So weird thinking of Grey as an actual person. I listen to both the podcasts but for some reason in my head he's still just a stick figure talking to normal person caveman Brady. Seeing him walking was like "wait was that a spoiler? The fact hat he has a body can't be a spoiler but it feels like a spoiler."
"I've taken a look at the show notes, I've loaded them up in my head." For anyone who was still doubting it, here is irrefutable proof that Grey is a robot. Explains why he was so sad at the sight of all those androids just standing there at google.
In Part 2, there is a moment when there is a camera faces his face with the screen facing our way, so I think “Yes! Bet he didn’t think of this!” But no. He did. It was blurred.
Nah, it's legit. It's an old photo though. New photos can be found from his face reveal at the event he did with Smarter every day (random acts of intelligence)

“You know how to take a reservation, you just don’t know how to HOLD a reservation. And that’s really the important part, the holding. Anyone can just take them!!”
I adore this. As amusing as it can be to think of you as a robot, it brings me a great amount of joy to see reminders that you're actually a pretty ordinary human, and this vlog is full of them. Trying to resist carbs, trying not to gain weight, trying to get enough exercise, making _Terminator_ jokes, playing with a dog, running on coffee, suffering from jet lag, getting exhausted, taping a GoPro to a bike so you can film it, griping about crowds and noise, dealing with hotel staff… I love it! I somehow doubt you'll make this a yearly venture, but I would love it if you did!

I loved the fact that at the end of the video, when your mood is down and your voice is sad, the image becomes desaturated - and as soon as you live LA, with hope of a better future, the image become saturated again (19:35). Really nice touch.

John Black If its a TV at a gym, likely no remote, and they probably disable some or all of the buttons or like that TV, had no buttons at all. So power cord it is.
8:38 Criticizes Americans for having too many screens *Has smart watch, smart phone, tablet, laptop, camera, etc... Also, he unplugs the TV rather than using the off switch on the bottom or side? Tired CGP Grey is tired
Unplugging things means that they STAY off. Turning something off means that soon someone else will come in and turn it on. Unplugging it means that it will stay off, because very few people who try and turn on the tv will see that it is plugged in, rather, they'll think that the tv is busted.
Firstly: He is an American himself. Secondly: He can decide about how and when he uses his own screens. He is talking about all the screens that are (not literally) thrust at him. And, yes, they are everywhere in the US.
I'd put 45% odds, on any given screen like that, that there is no power off function. They're made to be controlled entirely by the establishment - they don't want people turning them off - so the only way to be rid of them is to unplug them at the wall. 1 in 10 or so don't have an accessible plug and you just have to put up with them. They're *awful*.
I totally empathise with your reaction to VidCon. I honestly feel like it must be utterly unbearable to be somewhere like that. As someone who enjoys peace and solitude, the idea of all those people and all that noise is very unsettling.
You know, most TH-camrs I watch strike me as fairly extroverted. I find myself wishing I could be more like them. Never have I watched a vlog where I felt like I could've very well been the person filming producing the video. Thank you for your perspective.
He specifically said that that trip was only a few days, which is why he had the whole plan of the London time sleep schedule in Vegas. This seems to be a longer trip.
This is so hypnotizing... I admire (?) people who are able to live like this; the moment I have a cord on me of some kind while I'm outside I freak out. I need to experience everything only with my own senses and nothing else. Music-listening is the only exception at times. Many words that were never truer have been spoken during this video. Congratulations for your achievements! These vlogs have something truly special to them.
My "eating mistakes" are code for "not getting enough to eat and then feeling crappy all day, so I go home and eat a big meal and feel disgusting afterwards and want to go to bed, and then feel even worse at 2:00 in the morning when I wake up, go back to bed at 5:30, and miss four hours of school because I promised I'd get up on my own." This, of course, is the kind of thing that makes me hate myself, which leads to more staying in bed, less eating, and no energy whatsoever. Teenaged brains suck.
Gray is so used to London infrastructure that even though almost all of Americas showers heat up almost instantaneously he still turns it on one minute before
I grew up in North Carolina for 18 years, then went to live in the center of some downtown areas for undergrad and grad studies (the biggest being Miami) before finally moving back to NC and man, as an introvert, it's so good to return to somewhere quiet and peaceful. Something about the sound of cicadas in the summer.
@@Andrew-gu8uw he brought it just incase he needed to use it, not having to unpack it on the last day of that hotel was a good thing because he would have to repack it again
I am overcome with a wave of love for you when I watch your vlogs, or listen to Hello Internet. I admire you a lot, and I just love your sense of humor. Great as always, and cheers me up a lot.
I did the keto diet. I lost 30 lb.s in 3 months with most of it in the last 3 -- it takes 4-8 weeks to kick the sugar/carbs cravings and your portion control to improve; you simply aren't as hungry and automatically get full sooner. A year later and I still don't crave sweets and if I do eat too many carbs in one sitting I don't feel well the next day. I was diagnosed per-diabetinc and by the and of the 4th month, there were no signs of it. Normal blood chem other than elevated ketones. Bike riding (or any light-aerobic activity) is key: you have to create metabolic demand for your body to break down stored fats. You don't have to exercise hard, just keep heart rate elevated for 30+ minutes once a day.
The only reason you're selling CGP Grey Merch is so that so many people will have them that we won't be able single you out!!

