I'm about to ride this when for the first time when I go to Six Flags Over Texas for my 19th birthday, the last time I rode a real (as in, not the mine train) roller coaster was more than a decade ago and I think I'm finally ready to start getting into them.
The scariest part about this ride - there is no shoulder harness just the bar on your lap. I nearly lost it. The picture that they take of you on the ride is the only one i have ever bought. Sheer terror on my face. It was awesome.
Ragavers even Goliath and magic mountain, which is an exact replica, never has a line 😂 I've only stood in line once for it and that's when the park was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY busy. All lines were 1hr-2hrs long
Ragavers Goliath has a double helix, I've blacked out on that before. It's intense. But I didn't know this was taller. Goliaths drop is 255ft. How tall is this one?
Andrew Smith: how the heck you know the lady is black? how you even know its a female, can't tell you how many white women I've encountered who try to sound black, and there are many men who have high pitched voices, even you fir example, so let's try and not make this about race, its only about fun
Toi B. Let's be honest, many many Black Women sound like that. It's called a Pattern. When many Black women sound a certain way, you start thinking that person is Black. Like in the radio if they sound a certain way, and many people from that race sounds a certain way, you start assuming. It's not racist or think that. It's a pattern. Stop thinking everything is racist for once.
I grew up in Dallas and used to ride this and every other ride during the summers (season tickets...keeps your kids busy, not much to do in hot summers here) and it was a blast with my brothers. The Titan is my favorite roller coaster ever, and I have ridden many others around the nation. It's just the small things like holding you over the drop before you go slamming 80 mph into the ground that make it special for me (plus the nostalgia) The second half is super fun too, don't be deceived into thinking the drop is the best part. Unfortunately, I cannot ride any roller coasters anymore (I am 29 now) due to chronic vertigo. I will never be able to enjoy things like this anymore (heights were one of my biggest fears, roller coasters made me so scared and felt alive!). So, for me...enjoy these rides! Please!! Cheers
This is still the tallest coaster I’ve been on yet. I remember being so nervous about the drop, then about 1 second into the drop, I felt like I was in ecstasy, as if I was free falling. Can’t quite say I had that feeling on any other coaster I have been on.
Hi guys I literally just rode this coaster at six flags and it is amazing. The main thing you have to do is get past the main drop off and your good for the rest of the ride
The scariest part of the ride was that long ass low climb to the first... just kept making my heart beat faster and faster and when the drop came, I went crazy.... lol I don't think I'll ever go back on this ride in my life.
I was kind of forced to go on it once only because of my brother and his friend who was in the army, kept telling I should at least once. So I did I enjoyed it but I will never go back on it I’m skinny and I hate the feeling I will fall out of it. The only tall coaster I’d go on is the Texas giant 😂 but the titan? Fuck no. My brother tried to get me to go on it again this year but I said fuck no, and he tried to get me to go on the riddler and I said no cause i remember it going upside down, it was the swing back and fourth until it goes all the way around like upside down and shit.
I was terrified of this ride for my entire childhood until I finally rode it and ended up riding it 6 times that day lmfao, pure addictive adrenaline rush on that 1st drop
I love this ride! First time I went on was with my bff, she had to drag me off a pole and made us sit in front seat! But as soon as the drop started I was having the time of my life!
Went on the from of this.... absolutely the most fun i have ever had and before this ride... i was scared of roller coasters but once you get done with this ride, you will never be scared of roller coasters again. same on heights with the texas sky screamer
I've rode the titan about 50 times. There is 1 spot on the ride where everyone blacks out. Feels like someone has there foot on your head.Ive asked other people and they say the same thing. I like everything about this ride, except that. Going down the 1st hill is a blast!
