FYI to people watching this, you have to sync the 2 units together before you can switch to intercom mode. To do this, make sure neither unit is connected to a Bluetooth device. Press and hold the power button on one unit units it enters pairing mode, then press voume up on second unit. Then you can do the hold vol up/down to intercom. Hope this helps.

If they are both solid blue you should be able to talk to each other without pressing any buttons.
@@jmstarkey1929 That’s strange, because we can’t hear each other. Only when we have the aux cable attached to both units to each other
You must have a different version of the unit. The 2 units I purchased did not have an aux cable included in the box.
