    Thanks for posting this. My cluster had an identical failure to yours - right illumination and left turn signal indicator!

    Thank you for this information! you are the good type TH-camr really helpful 🙏 maybe you can help brother.. I have a bmw E30 but I have swapped the engine to a Nissan SR20 DET and I need to feed a signal to my tachometer do you know from where I can get my signal connection? Is it from the coil signal wire or the injector pulse wire? I have no idea how to get a signal.. maybe both coil to pin 7 and injection pulse to pin 11? Please advise 🙏

    thats cool. i wonder my gas gauge never turns on when the fuel is low.

    The 55lt tank has one sensor the 62lt tank has two so each one needs the appropriate gauge

    Literally exactly the problem im having with my cluster. Mines an 89 too, wonder why ours are failing the same way.

      I think it’s because of the expansion and contraction do the heat. And I think generally the copper traces are just fragile

      @@Garageaholic i was thinking about just sending it to bavarian restoration and be done with it

    Same problem with my 89 325i. How did you find the break in the trace for the blinker?

    • @we30touringcollection76
      @we30touringcollection76 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fast blinking means that one of the two bulbs on the turn lights is blown
      Just replace the bulb on the non working light

    Really nice Job! How can i diagnose a faulty rpm gauge? Works only from time to time ...

    • @Garageaholic
      @Garageaholic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd start by replacing just the gauge and see if it comes back. Trial and error is probably your best bet here!
