In this video, I reverse engineer a kids' book brand making over $170k Per Month in Revenue on Amazon KDP. During this brand review, you will realize that there is no reason you can't accomplish these same numbers pretty easily by working hard and reinvesting into more books that follow the blue ocean strategy.

Wow, this is pure Gold. Years ago it was all about non fiction (health, wealth, relationships), and make a Brand for each.
These children's book niche, altbough really heavy only during Q4, still does extremely well overall from an ROI perpspective. They are much cheaper to make compared to your avergae 30K-50K word book. Launching and Reviews will probably eat up all profits the first 3-6 months for each title (correct me if I'm wrong), but afterwards once the Brand is set, you're priniting money more than the US Federal Reserve lol
Great moves by these Brands, as they already secured the market before anyone so to speak, so even while competition floods in, they will remain at the top
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, much appreciated. Will look to start pushing in this niche as well

Amazon gives a lot of love to you if you're the first one to create a specific type of book. You will notice when other people come in and try and copy books doing well they get a very small piece of the pie and you can even get in trouble for making something too similar now. Brand + Blue ocean strategy in the kids market is a great idea :)

Can you talk to what is included in self publishing? Does that include printing cost also or is that just getting the written work done and where does the actual printing of the book happen?

Hi Becky. The 170k a month is revenue in just the .COM (US) market. Id bet if we included all the countries "Bill" is making a lot more. The platforms we use such as Amazon KDP have print on demand, meaning they print and ship your book each time it's ordered and they take about 60 percent of the sale.

I have a question. How do you make sure, your work doesn’t get copied when you send it over to fiverr to have someone work on it

Well there is three ways to think about it. 1) These people don't care they just want positive reviews and wouldn't risk their gig 2) They can sign a non compete 3) You submit the book for copyright protection.
If you ever had an issue it would be like 1 in a million situation.

I really love these informative videos. With the illustrations for younger kids - kids picture books, for 3- 5 years, which are usually 32 pages long, how do you get the illustrations into the book itself with the text in the correct positions and the illustrations? Would I need to hire an illustrator and then pay someone else to put my short story text on each page into a design software program or special size word document? I have written the story and I know roughly what illustrations I want on each page, but I have no idea how to do a layout for such a book, that is a different size to what I'm used to and a different genre - I currently specialise in non-fiction books for adults.

When it comes to the more imaginative kids' books that have really nice interiors, I just use the gig in my description from Fiverr because they have years of experience and do a way nicer job than I can. To create something similar to the brand in the video you could do it with Atticus of Vellum easily.

So is Bill O’Neill his real name or is it a pseudonym? I looked him up on Audible and the reviews aren’t that great, but if it makes money…

It's a pen name for sure. These books don't transfer that great to Audible, but in paperback form I think they're pretty good.
