You need a box that you keep all year for your uses up planner supplies- easier to see what you've used up than counting at the end of the year. And it would give you something to look at for progress.
Yes! I saw someone use a giant pickle jar and she would put dried up pens, and packaging for things that wouldn’t fit in there. It was cool to see

Maybe to have less bulk in your planner you can do some color pen spreads. Valentines Day, St Patrick’s Day, a spring rainbow, Pride rainbow etc. use the color pens only. Or days leading up to the day so you can use the sticker kits.

this might be blasphemy in planner world but i've actually become a ball point gal. my fav writing pen these days is the Zebra Blen. now when i feel bad about my massive pen pile, i can rewatch this video and feel less bad 🤣 what i've found helpful in using more of my stash is storing things in clear containers and not in piles or bins that get tucked away - it may not be feasible for ALL of your stuff but its been a game changer for me! i also separate my favs from my hangers on, like the stabilo fine liners and water color pens are across the room but all of my mildliners, brush pens and gel pens are within reach. you've inspired me to just LET GO of the stuff i'm holding onto for the sake of holding onto....
I love the bLen! In Canada they came out with a gel version as well in stores which is okay, but the ballpoint is so so beautiful. 😀

agree 100%... I haven't bought any art/pen/garbage supplies since 2021 and it has been so refreshing! No trips to Michaels, AcMoore.. no online dick blick, jetpens, Amazon... I not only saved a ton of money, but found out I could get buy just fine with a few essential microns and/or cheap Ohto pens. I encourage everyone to do the same... stop buying stuff and use what you already own.
I am LIVING for this series, I find it so incredibly soothing and funny as well.
Something that I started doing when I found a pen I loved was bought a box of refills instead of new whole pens. That way I knew I would still have "the pen" but could reuse the body and save a lot of room. Don't get me wrong.. I still have 900000 pens, but going forward if things break or die, that's how I'll be managing my collection 😂😂
Cindy we wanna see all the videos 🤣. I'm also on no spend but I love watching your stashes. Also favorite pen.... Depends on the day. Today was a .35 black Muji day but yesterday I went classic flare in a plum color.
I've made a random spin wheel online of themes i could do with the art supplies I have (goal is to use up washitape, stickers and ephemera) and have been using that to come up with my bujo themes :) I plan a lot ahead so I've planned out through may with this method and it worked pretty well!

I actually just decluttered my office pens (haven't gotten to the fineliners/art pens yet...) this weekend and ended up with a gallon ziplock to be donated to the school and a small trashcan full of dead pens. I recently started working from home and can now use my fountain pens for work so my current favorite is my Pilot Metropolitan in Fine inked with Papier & Plume Bayou Nightfall (a gorgeous dark muted teal). I'm doing a one pen/one ink a week challenge so my favorite may change as I try more combinations over the course of the year!
I also donated a ton of pens, markers, paper, stickers, color pencils and notebooks to a high school library. They were getting ready for Prom and needed supplies. I was in the process of moving from State to State and decided I'd donate a ton of stuff since it would be in storage for a few months and I didn't think some of the supplies would last (they'd probably dry out by the time I purchased and home and got moved in). The staff was very appreciative and they sent me a video of the staff and students thanking me for the donation. Felt so good to help them out. I did keep some favorites but would like to buy some that I gave away because I did use them. In time....
I think I found someone who has more pens than me. They seem to come out with new ones and as a addict of supplies must buy! I have joined the no buy so I will do as you did in this video and go thru my collection and rediscover some that I have forgot about, Thanks for sharing

Holy crap that is a lot of pens! My 10 year old self would die over all those jellyrolls lol.
Get some pen/pencil grips for the pens that are too small! They def help. You’d prob find bigger ones if you search for OT or disability aids (I got mine from my hand therapist). I’ve also seen someone mash a kneaded eraser around a marker for a makeshift grip, which makes it customizable!
I can have a difficult time deciding what supplies to use with the collection I have..I don’t know if I’d get anything done with yours with all the decision fatigue/overwhelm haha. But great job with working to whittle down your collection!

