    My first batch in the Jar has reached this milestone! I did 15 cuttings from 3 different plants.. I ended up with 9 Rooted Starts from my 15! ...I have them potted up and in the Greenhouse, but will bring them into a a less Humid environment under Lights. I had already started another 15 in my second jar on Dec 13, and yesterday I started my 3rd Jar.
    I was impressed with how long the roots are with my Iceberg cuttings! Chicago Peace was my failures so far!
    Thank you for Sharing this...it is all so exciting!

    Love your Videos! I have never been successful with my rose propagation until I watched your past video about rose propagation! I have roots!!!! Even in cooler weather! The tip that finally was my “Ah-ha” moment was to stop misting the leaves after I had their dome on. I mist the dome initially... not the plant... and then left it alone. Literally did not touch it. My problem was rot and now I use a well draining medium and never mist after that first dome misting. No more rot!!!!! Thanks so much for your diligence and for sharing your journey with us ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Thanks for this video, I'm learning a lot. I have been growing annual and perennial seeds on my growing light station with huge sucess. Next year I will try propagation of lavender and roses for the first time. I never use heat mat, still get sucess on my seeds. Like the idea of clear cups to see the roots; label the 21-day mark; How many hours you leave the light on? I talk to my seedlings too, they need that love. Thanks again!!

    I believe the problem is in artificial light. I have 9 out of 10 success rate in rooting softwood cuttings just having them on my window sill.

    Hi Kim, Can we store the extra diluted Bonide fish fertilizer solution after watering the rooted potted rose cuttings? Or we should discard it and make fresh while watering?

    Hi Kim, I use 20% peat moss, 80% perlite to make the propagation mix. I checked the ingredients of PromixBX and it says it has mycorrhizae. I have Great White mycorrhizae root booster powder. Should I mix a little bit of this in my propagation mix?

  • @sarmishthabanerjee1057

    Hi Kim, I have been watering( about quarter cup) the rooted potted roses once a week with Bonide fish fertilizer. They are in 1 gallon pots. For last few days I noticed that the leaves are having some whitish patches. Should I stop fertilizing and just water with plain tap water? Or should I mix a little bit liquid Humic acid with the water and water them once a week.

    Hi Kim, I have kept my air rooted roses and the roses propagated from cuttings indoor under grow lights. They are all in 1 gallon pots now. They are all about 5/6 months old. Some are still 4/5 inches tall and air rooted ones are about 1 foot tall.I am watering once a week. I just wanted to ask you when you water your indoor potted roses once a week, do you saturate the soil with water until water drips from the bottom of the pot? Please advice.

    • @TheRoseGeek
      @TheRoseGeek  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, good question. A friend of mine who sells bands said that the best way to water them is to let them sit in a pan of water and drink from the bottom vs pouring from the top. She says that bands often drown if they have too much water saturation. I am so glad that you have had success Sarmishtha!
