I never knew you could preview the lots! I had so many hours in TS3 but only ever played Sunset Valley so I got to know all the houses over time anyways.

Just downloaded and fixed the sims 3. The repack came with mods preinstalled and loading screens are like 1 minutes max. THIS GAME IS Amazing. It feels like a sequel. I wish i knew how to change CAS and sim models though.

I noticed a random update for sims 3 on ea and it has made the game so much nicer to run and gives the option to also to be compatible with steam bought expansion packs

Sims 4 is my fave (I know I have horrible taste leave me alone) but the sims 3 will always have an extra special place in my heart because it's the one I grew up with 💕 this game basically helped raise me, it was the very first computer game I ever played and for a long time it was the only one. I'm so glad people haven't forgotten it all these years later

Sims 2 had the thing where you could make your own prints on the sims clothes (kind of like shirts in animal crossing) there was a bonus program you could download where you uploaded a design (that u drew in ms paint or something) and you could make prints on their shirts or pants etc. That combined with sims3 colorwheel would be so badass in a new game
My pupper sits on my lap when I play this and she's watches the screen like it's a tv show and I am convinced and concerned about the theory that she probably understands simlish as if it's a second language to her.. like is my dog a sims pet npc?
Sims 3 was released a few weeks before I turned 18. It was 2009. I had been playing it (sometimes a lot, sometimes on and off) until like 2021-22. Only then I got bored. But I still have my saves and mod folder. It shows how good this game was, sadly, very outdated now technically and culturally.

@TatyanaP-b7e mods are everything from game fixes to game improvements. You can find them all over. On Tumblr, on TH-cam in video descriptions and websites like mod the sims and the sims resources. NRAAS mods are the most popular game enhancement mods. Some mods might help with lag but I haven't found any that help me. But some people swear by NRAAS overwatch LD's Smoothness patch and Regul save cleaner

Ts 3 is soooo gooood. Playing it sine it came out, took a break for ts4 for about 4 years before i discovered that its bullcrap now went back to only playing ts3 for 2 years now Also: I found out when you play ts3 in online mode EA is constantly trying to spam your game with commercial for the sims 3 store in build and create a sim mode and that is what makes most games crash in this day and age so I now only play withmy wifi turned off. Sad but there apparently is no ither way to stop them from spamming your game since this is an automatic process Also when you are like me and have a lot of save files, this is what I do. I have like 5 different families in different save files. So I created a folder on my desktop. When you go into the save files of the sims 3/ea folder you can just drag and drop them in and off this folder how you like. So when I play with one family I put the other ones in the folder I created on my desktop so the game doesn't have to load all this crap when going into the menu.
I also discovered that some mods or clogged games can resolve in memory issues(?) I sometimes get 0×0000000000000014 could not be written as a popup and it wants me to close the game immediately without having the option to save. I figured it could be because of mods. Sometimes it's just when some sims do specific tasks mod related. They don't even have to be in my household. BUT Nraas maastercontroller is a life saver. I got this pop-up 2 days in a row now at the same in-game-time every day no matter what I did. So I figured it must have something to do with the other sims in my neighborhood. So I reset the whole town with nraas mastercontroller and everything worked out fine. I struggled with finding help on this so maybe my experience help someone else 👍

Combine the right features of TS2 and TS3 and you get what TS4 SHOULD have been, but instead it missed the mark. I daydream constantly about a game in the series that goes back to what made these games great.

Ts 3 is soooo gooood. Playing it sine it came out, took a break for ts4 for about 4 years before i discovered that its bullcrap now went back to only playing ts3 for 2 years now
Also: I found out when you play ts3 in online mode EA is constantly trying to spam your game with commercial for the sims 3 store in build and create a sim mode and that is what makes most games crash in this day and age so I now only play withmy wifi turned off. Sad but there apparently is no ither way to stop them from spamming your game since this is an automatic process
Also when you are like me and have a lot of save files, this is what I do. I have like 5 different families in different save files. So I created a folder on my desktop. When you go into the save files of the sims 3/ea folder you can just drag and drop them in and off this folder how you like. So when I play with one family I put the other ones in the folder I created on my desktop so the game doesn't have to load all this crap when going into the menu.

I also discovered that some mods or clogged games can resolve in memory issues(?) I sometimes get 0×0000000000000014 could not be written as a popup and it wants me to close the game immediately without having the option to save. I figured it could be because of mods. Sometimes it's just when some sims do specific tasks mod related. They don't even have to be in my household. BUT Nraas maastercontroller is a life saver. I got this pop-up 2 days in a row now at the same in-game-time every day no matter what I did. So I figured it must have something to do with the other sims in my neighborhood. So I reset the whole town with nraas mastercontroller and everything worked out fine. I struggled with finding help on this so maybe my experience help someone else 👍