As someone who enjoys peace and solitude, the idea of all those people and all that noise is very unsettling.
introversion. woo
VidCon is terrible anyway, the shit they did to Tana was super unfair. I'll never go to that place.
@Alex Crawford
"Feels like Terminator" *music kicks in* I totally lost it at that part 🤣
Didn't Miles Dyson work at that one building?
;)
You know, most TH-camrs I watch strike me as fairly extroverted. I find myself wishing I could be more like them. Never have I watched a vlog where I felt like I could've very well been the person filming producing the video. Thank you for your perspective.
“instagram world feels like it's built out of sad metaphores for life.” Along with the silent people taking selfies and being aloof made me choke
Cgp grey, podcaster who occasionally does vlogging, and sometimes, very rarely, makes science videos
And Let's Player
>CGP Grey
>can present highly developed arguments surrounding all number of topics
>can't work out how to make a diet plan to help himsely lose weight
>Doesn't eat carbs
>Complains about not having energy
Making the plan and getting our monkey brains to follow it during stressful times are two separate things. :D
Wait, did Grey travel to the city that WWDC was being held in and then proceed to watch the show online? Wat?
don't question the grey, just watch and buy the hoodie
but where is part 2??
Sam Shelton I think it's the Las Vegas Vlog he uploaded a few months ago
Expect it at the end of the summer, if current upload patterns hold true
He specifically said that that trip was only a few days, which is why he had the whole plan of the London time sleep schedule in Vegas. This seems to be a longer trip.
It's infuriating when people ask questions in comments about things that are answered in the video.
Shannie, Not everyone understands computer coding
This is so hypnotizing... I admire (?) people who are able to live like this; the moment I have a cord on me of some kind while I'm outside I freak out. I need to experience everything only with my own senses and nothing else. Music-listening is the only exception at times.
Many words that were never truer have been spoken during this video.
Congratulations for your achievements!
These vlogs have something truly special to them.
I just want to say that that is a wonderful dog.
I just love how Grey's vlogs are very , not self-centered!
8:24 This is how the forbidden love for another man’s tesla begun.
Using the "Death of Siegfried" as the music for Vidcon was really fantastic.
Gray is so used to London infrastructure that even though almost all of Americas showers heat up almost instantaneously he still turns it on one minute before
The first shot of San Jose is of it burning. Pretty accurate, honestly
I was rather
*F I R M*
I grew up in North Carolina for 18 years, then went to live in the center of some downtown areas for undergrad and grad studies (the biggest being Miami) before finally moving back to NC and man, as an introvert, it's so good to return to somewhere quiet and peaceful. Something about the sound of cicadas in the summer.
Two uploads in two weeks? Have we been blessed!!??!?!
Ikr! fuck yeah!
"I have a lot of audio equipment in my room, right now, that I really didn't want to unbox."
Then why the hell did you _bring_ it?
You never know.
Past Grey overestimated the willpower of future Grey
he bought it, got it shipped to America and he doesn’t want to unpack i
basically he didn’t bring it
@@Andrew-gu8uw he brought it just incase he needed to use it, not having to unpack it on the last day of that hotel was a good thing because he would have to repack it again
Turns out he needed to use it in Moab, Utah, which is where he went during Part 2.
I am overcome with a wave of love for you when I watch your vlogs, or listen to Hello Internet. I admire you a lot, and I just love your sense of humor. Great as always, and cheers me up a lot.
Never been this early to a CGP Grey video. Just wanted to say I love your content. You have one of the best channels on TH-cam! :)

Grey : * Goes to a super crowded expo*
Grey : welp that's all my social limits fulfilled for the next three days
CGP Grey, defying all expectations once again.

Right as that list ding happened, my toaster oven went off. The synchronization was beautiful.
Congratulations on being less fat at the end of your trip than at the beginning, it is truly a feat of strength and will.
D' Otter yes, truly amazing. But as the scales clearly showed he could have and should have eaten the cookie like a cookie monster!
Problem is that cookies are a gateway to more cookies.
Haiku Metzger exactly!