The 03 Clena is my daily use planner pen, thanks to you., but we could be here all day for my favorites in about 50 different categories. My new favorite multi pen is a Uni Jetstream 4 + 1 because it has A FREAKIN' PENCIL in it.
I’d love to see where you keep them all in your desk/cabinet. I love pens too and have a bunch I need to organize better so I can use them up. I’m on a no buy for planner supplies as well. I loved le pens as a kid but I have messed up hands from rheumatoid arthritis so I dont think I’d be able to grip a pen that small. Thanks for inspiration

I have a ton of pens, too, so it's fun to see yours. My go to is the old school Papermate Flair. I have my favorite colors (the Candy Pop colors plus the hard to find gray) and I'll buy a new package when they're on sale to fish out my favorites. Looking forward to seeing your markers & highlighters, too.
I love the medium ones. I have to import them but they are my babies lol
My fav everyday pen is the Pentel RSVP ballpoint pen. Love the ink, cheap and I need a little resistance in my pen when I write or my handwriting because unreadable. For sketching and inking in I am a Micron girl. I like the Pentel Flairs for Journal headings and setup pages. I am pretty basic and happy about it. I would love a review of those bold Flair pens!
To daily use, the Pentel RSVP is perfect
Have you done a fine liner thunderdome before? I'd love to see how the le pens hold up against the more common brands like stabilos because some of those colors looked really pretty!

My guilty pen pleasure is purple and teal ink. I love them for some.reason. probably because it's just something different. Purple ink makes me happy. 🙂
At minute 22:33 a purple'ish le pen goes in to Papermate Flair organizer!

The pens that makes me think of childhood are the RSVP pens! I coveted those and thought they were for rich people 😂
Metal barrel energel or paper mate ink joy gel 0.7 (the rubbery grip barrel) are my favorites. I do try to use my pretty pens from a planner subscription box as well.
I'm loving the Sarasa 0.5 clip when you mentioned that this brand wrote a bit drier. (I'm a Lefty and appreciate your including us in your reviews ) Also the Pentel Slicci in that purple a 0.8 and 0.5. I have a pen and paper and YARN addiction. I've been using the Studio brand gel pen 0.5mm from the Dollar Store for a few years ...has been a cheap fav. I would love to see reviews on your pen stash.
my favorite go to pens are the pilot precise V5 in all the colors. I rarely write in black ink.
I heard about Pentel Energel RTX from your videos and I now love this pen! I stocked up on these and even got some refills to reduce waste 😊
Love this! I don’t have as many pens as you, not even close. But I went through all of my pens and threw out the dried up ones and ones that I don’t like / don’t use. It feels nice to have room in my pen cup again 😂

you don't actually have my favorite pen! it's the pilot dr. grip pen, and it's the only one my arthritic hands can use for more than like 10 minutes without hurting. i love it so much i own the pencil version too.

I’m left handed the pens that have really worked for me the best with not smearing all over the paper and my hands have been sharpie pens.

Le Pens are just gorgeous and give my all kinds of vibes (especially the "Oriental Blue" ones, a former obsession of mine). For now, I love the Monami ballpoint FX 153, along with a black Muji .38 and Energel .5 as needed. Cindy, I'd love to see you review the Energel black with hint of color pens, they look very cool. Thank you!

