Thank you for taking the time to share this video! 😊I have a few favorites from CS too. It feels like you just told us you were expecting, although I’m sure it doesn’t feel that way to you! My how time flies! You look like the picture of health, Ladybug! Much love to you and your growing family, it won’t be long now, Mama! 😊❤️🕊
Omgoodness!!! I have had such a hectic summer, I’ve not had a chance to watch any of your videos…. I had no idea your having an baby! Congratulations! Your also working with candle science, my favorite oil company!! This is awesome it makes me so happy for you, when I go away and busy , come back and I see you have PROGRESSED this makes me happy….. you have earned it! Best wishes to you and Chris both…
Love Candle Science currently placing an order, I will definitely mention you 🥰 Limoncello Creme is my husbands favorite, I have that scent going in all of the wax warmers in the house😅, all he keeps saying is man that’s a good one 😂 I agree but it’s everywhere lol. Thank you for this video it was nice to see you pouring and you truly look amazing 🥰
The Santal and Coconut is my sisters favorite too. When she comes to visit, I walk her through making her own melts. Beautiful momma, excited for y'all and baby!
What is your favorite wax to work with? Thankfully i have a supplier close to home but when it comes to candle jars im a bit nervous as there isnt really anything. Im in the research phase with the goal to start testing by christmas. I have been watching your videos for awhile and i love how your handcrafted candles look. I have learned so much already!
Hi Erica thank you so much for your video!! When letting the candles rest for 72 hours does the room where you let them cure, has to be at room temperature? Like if its winter should I put the heat at certain temperature? Or if its too hot
Hi, I'm new at making candles. I'm just at the testing phase. I got a 8.5 oz 3" diameter clear jar straight sided libbey vessels from CS and used a eco 14 as they recommend for this jar size. I noticed that it leaves a black mark after burning for a while. Did you experience this? How to avoid it? The melt pool is good, the size of the flame is good so I don't know...Appreciate your opinion🙏
I'm very surprised you have not had more issues with the clear jars. I have spent nearly a month working through issues such as: Wax Shrinkage, Discoloration and other burning issues.
Hey - Such an informative video! Could you let me know where you brought the candle jars from please? I've been trying to find one like it. Thank you :)
Hi I can’t find the custom wicker listed and the wick holders in the links for supplies. Could you tell me where to get both of those please? They look like lifesavers! Also, I love your videos. Thank you!!
Hi! Yes they are from this Etsy shop! Etsy.com/shop/carpelink Sometimes he briefly closes his shop though to catch up on orders because he gets a lot of them!
Just a question that went through my mind: where are you putting the baby? Are you planning on moving when he/she gets bigger or move the candle studio to an outside location? Any plans?
We changed up the apartment so it’s basically a studio + candle studio (bedroom) Baby won’t be In the candle room at all. The ultimate goal is to either get a house with an extra room/garage space for production or to find a small warehouse to move the studio into :)
You just have to find how much fragrance oil and how much wax you need for one candle, and then multiply those numbers by how many candles you want to make ☺️ Example: 10 grams of FO 200 grams of WAX If you want to make 5 candles: 10 x 5 = 50 grams of FO 200 x 5 = 1000 grams of wax
No worries! Ask away! I like to blend the FO into the wax at a minimum of 185 degrees Fahrenheit, that way the wax is able to completely bind with the fragrance!
Congrats on the pregnancy! I use soy 10 wax myself but I don't mix it with beeswax do you mind me asking what does that do for the candle mixing the two? and do you use a lot of it? Or is it just like 50/50
Good Afternoon dear Erika i have a question for the 13.5 cali jards can i use eco 2 or eco 1 or should i used cd 2 can you pls let me know how these jards can be fill with 9oz thanks many blessings
No just a quick hit with a heat gun and wipe down with a paper towel if the two scents are very different. If the scents are similar i usually don't even wipe it, there's never any cross contamination between scents because it's just a small amount of residue leftover!
Very nice video, nice to see you doing well. If you take time off I hope you let us know. I have so many samples from CS I hope I have some of the scents. I collect and then delay making. But you inspire to back on the horse and make candles. I have a question, could you at some point show how you do your filming. That would be a help. May be a photo. Please and thank you for your help. Be well and rest up for the little one.🌹 You look great, thanks for sharing.
I don’t worry about wet spots because most of the time they are purely cosmetic :) temperature changes can cause wet spots that are out of our control and can even happen during the shipping process. If you go into any candle store I guarantee you will see wet spots on those candles- customers don’t even notice it! I know I didn’t before I was a maker
That is so true due to the fact that before I started my journey making candles, I didn't care either so I may have to keep the glass vessel in mind. Thank again for all that you do - Awesome job and congrats on the new addition.@@MemoryBoxCandleCo
Hi there, thanks for the video . I am super new to candle making and this might be a stupid question but would love your advise. Let’s say I am making 12 ounce candles , should I buy containers that are 14 ounce so there is some space left for the wick and top cover/cap or should I go for a 12 ounce container itself ? What do you do?
Hi! Not a stupid question at all. So it depends on the vessel/jar. If you want to sell a candle as a 12 oz candle it needs to have a net weight of 12 oz. So whether that’s a 14 fl oz, 15 fl oz or 16 fl oz jar that can hold 12 oz of wax, it doesn’t matter :) all that matters is that net weight! But you’re correct that you will need to find a vessel that has a larger fl oz capacity so that it has enough room to fit the candle wax + room for the wick. Hope that makes sense!
I love all of your video tutorials! They're always super helpful & informative. 🩷😊 (You look fantastic, btw! Congrats again to you, hubby, & new baby!)
@@MsSecretabundanceI carried low with my first boy and high with my second boy. My placenta was in 2 different spots too, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it!
Hi erica, I have a issue. I do a ton of testing on my vessels that I want to use going forward for all candles, however, once I get the testing completed and want to start selling the manufacturer, will discontinue my vessel. Have you ran into this and what do you do in this situation? Is there a place I can order vessels just for myself that way I can ensure I never run out of stock?

When adding beeswax do you do this before or after pouring in the fragrance oil?
Question:

do you have a link for the measuring device for the level for pouring candle?

Hello Erica and baby. I love CS fragrances and Midwest. Most of my fragrances come from both…Good luck with your new line.
Thank you! ❤️
What are some places to order bulk containers for your candles?
Pls do you have a video on how you made the calculation for a bulk order
You just have to find how much fragrance oil and how much wax you need for one candle, and then multiply those numbers by how many candles you want to make ☺️
Example:
10 grams of FO
200 grams of WAX
If you want to make 5 candles:
10 x 5 = 50 grams of FO
200 x 5 = 1000 grams of wax
Are you blending the scents with wax around 179 degrees? Does it vary on the wax or scents that you are using? Sorry i have so many questions!
No worries!
Or is it just like 50/50
I’m thinking the same. I’m having soy wax and palm wax
the beeswax makes the meltpoint higher, and it's a super small percentage.
I poured my first candlescience candle. Can't wait to test it. Where did you get the little tool you place on the glass to level wax?
Nevermind. I see the link in another comment. Lol
