    I’ve seen people complaining about wind noise and I think people are forgetting you are riding your bike and trying to talk at the same time. No easy task. Adds to the realism of what is actually going on. Good job 👍🏻

    Thanks first of all for the shoutout! (jeeze, I'm goofy).
    Not the most attractive of windscreens, but then, most windscreens are not. Wonder if it was in clear if I'd like the look any better.
    Regardless, is this the shield/bike for Indy? Or V-Rod with the mini screen?
    Side thought....I see alot of that puffy/fluttering in your chest that you mentioned. That air is coming up by the forks, around the tank and into you. You can test that (if you haven't already) by putting your hand across your chest, and you'll see an immediate reduction in air flow. I think sometimes that air moving up into the helmet contributes to the head shake (IMO)

    • @ChopperFett
      @ChopperFett  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I havent even tested the vrod with the screen yet... I guess if I'm trying to make a decision, I should make it a fair fight haha.

    Great vid as usual! I feel your pain when it comes to windshields. I found the Adv bikes are now on a winner how the have a lip on them more so to deflect the wind up more that extra bit. and sold plenty of those attachable deflectors to do that.

    • @ChopperFett

    I'm not ready for a windshield just yet but if I ended up in a situation where I was logging a lot of MDU* miles I'd have to consider, for my neck's sake. *Mileage Disposal Unit, aka highway/interstate according to the late, great Neil Peart. Nice review man!

    I own two shields. The Del Rio and the Del Ray. I need to put the other one on to see if i like it more then the Del Ray.

    • @ChopperFett
      @ChopperFett  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea Memphis makes it easy to try out a lot of stuff as long as your pockets are deep enough haha.

  • @RoadReality
    @RoadReality 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Memphis Shades makes some good stuff! I have a 6.5" recurve on my Street Glide... with an 8.5" one on order ... stupid delays :(
    The 6.5" one is way better than the stocker [which I think was 4" tall], but I want to get rid of some more buffeting, so that's why I'm going for the 8.5"
    I had Memphis Shades on my Bobber too... but it was more of a riot shield, and not quick-release.

    • @ChopperFett
      @ChopperFett  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea it seems like whatever Memphis Shades says is the ideal height, you should add 2" lol. Hope it works out for you man!

    old video, I know. However, I noticed that your windshield appears to be tilted all the way back. Set it a little more upright, and I'll bet the issue is solved.
    I'm 6'3', and use the Del Rio without issue.

      Thanks for the tip Dean. I didn’t mess too much with it as I really like the positioning on my cafe fairing and didn’t want to disrupt it, but I’ll def give this a try. Thanks!!!

    I had a National Cycle windshield for a bit it bolted to the handlebars on the sporty. It was ok but I didn’t like the look of it. I switched to a Harley windshield I bought used and replaced the plexiglass with one from Memphis shades. Currently on the Dyna I found a stock windshield. For Now!

  • @theoldmanflynchmotovlog4846
    @theoldmanflynchmotovlog4846 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I see a lot of people add those little spoiler wind deflectors to the top of windshields, most likely to fix buffeting issues.
    I see a lot of Street Glide guys try to fix buffeting issues by adding side and fork deflectors but it's always a taller windshield that fixes the issue.
    I ride a 85 plus speeds on the interstate and while the measurements say I can get by with a 8 inch windshield, I always go with 10 because I know it will prevent these issues with my Batwing.

    • @ChopperFett
      @ChopperFett  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I feel like when they say measure the height to your nose, they mean to do that and then add two inches hahaha.
