I’m looking to LS swap an e24 635csi.. any advices? is that something you would be willing to do? I’ve been watching your videos you seem pretty savvy 😅
Yes the e46 window has a hole in it for a bolt to go through that is not resident on the e30 rear window. You can’t drill a hole so you must either glue or adhere by some other method
@@Garageaholic sorry my question was worded poorly, I meant is there a difference in how much the window opens (as in how wide the back of the window comes out from the body of the car)? It seems like the e46 motor arm full extension is around 2.5 inches, and im unsure if this is more/equal to/less than how far the window opens when using the e30 oem latch.
The window sizes are different so the fan out angles are different. Overall it’s similar, but it’s much less compared to stock e30 manual fly outs. But this and e46 is similar
Yeah it’s been a while - Garagistic is looking to sell the kits actually. I initially developed them but they will be productionized and sold by Garagistic. Sometime soon!!
I didn't even have determination to watch the whole video and i skipped to see the end.Great job!!!
Haha thank you?
Would love to see this retrofitted on the e36 coupe
You local? Give me your E36 coupe and I'll give it a go!
Garageaholic I’m in NY, been following your n54 build great job btw

If the glue doesn't hold up on to the glass, you need to glue a bigger piece. Instead always falling apart. .
I found a good gluing method actually! I think finally!
Hey man! Is this the e30 pop out windows, or is it achiveable with the regular ones?
Yup! Need the pop out versions of the windows since it has the hinge on the one side!
@@Garageaholic Ah yea, now I see the plugged holes for the e30 mechanism. 😄 Thanks!
Link is dead. How much is the kit?

I would be keen. Following just incase you get them done
@@Garageaholic Any news on this?
how are you going to put an electric sun shade in the e30?
I’m working that now. My go to is e92 shade but need to ensure it is not too wide for the e30
Garageaholic let me know. Been wanting to do that mod so bad!
cool! not for me though i like the manual way.
