I have the 2013 Traverse LT. I replaced all 3 bulb types with LEDs and didn't have a problem with LED heatsink or fan sizes, as of 2024. They make smaller ones equivalent to halogens now. The high beam for me had that clip, and can be accessed from the hood. The low beam you need to turn the wheel away from you, and unloosen two T20 screws, pry the wheel mud cover slightly and stick both hands in, and is a left twist to pull it out from the socket. Then I had to press a clip in the center back of the connection (not the sides like some videos show). The fog light uses the same exact bulb as the low beam. You also need to turn the wheel etc., twist to the left and then I had to use a flathead screwdriver to unloosen the two side clips to pull the bulb out. The low and high beams have the cover so make sure you cover it so dust doesn't get in. The fog lights go directly in without a cover. The bulbs have rubber seals for it.
You sir are awesome! I changed my low beams to led and wanted to swap out highs as well but couldn’t see or reach from the wheel well thank you for the great video very informative
I would like to add that the H7 LED high beam replacements have a socket ring that can be twisted off the lamp body. You seat the ring and secure the clip and the twist in the lamp body clockwise. I have large hands and this made a world of difference after watching the above video. It still took longer than I thought, but this would be helpful to those struggling with the install.
Thank you for the video! Unfortunately, the bulbs I ordered won't fit as they look exactly like the low beam bulbs. I will contact the seller and ask if there's an adapter that goes with the bulbs. Not gonna lie, it's a pain in the butt to get that clip back on. Thanks again!
The clip is easy. You press down and slightly to the side and if comes up. When you put it back on, you press down and then move it to the bottom center to clip it on.
Thanks for the video. I ended up breaking my retaining clip, and it's such a weird angle to try and replace that, that I think I'm going to have to take it in. Ugh
There was a tag on the light wiring, did it by chance say to make sure you check the polarity? The lights I just got do and the wire harness doesn't say what positive and negative are
So I got them installed in my high beams and then saw that they aren't shining as bright as advertising says then I was told to turn them. So can I still turn them while installed? Cause uninstalling them to install them again would be a pain like in the beginning. Any advice?

My pleasure, I grew up working on cars and can't stand when the pros make it look easy by editing out the difficult steps.

I would like to see a follow up video to see what your LEDS look like. Curious if they have a good beam pattern.
Sorry Marcus, I no longer have the vehicle. However, I will say that I was thoroughly impressed with the beam pattern of these lights.
I replaced all 3 light types. The new LEDs are definitely much brighter

Sorry, I don't recall and we no longer have the car.

I take it, you had to remove the cover to access the high beam?
I did
