My uncle was a Phil Scout, he surrendered in Corregidor. He survived the war and joined the US Army, my other uncle Marciano was USAFFE, surrendered in Bataan, later died in Camp O'Donnell, Capas Tarlac. My Mother never let us forget the heroism and sacrifices of the American and Filipino soldiers. In the 1960's, as a kid, April 9 was a solemn day, the adults, including my parents survived the war and made our lives a little bit better. Salamat Nanay at Tatay and to all your generation. Mabuhay Ang Pilipinas at Amerika!
We used to play around this islands together with some kids..at Battery Light house..and at the ruins of hospital..we are 6 siblings..four of us was born in this place. This place is a remnants of war but as for me this is our paradise, our playground. My Papa serve the Philippine Army, a soldier..and - proud to say.. WE LIVE HERE.!! 💞 🍀
I've been there multiple times as my dad works in Department of Tourism. It's libre lang ata since dun sya nagwowork so pag need nya pumunta jan for work sinasama nya ako. I remember that Tunnel wholeheartedly. Meron pang sound effects jan noon. Like 1999 or 2002 ata yon.
Yun nga po ang Sabi before may lights and sounds show kaya mas nageenjoy noon mga tourists. Sana muling ibalik yun in the future para mas kakaiba lung level ng enjoyment. Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@MOTURISTA11 korek po. Meron pang effects jan nung pinapasabugan ung tunnel. Dun mapapanuod. Ipeplay nila un. I'm 29 now pero fresh parin sakin haha nakakamiss
I've used to stay there in the chapel next to malinta tunnel 46 yrs ago with my older brother bcoz he have been hired there when he was seventeen as a security guard that time the malinta tunnel is still closed in the other end and the room which is for the prisoner or office is still not yet cemented on ground and the walls too
