Great video, thanks for the review. We actually have a promo set of card in production right now that add one more round to the game. The promo cards will be available during PaxU!
That's some good art! I could see a snowy version being great. But the gameplay reminds me a lot of 2016's Honshū as well.. but faster? Not much going on. I'm honestly very curious on how well do these smaller games actually do.
I really love you guys and I have been followed you for a while now, so please allow me what I think might be a constructive criticism. Did you ever consider changing or occasionally switching the tabletop cover you're currently using? Because on close up, especially in games like this one where there's very few components, the gray hairy rug doesn't look very good, all little dirt in it gets magnified and it feels like you're playing on a carpet on the floor. :) It's just that everything else in your presentation is so amazingly professional and well-designed, so that detail stands out even more to me. :)
Hello! Love your videos. Based on the way you scored the other objectives, the +x,+x... ones scored per square within their grouping - such as +1,+1... scoring 1 for each unique square type adjacent to each village. So, should Monique not have scored 3 per square of forest in each grouping of 2 or more, rather than for each grouping?
Thanks for the playthrough! Do you know if this version with the solo mode will be available in Europe or at least the PnP? All I could find on their website was the old PnP version (2 player only). Thank you!
Please do more reviews! I value your opinion and miss them with all the kickstarter previews. Understandable that they bring the salary but you are loosing me as a viewer now that you have changed and don’t having an opinion often. Your channel is called before you play, not watch it played, let that go to Rodney. I hope you get back to your meat and potatoes. 🙏🙏🙏❤
It has to be a delicate balance for us. We love making videos but it also has to be viable long term. Our "Let's Talk Board Game" segment allows us to review games without the massive undertaking that filming a full playthrough can be. Plus in the summer hot months, daytime filming is rough due to the heat, so it compresses our filming window to the cooler times of day. If Monique were to go back to work again, we unfortunately would have to stop the channel.
@@BeforeYouPlay thanks for replying. You guys are the best. And I really value your judgement for mid weight beige euros. You guys cornered that market with all your designer series. I hope you never loose that vibe. Cheers from Florida.
I missed videos like this with quicker games. Keep them coming please 🙏 Love the art of the game.
😃
Such a tight game :). I'd love to see this one on BGA. The decision to start a new scoring condition or build out your land is a fun choice
Whenever you do a tiny-box game the thumbnail tricks me
Haha!!
Very cute looking game! And super easy to pick up and play. Thank you for sharing this one with us.
Thanks for watching!
Reminds me of Circle the wagons!
I like the simpler scoring to be honest.
You weren't kidding about this being a tiny box. I enjoyed Nimalia based on you guys' recommendation and this seems to be in the same vein. Sweet!
So glad you enjoyed it! :-)
I watch your videos when I want to feel relaxed.
On a side note, this game reminds me of Kingdomino Origins.
Thank you!!
Great video
Such a cute game!! A perfect travel game I think.
🥰
This is a similar structure and game to a board game App called Square Valley. I like how these puzzly games play
Will have to look into that!

Yeah, the designer is also the artist too! Yeah definitely has the Honshu vibes, we really love that one.
I have this pnp game and played a lot, never know it's published!

It's cute and quick, seems fun to play with partners or family. Though, -10 is too harsh for me and kinda makes me confused. (of course, pun intended)

Neat little game, but with so few cards it's severely limited.
it's giving cascadia
10:25 wouldn’t that have scored 8? Two different forest next to rivers in that case, right?
Naveen has that take it or leave it face in the thumbnail
😑 - him
🙂👍
😊
Interesting! I'm pretty sure I've seen this as a PnP before.
Didn’t know it was a PnP before. Glad they were able to get it published!
seems to be way too hard to get more than 10 points from a scoring condition.
Yeah the margins for scoring are super thin!

Completely agree! I love hearing their opinions after a game like this.