My first time riding the Titan, I didn't know I was getting myself into the front seats. (I've never been to anything like Six Flags, so I was unfamiliar with what all the lines were for when I was waiting.) Honestly, before the drop, it feels like you're about to fall out of the seat. But then after, your head can't even move bcs of such fast speeds of wind in your face. It's very thrilling though! And it was definitely worth the wait! I couldn't even feel the whole ride towards the end. I recommend this ride who's afraid of heights like me, bcs it really makes you become a little fearless. :)
You hear how quiet it gets on those sideways turns? That's cuz everyone blacks out for a moment. Happens to me every time. I've ridin this ride more times than I can count. Every time 😂🤷🏼♀️🤤!! Highly recommended. 👍🏼👍🏼
So I was convinced by my friends to ride this, as I've never ridden a big coaster before. It was both terrifying and amazing- rode it 6 times yesterday. I'd highly recommend it.
Just watching this makes me feel like I'm dying. EDIT: I rode this today for the first time (it was also my first time on a bigger coaster). I was really scared at first, but it was so fun that I had to ride it again!! I grayed out a little on the second ride at the second spiral thing, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought at all!! My advice for anyone is to just GET ON and make sure you keep your head on the headrest no matter what (it can be kinda hard). Also, if you start to gray out, clench your butt and leg muscles. Make sure you aren’t dehydrated or you might get sick. This is a long comment but yeah! 😆
I rode this about a month ago for the first time. Great roller coaster. I was so freaking close to blacking out, and I stupidly leaned forward 'cause I thought we were going to hit the bars above. I got off with a sore back. Don't ride if you black out easily, or if you have back problems. At around 2:08 is when I almost blacked out.
My advice to you as a regular SFOT goer: don't go on weekends (sunday is okay, lines are medium, but only 30-45 mins max). Go on weekdays, especially monday or tuesday or thursday. Also, the few days after events such as "Holiday in the Park" or "Fright Fest" are also amazing days to go, along with the few days after most schools have started back.
People call this “forceless” or “not scary” but this coaster is AWESOME!!! Forceful, strong, and LEGIT!! Awesome coaster!! Especially as the one In Magic Mountain! 👏🏻
I honestly was scared of roller coasters before yesterday. Yesterday I went to six flags and got on all the rides! This one was great! We got to go two times in a row because there was no line yesterday. It was really fun. I recommend it! Along with the riddler ride
i don’t feel scared on roller coasters anymore, I just feel numb. But I had a headband on and that shit almost flew off like 5 times I was struggling to keep it on the whole time.
I just went on it today and it was totally awesome I went twice and on the cork screw parts I blacked out it was freaky!😜 I also went on the new Texas giant loved it even more!
I'm 6'8' and was wondering if I would be too tall to ride this. Some parts look like it would rip my head off, especially that tunnel part after the drop in the beginning! lol
I rode this a few times a few years ago, it really beats you up. My sister's hand was the only thing keeping me from violently smacking my head on the seat at that stop 😬
Oh good one, you sure showed me. How long did it take you to Google that one? Phew...how will I ever come up with a response to that? I'll just stay in silence knowing that's the best you could come up with. But seriously, quit being a pansy, roller coasters are some of the greatest mechanical creations on the planet. Go enjoy them, have a good day!
He's not a pansy some people just don't like roller coasters and being that this was their first one I wouldn't blame them. Although you're supposed to start with a coaster a little smaller than this to get yourself used to it he started with this so it's very understandable when he said this was his first and last coaster. I mean if his was my first coaster then I would think every coaster was like this so it makes sense why he would never go on another coaster again. Being traumatized doesn't make him a pansy, it makes you a pansy for bullying him because he doesn't like coasters.
They're both made by the same company (Giovanola). Plus, Six Flags is known for putting multiple installments of virtually the same ride in several parks. Look at the Batman the Ride and Superman: The Ultimate Flight clones for examples. Also, the name Goliath is used in like eight different Six Flags parks so they weren't too original at SFMM to begin with.
