i am a huge fan of the crayola supertips because they're so cheap that I don't feel like I can mess them up and i've found that I can use them for coloring or lettering or linework and the color selection/cost/ease of access are all really good!
They're also great for stamping! I like to use icon stamps in my planner to avoid bulk, and I don't ever worry about ruining the tips by rubbing over stamps because they're so cheap.
Crayola supertips are the gateway drug of the marker world. They're so cheap and versatile, and I never had to worry if my kid got into them and engaged in his favorite activity, drawing on my dining room wall.
@@susant4589 in the UK we don't use them for art, they are always bought for kids, I've tried them out of curiosity but didn't like them and took them to a charity shop
I'd love to see a marker/pen only week in the Makselife! I'd love to see how you do it because those are the supplies I like to buy.

My go to markers are tombows, but I only have them and super tips. I just got a pack of pentel touch pens for Christmas and like them so far, but wish they didn’t ghost (and I’m using 120gsm paper!). But I may be pressing too hard, so I’m hoping with practice they won’t ghost, bc those are the only things I’ve used that have so far (the darker colors more than the lighter ones)
Def saving these videos for ideas for when I want/am able to expand my collection! Esp the metallics

I would also love to see a pen only spread in your MakseLife planner. Maybe with some of your great doodles. I was getting a bit overwhelmed with your collection. 😅
The Zebra Mojini line of highlighters are now my favourite as they don't smudge gel pens! Used to loved the mildliners, but they were terrible in smudging my writing, especially on Tomoe River paper. So the Mojini works great!
The black textsurfer is for blacking out stuff when scanning papers!
I am watching this video after leaving Walmart with a pack of Clickart marker pens that I did not need. I think I need to join you on your no buy year. 🙈

Yes! High-Five to a fellow craft no-buyer for 2023! I'm currently curating my stuffs, putting like with like.
My favorite pens are my fudenosuke hard tip brush pens in all the colors. I have used up many black ones and they are ones I have to replace most often. I also love Crayola Supertips because of the color selection, and they’re great for coloring and lettering. I am slowly growing my Tombow collection, I buy a few here and there so one day I may end up with a full set.
Tombow brush pens have replaced Zebra mildliners as my favorite when I want to add color to my journal.

For colouring I so much love my ecolines Brushpens. 😍

I use my Mildliners the most, so I don't know why I think of the Tombows as my favorite?
I don't hand letter like I would love to be able to. I use the mildliners on every day in my planner, and I have some small LePen and LaPen flex that I really enjoy using.

Oh I love the tombow fudeneske pens too. I've decluttered my stash at least 10 times but it always makes the cut no matter how rare their use. Haha
I like Tombow because I use them to watercolor stamps and backgrounds.

I would love both an organization video of all of your supplies and or a swatching video of all your supplies.
Frixion is my favorite type of marker and highlighter. I also love their pens and fineliners. I do get frustrated with them sometimes, but the fact that they're erasable is what keeps me coming back to them. I also have a smaller set of Crayola SuperTips, and I did happen to find a set of their Take Note erasable highlighters at my local Walmart. I even found a dupe set by Pen + Gear, which are unique in that they're skinnier than the Crayola brand but work the exact same way. The only thing I don't like about them is the fact that once you use the eraser ink on them, you can't go back over where you've erased like you can with Frixion. That's slightly annoying. But like I said, sometimes Frixion can be annoying too, especially if you've erased too many times in the same spot. The more you erase and try to reuse, the less pretty it becomes, and sometimes it ends up being unreadable and you have to use white-out (which defeats the purpose altogether! lol).
Other than erasables, I also have the SuperTips I mentioned, plus I have a set of Mildliners. They only get used if I want to make whatever I'm writing/marking permanent. The same goes for a set of old-school Sharpie highlighters (not the S-note, the OG neon colors) and Bic Brite Liners. I don't use them as much since I'm so addicted to Frixion's erasability, but it would be a good idea to start using them more so they don't go to waste. Agreed! I'm finding that I reach for my Frixions daily to use in my Moleskine and in my budget binder. They write beautifully on the paper and I love being able to erase my mistakes, even after highlighting.

I'd love to see swatches of the pen, especially the one you had 3 of (was that a fountain pen) that you showed in your green pen case.
I absolutely love dot markers and mildliner brush pens. I'm also currently loving the misulove brush pens--they have a variety of sizes, there a nice dark black, and very juicy. It was nice to see your collection and get your thoughts on the different brands/types of markers. I've been very curious/tempted by the zig brush pens.
I use the pilot frixion markers and highlighters most, not because I think they are the best but because I mess up a lot and don't want to keep looking at my mistakes.
Same here! I'm a big fan of Frixion everything for that very reason! I have pens, markers, highlighters, and fineliners! If they ever came out with brush pens, I think I'd be set for life! lol

For my planner, I have to go with Tombows because they are so versatile.
Zig Dots are my absolute must have markers.

Hi, Cindy! Did you try to make a list of all your supplies at some separated notebook to easier find what you have/need? I plan to make my own but procrastinate it 😅 but I think I really need one because I buy things I already have too 😄
I have the arteza real brush pens and I struggled with them for letting too. Realized they were better for art.
Don't the markers dry out? I've somewhat cured myself of hoarding by noticing how they dry out even if I don't use them

I just found you and watched your pen video and this one lol. You are my girl haha. I knew I wasn't the only one that collects writing instruments, swears, and has a chronic illness. To make you feel better, your collection is much tamer than mine lol so don't feel bad. Somebody should lock my ass up! I have been collecting for 40 years and I'm in the process of researching and logging everything in. What a shit show going on in here! I have thousands of fucking pens and pencils all over my floor in bags with a small trail to get to the bathroom. I thought I was ready to begin my journey last week but everywhere I look, more shit! I don't even know what I have. I'm not sure if you are into pencils, vintage, promotional, fountain pens, etc. and if you are not, please don't because it is a rabbit hole that will make you lose your mind and make you fucking broke. Oh, I forgot to mention I also collect vintage stationary like paper, notebooks, binders, etc. and vintage office supplies like staplers, letter openers, calculators, etc. I also restore this shit lol. I used to love this but being sick I can't get a lot done at once so this is a huge endeavor for me. My morbid sense of humor just thinks how embarrassing it would be to die in my sleep surrounded by this hoard of pens and what the people hauling me off would think lol! I just subbed and look forward to watching your other videos. Thank you for making me laugh. There are not many people like us in this world ha!

I know you're not buying anything but since I found the Tru Red fine permanent marker (that's Staples Brand) - I will not use a Sharpie extra fine anymore! The tru red is better!!
