And also I totally agree!! Some weeks I get loads of traffic, orders and messages etc on etsy and other weeks it's literaly nothing, I was also thinking it has to be something with the algorithm,, glad I'm not the only one 😛
It’s the weirdest thing!!😭 I get too comfy when it’s quiet and I’m never ready for the random influx of orders😂 maybe it’s to give other shops a chance to make sales too🤔
Thanks for this, Its really informative, I would love to start a website just to have it in the background, horror stories about etsy closing shops are definetly real and I realy need to get on it and get a backup..
No problem! And yesss if you’re able to get one it’s good to have it on the side😊 Etsy is a good starting point but probably isn’t secure for a business long term💕
Did you just make a bulk of freestyle press ons ? And then uploaded them to your Etsy ? When someone places an order, how do I know if the nails will fit their nail beds ?
Hey! While I can’t tell you exactly what to do I’d advise using what you have available to the best of your ability e.g. saving for a few months, sell some old stuff you don’t need anymore, ask friends/ family to invest in your business etc and as @elissalewis said above 👆🏽 it’s only around 100-150 you need to start and if you research really well you could even do it for less than that!😊 hope that helps 💞
Hey! If you’re talking about Etsy specifically: - make sure your titles have every key word related to the nails you are selling so when people search for specific nail designs, yours will show up because you have used those key words - When listing your products make use of the hashtags!! Hashtag literally everything the your nails have lol e.g. #pinkglitternails, #abstractnails, #goldflakenails etc. - have attractive pictures… unfortunately you will be in competition with other nail businesses using Etsy so make sure you have a variety of nice photos! - It could also be your designs, make designs that people are most likely to be searching for this time of year e.g fall/autumn nails or trending nail designs - Add a verity of sets so people have more to check out from your shop I hope those key points help! A lot of the time it’s also just luck with Etsy😩 all the best!💕

Great video! In my opinion biggest downside to Etsy is word of mouth.
- Hey cool nails!
- Thanks! Theyre from Etsy!
Like… no. Wheres my credit 😭
That’s another great point! It takes away the idea of building a brand people can recognise 😩
@@patternedpaints love your videos! Thanks for making them!

Do you have any tips on getting money to start a press on nails business?
Have a yard sale! You really only need about $100 to get started.
