Marcaroni and as you saw that damage trade off might have something to do with insane movement that might be better at avoiding a single nair and jab it also puts her in a position to have those carries more often I’ll give you the kill options but I’m not sure if her doing a lot of low damage isn’t her character type
Problem with Sheik for me is that her movement isn't even that much better than many of the characters in the game, and her damage output is some of the lowest among the cast on top of that. It doesn't justify her weak damage in a game whose meta revolves around high pressure and explosive bursts of aggression. Take a character like Fox. He is comparatively similar in terms of attributes (fast ground speed, low air acceleration, high fall speed, lightweight, fast frame data), but his damage output is absolutely nuts, especially compared to Sheik. He can consistently do 30-60% BnB strings and has lots of consistent kill options. Sheik can do great things with her tools, but there's little reason to go for her when Ultimate has no shortage of mobile, high pressure rush down characters.

Bascially you buffer your needle input right at the start of your jump. Otherwise you can't BF in time. This timing aspect was in Smash 4 too.

They either forget to pick their custom controls, the skin the wanted, or the right character. It can also be to check the game mechanics aren't modified or just while waiting for a go signal
Shiek has kinda destroyed this matchup since smash 4. Even with nerfs, her strengths still outweigh her negatives. For wii fit, bad frame data, particularly cool down on all her tilts and smash attacks and projectiles, as well as a tall body and ability to get a little bullied off stage are not made up by her/his ability to kill as well as powerful offstage game that is rarely relevant with such a good recovery as shieks. Still a better matchup than rob tho lolllol
I know sheik does no damage but her combos do put you into and edge guard situation which she excels at so you're gonna be eating a lot of damage anyway just trying to recover or even die for it so it balances itself out P.S I love VoiD's freestyle combos and I'm so happy he's playing sheik again😁