Right before Covid when sitting at home with a newborn I went through my pens and kept my 2 favourite ones while giving the rest to my teacher friend. It was a whole box of pens. I only use fountain pens anyways so they were sitting there doing nothing. There were a lot of hotel pens. A lot. I mostly use my twsbi ecos right now with lots of shimmer and sheen inks. It’s been very fun.
You left a periwinkle LePen in the box of colorful fineliners! It's about in the middle with just like one fineliners above it.
I would love all the pen reviews. I do my pens differently than you do yours. I like to use one single pen (not just one type but a single individual pen) until it is dried up and then move on to the next. Don't get me wrong I still buy pens I love in bulk and have refills up the wazoo for the Pentel Energel 0.5 needle tip. As far as colored pens or markers go I always have a pack of flairs going (in each tip size) and another pack I use for coloring or current projects. When I get down to less than a thrid left in the pack I put all the leftovers in my "slop" bin and open a new full pack. My "slop" bin is an aluminum baking pan in the giant loaf size (like maybe 10x5 inches) and is full of pens in colors that I don't use often. But my personal rule is that if a pen in the set I'm using dries out and I NEED another in that color I have to check the "slop" bin thoroughly before I can open a new package. And no, I don't have to order new packages - I have several. I had papermate flairs on subscribe and save through Amazon for awhile. That was either the greatest thing ever or a massive mistake - depending on my mood.
Have you tried using a single solitary pen until it dries up. I go through at least one a week most weeks - sometimes more. Or at least run dry the refill. It is a fun challenge and makes me feel like I've accmpished something when I can throw a pen away because it's empty - even if all I've really done is make out my grocery list. (Kind of like when you write something on your list that's already complete just for the fun of crossing it off!)
I hope your dialysis is going well and you are feeling better physical or at the very list more confident mentally. You are in my thoughts and prayers! And I have loved these collection videos - for some reason they are very soothing!!

I love my Paper Mate InkJoy gel pens in .7 and have been using them exclusively in my bujo for going on 3 years now.
Ok, this may be the worst of the stash videos so far (that really is a lot of pens!) but still super fun to watch!! I’ve tried so many different styles but I still go back to a fine point black ballpoint every time 😂

Currently my favorite pen is the muji 0.5 black. I also primarily use black, but I used to use a lot of colored pens, mostly sharpie pens. I’ve reverted to black (and neutrals) more or muted colors, but I still get tempted by colorful gel pens and buy them on occasion only for them to sit and stare at me :(

I have started collecting various pens, mostly gel pens & felt tip pens, for my planner & journals. I was kind of getting overwhelmed like omg I have so many pens, how will I use all of them. Watching these videos make me feel more normal about buying colorful pens 😂 do you find that your pens last a long time? I’m not sure if pens will stop working after a few years even if the ink is not used up. I’m worried about my gel pens because I’ve taken off the wax tips on them to swatch and try out.

I love a chunky gel pen! My go tos are either Uniball Signo Broad UM-153 in black and other colors or Pilot G2 Bold in black. I don't feel like the other colors of the pilot work as well. Both have a 1.0mm tip 😎

I have a big pen, marker and color pencil collection. I try and separate mine as well. I love the Le Pens too but the barrel is very small and my fingers start to hurt if I'm writing with them for too long; I also use them for drawing. It'd be great to see a video comparison on the paper mate flare fine point. I think I have some around here. I'd have to dig them out. 🤣 My favorite pens to write with in my journal / planner are the Sarasa's and the Uniball Signo RT1. 🙃

I love my zebra sarasa multi .5 so I have 1 utensil with 4 pen colors and a pencil. Nicest on my hand, easy refills, and choices!
Wow, you have a lot of pens. I thought I had a lot of pens. I love the way you have them organized. My favourites are the Pentel energel, micron pigma, Flair and I absolutely love the jelly roll pens. Oh yes, I love the sarasa clip pens as well. And I will definitely watch for some of your pen reviews....I'm looking forward to the markers review! :)
I love the monami pens! So underrated!
My current favorite are the zebra sarasa clips. It may change in a month or two but don't worry, I bought a bunch of them for now 😆
My current go-tos are the tried and true Pilot G2 (0.5), Mircroperm (0.3), and I have always loved my Faber Castell Pit Artist Pens! I recently tried the Uniball One and I really like it, but my only dislike is I find it skips quite a bit; I use it mostly in my financial planner because I find highlighters don't smudge the ink quite as much!
you should do a video where you swatch all of your pens, markers, washi etc. This will help you get rid of some of the older ones and so you remember what you liked.
welp lol my favorite pen right now is the sarasa clip black in 0.4. My planner takes to it like absolute butter and the 0.3 is a very close second but i only use that when i need to cram words in somewhere. fav work pen is STILL pentel energel inside of a papermate inkjoy gel body. i know i was over the moon for the papermate inkjoy pen but i literally can’t remember what ink was in it. once i found the pentel refills it was over.
I love the Pilot Juice pens so much!
I use Pilot G2s and Papermate Inkjoys and el cheapo Papermate WriteBros pens. I've got so many colors in the G2s and Inkjoys but I do use them, mostly for journaling. I've got G2s that go back to 2016 and still write very well.
I love the EnerGel RTX - discovered it via a server at a restaurant. I did add a little finger bump thingy to thicken the barrel a bit though. Just got the teal/turquoise blue version for Christmas because it's my color. I also had to laugh because the washi video - I thought, ok that's quite a bit but I can see how that's addictive. Stickers? No interest in for me but WOW THAT'S A LOT. Pens? What, that seems like a perfectly normal amount and totally understandable and wait what was the name of that one ... oooo, and that one so I can try that...