I'm going to Texas soon and I was wondering if there are any rides there that aren't as scary??? I have never been on a roller coaster but I love carnival rides!!! Some one please help me!! I would appreciate it so much!!!💖
I went to this on fright fest. I was shot 8 in my cat costume. My dad convinced me too go on it. so there I was. Standing in line- The drop made me scream as loud as the other screams- The picture was me passed out. My family laughed as I cried. 😂
This ride, is very intimidating, I'll be honest, but it's nothing as it seems. I honestly wasn't expecting the same result, as it didn't really didn't compare to the iron rattler in San Antonio. I blacked out numerous times also on this ride and it wasn't really that fun. Could of been steeper I'll say. It's an okay ride, but not the best
I've been on both and I was so scared on the Titan I liked it better than the iron rattler. I was getting more scared as we were going up at the very beginning because it seemed endless
+Annabell Quinones which drop is more gut wrenching? I went on the iron rattler yesterday and loved it, and I'm going to Dallas next month. what should I expect from this ride???
Scary part about this ride is the corners it hits at high speed because the pressure of the wind pushes your neck in nearly making u light headed if you're not positioned right
omg! this ride was so fun and when we turned some of the corners i like couldnt see anything it just went black but i was still awake i didnt black out but it was still SUPER fun !
omg this is my all time favorite ride, unless your a true thrill seeker i wouldnt take this one as your first ride ever, i made that mistake... what it looked small in the parking lot...its not
I rode this today with my daughter. The worst part is going up. As we were going up I heard my daughter say “omg” I opened my eyes and looked at her and she had a pure look of fear. I looked around and man we were so high off the ground. As we were about to descend she said “dad give me your hand” she grabbed my hand but little did she know I was thinking to myself “shit I wanna grab your hand to baby girl “😂 that drop was crazzzzyyyyyy. Maybe the best coaster I’ve ever ridden along with Mr. Freeze.
Rode this twice in one day, both times in front row, and both times I screamed on the first drop. The drop is 255 feet it lasts for 4 seconds straight and it is agonizing. Also, both times we rode, me and my brother got front row seats within minutes, because most people are way too afraid to touch this ride.
I rode the new Texas giant like 3 times before riding this for the first time. So I got a lot of confidence and when I got to the top to ride I sat in the middle and during the big drop and the rest of the ride I put up my hands
My favorite seating position is in the way back. Love being yanked over the drops and inversions of roller coasters (sadly, this one has no inversions but is still a nice ride)
Since I was super young we’ve taken a yearly trip to a new spot with great coasters. This is the only one I’ve “blacked out” on. It was more like gray but every one on the ride said the same and I was just glad I didn’t go completely out. 😂Wild experience, those G forces!
This ride made me blackout for at least 3 seconds yesterday. It was definitely scary, but the ride is still fun! I would definitely think twice before riding again.
I went for my friend’s 15th birthday over summer. It was just him, my best friend, and I. Both of them are daredevils that have seasons passes at Six Flags and always want to go on the biggest rides. I had only been to Six Flags once in my life before this ( when I was 9 ) and I only rode the Batman, which was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life back then. I have an extreme fear of rollercoasters and falling, but they decided to take me on this ride as my first ride of the day. My best friend and I sat in the front car, and my friend who was celebrating their birthday was directly behind me. I was paranoid the whole way up that I was going to fall out of the roller coaster car because I am very skinny and the only thing that was keeping me in felt very loose. Other than that, I was fine on the way up until we reached the very top and I completely lost it. We finally dropped and I had absolutely no filter after that. I was cussing like a sailor and I wanted to cry, but the wind would not allow me to. The drop is the worst part because it feels like you are dropping forever. After that, it isn’t pleasant but it is not horrible. The breaks at that one part were pretty bad. There is a super strong G force at some parts of the ride. My best friend passed out twice during those parts and I unfortunately did not. When you get off the ride, your legs will feel like Jell- O so be sure to hold onto the rail when exiting. I got a massive adrenaline rush after this ride and decided to go on all of the other larger rides that day. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience for me, but definitely great for people who like a good adrenaline rush.
