ suites - like you I much prefer when each room has their own, but in standard UK houses most will just have a main family bathroom.
I’m constantly amazed at how small the homes in the UK are. And that walk-in closets are so rare. In the US, our closets are the size of some of the rooms in the UK. But this home was really cute!

The extras really do add up! Nice property though. The door into the living room is in the way when open, I feel. Thought all unit doors & drawers would be soft close nowadays. Good job lads, keep em coming ....

Here in the US we don’t have doors to our living rooms. Could you take the door off to give you more space along the wall? If you want a door you could use a sliding barn door, my personal favorite. Just a thought. 😊. This is what happens when you take me on a house tour...🤣😂

I think most designers suggest not placing living room furniture up against the walls. They did a very nice job with the garden. Are solar panels an option?

Depends on the size of the extension. You would typically need to check just to make sure.
It’s nice for a small home but quite expensive for what it is.
Honestly this type of house would be £500.000 in London. Uk prices are crazy

It was indicated around £370k but non have been released as of typing this.
Why do so many developers use useless cupboards...you can literally get corner cupboards and then have doors that open to the right and the left and have fabulous space you can access. It costs such a tiny amount more than a 1000 with a 500 next to it. Sigh.
Some things should come as standard .I think .i.e turf, carpets and wardrobes ..Your paying enough as it is ..? For just shy of £300 !@

Am I the only person who detests this new fad of putting a poxy lounge at the front of the house next to the street and a kitchen in an enormous space at the rear with the patio doors opening into the garden? Swap the damned rooms around!
It’s hardly a new fad. Look at traditional U.K.1920’s, 30’s, 40’s etc style homes and the living room is usually situated at the front. ‘Front Room’
We quite like the kitchen to rear as it serves for a good entertainment flow into the garden.