Love the energel 07 and my most recent addition a tul for black ink. for colored ink, it's flairs, le pens, and g2s all the way.
Pigma micron flex: I own every size from 003 to 12, but have exactly ONE of each. If I need a replacement they have all sizes in open stock at my local art store.

I have so many pens I love. But recently I've found that I'll always go back to my Sarasa Dry in any thickness. Though ... I just got into fountain pens so we'll see if Sarasa can hold on to the top spot!
My everyday pen is the Pentel Arts Hybrid Technica in .5 (although I use the .3 and .7 depending on what I need). I use a Micron 05 in Red for some of my accounting work, but the Pentel is what I run through all the time.
Fav pens hard call. I have a Dr. Grip multipen which is a space saver. I am usually using a Uniball Vision Elite.
My favourites would the medium tip flair, sharpie pen and bold flair.
Right now my favorite is the Pentel RTX. Although I love pens in general. Just be glad you didn't get on the fountain pen train!
I do a lot of vinyl kits so I use primarily taotree permanent marker ultra fine point. That being said I have a ton of sharpies, papermate multi colors in flair and jelly rolls that I color with.
I can't wait to see your Marker collection, that's my weak spot, lol. I've always wanted to try the Monami pens for the same nostalgic reason... might have to grab some, but I really don't NEED them, ya know?

I discovered the Pilot Hi-Tec C pens a few years ago, and that's all I use now. They're Japanese but easily available online. I like the 0.3 and 0.5 tips. Anything thicker doesn't do it for me. I have a good stash in black and blue ink, but really only use the black.
Colored pens. Ugh. I love the idea of colored pens, but I don't use them. I keep buying pretty packs of rainbow colors. I need to stop. I won't use them. I use black pens and add color with mildliners or Tombow brush markers. That makes me happy.
In terms of writing,I'll stick to the Staedler pigment liners. I gravitate towards the 0.2 and 0.3 ones a lot. I tried the Sakura Micron, and while I loved the sharper black, for some reason the lot I got either dried out really fast, or got damaged during shipping somehow and leaked all over the packaging.
14:34 Those energel with black are my absolute favorite pens right now and I can’t find them anywhere except overpriced on eBay (where I’m not sure they are real)😢 Try sketching with them then take a water brush to them 😍 it’s ✨magic✨
I’ve found a Uni pen that’s *close* to these but still not the same. I might actually cry when my last ones run out, but hey I’m dramatic 😅
i think i have about the same amount of coloured pens..and i'm sad enough to have packages of coloured gel pens that have not been opened... and i mean packages and packages of them... i gravitate towards Sharpie pens, clena and inkjoy gels
This makes me feel better about my own collection, although I am jealous of all of the different brands

My current pen of choice is uniball Signo 207 and 207 Bold (when I need a fatter line).
I had some Signo RTs and my husband claimed them (so I got the 207 to keep our pens distinct) and now he can't find his and claims I stole them. 🙄
I swear by Pilot Hi-Tecpoint V5. It is a liquid ink pen. Din't really see that pen type in your collection. Oh, and I never leave house without a Muji gel pen. Ridiculously reliable at an amazing price point.
Have you considered selling them? Or donating to a school? If you walk into a school with free Flairs to give away, you better fear for your safety. I'm a teacher & we buy/ use pens by the ton. I wish I could buy those fineliners off of you!!!
