    Maria, I'm so glad you made these videos. Wonderful memories! The female birth lives and flies all around outside between my neighbor's trees and our yard trees. She still comes back to eat and to say hello to people coming to visit us or at my neighbors. Everybody really likes her. She spends all day and night outside, and she seems to be contempt around us.

    We have a little one, too. I'm getting the baby food, meal worms and crickets in the morning. I put a heating pad on low under his cage padding. I'm praying a lot. He has half baby and half adult fathers. I can't wait for hungry peeps!😊❤

    Amazing and beautiful birds. I have two bluejays visiting my backyard. I feed them peanuts. They are smart little creatures. They have been coming to my backyard for over 5 years. Unfortunately, two of their chicks did not survive when they nested in a bougainville near my kitchen. I saw them many times but too many cats around and these chicks were feeding from the ground too much. Hence, this is why I have scared the cats that frequent my bird feeder by wetting with them with a hose so that they do not come back. It worked. But sometimes I fear the worse because these jays sometimes visit after two weeks. They already know when to come to my backyard on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

    It looks like you have done a great job raising these babies. However, I have heard you ARE NOT supposed to hand feed them water as they can aspirate and cause them to get pneumonia. They will get the water they need from the moistened foods. 😊

    • @instamaticabstract

      Check her previous videos, she gives her recipe. I raised a scrub jay on dog food ground into a powder, baby bird formula from the pet store, boiled egg yolk, applesauce, with water added to make an oatmeal consistency paste. I added a smashed skinless blueberry on occasion. Later she would eat mealy worms. Google your bird's diet, or how to raise that species. Chances are someone else has already done it and shared the info online. :) Hope that helps.

    • @instamaticabstract
      @instamaticabstract 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just don't give them water in a dropper because the water can get in their lungs and cause pneumonia, they will get enough moisture from the food mixture.

      It's illegal everywhere to entrap a wild animal. You are supposed to have a license to even rehabilitate these guys. Wild animals never make good pets. Please people trust me.

      Now why did you say that? I didn't say anything about you! I wasn't being inflammatory either! I should have known that you are a f-ckwit by looking at your stupid question. You should stay in the kiddie section where you belong if you can't handle grown-up things, like adult humor and such! Now be a good little boy and go play with the other little kids.
      Lmao @ you 😂🤣🤪😜

    Uuuuugh the shriek. I have 2 baby ones near me too. I have bird feeders with the good nuts and seeds. And Bane had ba'bies (shut up, I know how I spelled it)
    I thought there was one until later nope. Dear God when will they fully grow up and have the blue jay caw. In the beginning I thought that was annoying, the babies are even worse.
    I will wake to the mom (I'm assuming) right at my head because My bed lays right at my window. And she's actually nice. She will make a weird clicking gurgle sound then do like a low one not song to wake me up. And I would peek and see on of the ba'bies not too far from her just shriek. And her eyes are like " listen, can you please. Just PLEASE. Help me out here?
