    I'm female and I never did anything like this before. I watched your video after I called the car shop about changing the bulb, they said it would be $70.00 labor only to change one bulb and they said it would take 1 hour to do it. I had already bought the bulb so your video gave me the confidence I needed. You even showed what screwdriver to use and you went step by step. Thank you so very much, I changed it myself and I'm really proud of myself. It didn't take an hour, maybe 15 min, I could hug you. Thanks again.

    $110 to do this at Firestone and that was with a coupon! For a 20 min job, it's completely absurd! Thank you for this video!
    Saved this 49 year old single mom so much money

    This helped me so much!! $16 and a pinched finger is better than the $60 the dealer quoted me!!

    Great video Thank you just did mine this way took me about 20 minutes my first time doing both sides I would recommend spraying WD40 on the screws the driver side was the hardest one for me I don't know why others are saying to remove more than you have to yes this is way easier but a lot tighter lol Thank you again

    Always replace them in pairs. As one goes, so does the other one because it is working harder to compensate for two.

    Whoever the engineer was on the 2014 Traverse for headlight replacement has quickly climbed up on my list of enemies.....unless you take off the tire entirely (no pun intended) this job is a royal pain in the ass...err....forearm. Pulling back the plastic cover enough to get your arms up in there is a killer, especially in the cold. Fixed the passenger side about 2 months ago, and of course, like clockwork, the wife comes home last night and the driver side is out. Finally got it but man alive is my right forearm scraped to all hell - grr....thanks for the video though, this is exactly how I did it, well, with added pain and discomfort that is! haha

    Everyone of these videos showing low beam is actually the high beam bulb. It is covered. The low beam lamp is the outside lamp.

      My low beam was out so that is the one I replaced in the video. Thanks for watching! And btw, the low beam worked great when I was done!

      Twice I handed over $140.00 for this repair. Each side burned out one year apart. Yesterday the 2 year bulb went out and I said enough! And changed it myself. The auto parts store perpetuates the idea that one must take the car into an auto repair shop so they can remove the whole front end. My repair shop should have replaced BOTH bulbs since they had this much labor invested into this repair. They did not and therefore I was back again one year later. But....here is the kicker - the most difficult part of doing the bulb change myself was dealing with the stripped Torx screw head which indicated to me that they had done the 15 min repair in the very same way as your video that they charged me two hours of labor and a lost day waiting for my car to be repaired. This 60 year old white haired lady thanks you and all the others who post video’s that help people like me save time and money. It is much appreciated!

    Good job. Not a good idea to only replace one bulb.

    • @Aggressivefun
      @Aggressivefun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've heard that before but I have a hard time tossing a perfectly good bulb away. I'd rather wait until it goes out to replace it - and it's still going strong! Thanks for watching!

      As a 40 year retired GM technician I can't tell you how many time we have at customer request replaced only one head light only to have them back in less than a month with the other light out.

    • @Aggressivefun
      @Aggressivefun  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand - don't doubt it a bit - but for me it's the same effort if I change them both right then or if I wait and change them individually when they actually burn out. Saves a little money and the time for me is the same. If you're payinmg someone to do it, it probably pays off to have that person do them both due to a reduced labor cost.