When I rode this ride it was so much fun and it wasn’t like you were waiting in a long kind just for a quick ride it was really long so you really got to enjoy it and it looks so much more scarier then it is
when I rode this I felt like my head was finna hit every pole
Wow I just went today and I did the same thing. I had my head tucked down xD the blue poles were scary haha
Brion Stringfellow I'm going here tomorrow for a school trip
I'm going 1st time
Jane Nwokoro I'm going sometime this week
I've been on it more than 20 times
i rode this on my 12th birth day the only scary part was going up to the the drop and relising that there is no going back
I'm about to ride this when for the first time when I go to Six Flags Over Texas for my 19th birthday, the last time I rode a real (as in, not the mine train) roller coaster was more than a decade ago and I think I'm finally ready to start getting into them.
😂😂😂😂
I rode this for my 10th Birthday
I’d be anything except brave
Haha I was not scared on my first time (the only scary thing is if your in the back you can have a black out)
The scariest part about this ride - there is no shoulder harness just the bar on your lap. I nearly lost it. The picture that they take of you on the ride is the only one i have ever bought. Sheer terror on my face. It was awesome.
Angel Ofmusic There’s not even inversions. And even if there were inversions it doesn’t need an over the shoulder restraint.
N Singer GP am I right. 😂
JK
Exactly right. I'm 6 '3" and so much of body felt unsafe. It was terrifying
When u got a sh*tload of back pain (sorry kids for the cursing) u gonna wanna pass on this kinda ride lmao. But yeah imma sit this one out ✌
because it doesn’t go upside down. lap bar makes you feel more open to make it "scary".
Me and my friends rid this coaster this week, it was fun, but the worst part is when your climbing the hill... word of advice... don't look down.
YES!!
Sorry I looked down
I did in 2009. I saw our bus parkes in the parking lot then next thing I knew we went forward
Yeah Iooked down
Lil Lesby please give me advice I wanna ride this but I am scared
The best part about this ride is that people are scared to ride it because of the drop so the lines are super short :) I love that ride.
Aliyah Moore no its because no one can find it
Ragavers even Goliath and magic mountain, which is an exact replica, never has a line 😂 I've only stood in line once for it and that's when the park was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY busy. All lines were 1hr-2hrs long
kailee ellis titan has a helix before the mcbr and its taller
Ragavers Goliath has a double helix, I've blacked out on that before. It's intense. But I didn't know this was taller. Goliaths drop is 255ft. How tall is this one?

Venialias tbh its not even that bad
Venialias For me it’s a defiantly yescoaster!! I’ve always wanted to ride it : )
It’s so fun
Waited 1 hour for Texas Giant the other day,. then I went over to Titan and walked right into the station and got on in five minutes LOL
TheLennyLegoShow So what. I got in after waiting in line for 4:59.
simon parker Oh yeah? Well one time I got on in 4:55, how do ya like THAT?! lol
Ha
Each time I went on the Titan the lines were so short and every time the ride broke down and people left the line lol
Lol it cuz no one wanna ride it
I didn't even know there was a tunnel! I closed my eyes when I rode it! And I didn't open them until the middle of the ride, then I closed them again.
I grew up in Dallas and used to ride this and every other ride during the summers (season tickets...keeps your kids busy, not much to do in hot summers here) and it was a blast with my brothers. When I went this ride, it was raining and the rain was smacking me in the face. By the time this ride was over, my face was all red xD

I've watched several videos of this particular ride, and I have mad anxiety thinking about going on it.
This ride copies Goliath at six flags magic mountain
They're both made by the same company (Giovanola). Plus, Six Flags is known for putting multiple installments of virtually the same ride in several parks. Look at the Batman the Ride and Superman: The Ultimate Flight clones for examples. Also, the name Goliath is used in like eight different Six Flags parks so they weren't too original at SFMM to begin with.
also this six flags was made first
Six flags has a lot of similar rides at different parks. They didn't copy it. Plus six flags over Texas is the original six flags
Lol, this made me fall out of my chair
One slight difference. Goliath actually has no first helix, it banks left into the brake run. Other than that they're the same.
Moving from California to Texas. So glad to see this ride.
I'm going to Texas soon and I was wondering if there are any rides there that aren't as scary??? I have never been on a roller coaster but I love carnival rides!!! Some one please help me!! I would appreciate it so much!!!💖
Caro Ortiz Hey! Never been, don't know for sure, but I recommend checking up on the official six flags website if they have one? Have a nice trip!
Jaelyn Lende Thanks!!!💖
If you want a thrill ride that's not as scary, I'd recommend Pandamonium at Six Flags over Texas
Caro Ortiz ride the superman you will be set for life it has a 34 story drop
Sry it’s a year late but the Batman
Rode this today. Absolutely insane! Loved it.
I went to this on fright fest. I was shot 8 in my cat costume. My dad convinced me too go on it. so there I was. Standing in line- The drop made me scream as loud as the other screams- The picture was me passed out. My family laughed as I cried. 😂
Cat costume? How do you have a dad
Ah man I can feel it…… this coaster is soooo fun gets my adrenaline going just watching this lol them turns put you in your seat hard
“Oh lawd” LMAOOO
Rode this today had my hands up the entire time best ride in the park:)
I am honestly a huge roller coaster fan but this never again !
Sandra Eastwood scary ass
Why not?
I rode this 2 times today at the very front seats, worth the wait!!!!
I love these intense rides
That drop though 🙌🏾
This ride made me haaaate roller coasters, I was so scared I called for my mom, and prayed right before that drop.😂😂😂🤣
I was on that yesterday
Scary part about this ride is the corners it hits at high speed because the pressure of the wind pushes your neck in nearly making u light headed if you're not positioned right
This looks exactly like goliath from six flags magic mountain
Ali Al with an additional Helix
Ali Al Yeah, Goliath was made first, but Titan is 10 feet taller, with the upper helix before the mid break into the second lower helix.
omg! this ride was so fun and when we turned some of the corners i like couldnt see anything it just went black but i was still awake i didnt black out but it was still SUPER fun !
I never took it and I REALLY want to :(
omg this is my all time favorite ride, unless your a true thrill seeker i wouldnt take this one as your first ride ever, i made that mistake... what it looked small in the parking lot...its not
jaylin flanigan this was my first roller coaster i ever went on
I rode this today with my daughter. Freeze.
How is this compared to the Mr Freeze in scare factor? I could ride Mr Freeze i'll day, but this seems a bit scarier because of the drop
If you can do Freeze, you can definitely do Titan.
+austing2014 ion know the Mr Freeze was only 45 sec long
+Kimberly Coit yup, they're both awesome rides
If you can ride Mr. Freeze, you can ride the Titan. If you can ride the Texas Giant, you can ride the Titan.
The Titan just shakes u up more
the best parts are when you are being pulled to the top of the big drop, then the drop. I live for that. Britt-Marie
Is.this ride too scary for a 10 year old?
I'm 13 and after all those rides,no I wasn't scared at all lol
No. I rode it when I was 9 and it was fun.
i rode it when i was 9 lol buh it not scary it fun
babby alma ok, thanks!
thank you EVERYONE!!!
An icon of slow climbs. That was the worst part but looking out over the track as it takes forever to get to the top is so sick.
Honestly The six flags in Texas is like the most popular one. I went there and all the rides were amazing
My favorite coaster! Friend of mine and I back in HS went and rode this 5x each time in the very front . I want to go back so bad! Been so long 😭😭😭
any advice on how not to die ? I’m going in two weeks and I’m pretty scared of heights
I loved this ride! at first, had second thoughts about it when I first rode it.. Of course I was already on the ride.. In the end I loved it.
Since I was super young we’ve taken a yearly trip to a new spot with great coasters. This is the only one I’ve “blacked out” on. It was more like gray but every one on the ride said the same and I was just glad I didn’t go completely out. 😂Wild experience, those G forces!
I rode this but had my eyes closed... best ride ever!!!!
I can never catch my breath after the first drop, never. It's the best
rode my first ever roller coaster yesterday, it was this one... it was awesome.
When I rode this ride it was so much fun and it wasn’t like you were waiting in a long kind just for a quick ride it was really long so you really got to enjoy it and it looks so much more scarier then it is
Its 3am and somehow I ended up here. This was my first rollercoaster and I never went back 💀
