I am loving your channel and getting to know you. I went to tarot tube because I thought it would help me learn tarot. It didn't help me learn tarot, but did help me spend a lot of money, lol! I love your perspective. I am finding the more I practice with my cards, the more intuitive/psychic I become. Thank youfor what you share on your channel.
I'm really glad I watched this video, because you expressed a lot of what I feel but don't usually hear. I agree, tarot books are the absolute worst. I would sign my name in blood to attest to the accuracy of that statement. I'm 29 and I've read tarot since I was 12. I've read, or tried to read, so many books about tarot in my life, and never once has that information stuck. I've literally been reading one for the last month and I feel like I'm climbing a mountain. I remember being 12 years old, trying to read the book my deck came with and feeling the information slip away from me as soon as I read it. I've kept trying for the last 17 years because there's this thing in my head that says if it doesn't come from a book then it's not real. I absolutely have get rid of that mindset, because it keeps tripping me up. I also agree with you that to read cards is to do predictive readings. People are so weird about that, especially when you consider how much holistic thinking is revered in spiritual spaces, but as soon as you suggest that what's going on in the mind determines what we do, and what we do determines our future, and therefore...then all of a sudden the mind stands on an island away from all other parts of life and the idea that you could read into anything but the mind is wrong. Maybe I'm being mean here, but I also don't like the atmosphere that psychological tarot reading creates. It really is just as prone to manipulative behavior as any other approach. I've come across so many people that I can't stand as readers-they're always sharing memes and snotty posts about how they give such great advice through their tarot readings but no one wants to heal, so go ahead client, keep screwing up your life while I sit over here and sip my tea. Are they aware that they're not actually psychologists or counsellors? Why do they feel ok getting up on a high horse and shaming people for not healing according to their schedule and advice? I wouldn't even take that attitude from an actual psychologist or counsellor. Thank you for the video! I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts, and after typing this message out and thinking about these topics I feel like I can get rid of even more tarot books now. My bookshelves (and my reading time, ability to read the cards, and sanity) will thank me for it.
This is such an insightful video. I'm relatively new to reading Tarot and I feel like I got caught up in the "hype" reading tarot books, studying symbolism, etc. etc. I love how you said "the cards are magic". That really resonates with me. This is a boost of encouragement to leave the hype behind and trust in the magic of the cards. Thank you!!
I so relate to this and what you said , I had exactly the same experience and started questioning myself and this is why I’ve pulled away from tarot tube for a while , I found myself questioning how I read even though I’ve been reading since 1992 and I became I collector rather then a reader. So now I’m going back to my roots and shedding all those decks I collected apart from a handful. I’m so pleased you spoke out 👏👏👏 and I will be back when my hearts back in it .. maybe 🙏❤️
I agree with like everything. I only read one book and a white book that's all. I have always read things using my psychic abilities. Tarot tube made me feel bad when I first came on as a viewer when they were bashing psychics and I went on to make videos defending myself. The way I read and like yourself began purchasing a bunch of decks. Years later I come to realize that I was trying to proofI was as good as them who bashed psychics. One day I was like f this. I am good at what I do. I have a gift and I have changed lives. My clients love me. I am a psychic and it's a fulltime job and I make a living off it. I loved doing a VR to I am a fortune teller and basically say hey this is who I am and What I do. I love watching your channel becuase I relate to so much of your content and views on cards they are magical. I just did a few videos on how my spirit guides are showing cards I should work with and I been doing just that and it's amazing. My whole path is changing I feel the magic again. I no longer feel the need to do what others are doing. Or having to justify what I do. Everyone can do what ever they want this is about me. Thank you for always being yourself my friend. ✊

Yes, Yes, and Yes! Tarot decks were made to predict the future! I have not ever finished a damn tarot book because Its like watching paint dry and they all do say the same thing, I have been reading for over twenty years and I also did not "study " the meanings of the cards till just a few years ago, when I was done with my studies I said meh and continue reading the way I always have which is spreading the cards out for someone and letting them tell them their story. As you say you do need to get out of your own way I think we can be our biggest block because we second guess ourselves and if we listen to anyone else and how they read we start questioning our abilities because we have to follow the "tarot reading rules". Tarot ,fortune telling cards etc has been used since ancient times for divination and not for inner improvement, etc. It is a movement these days to denigrate this art and transform it into a form of inner psychological development, to teach you how it is right to ask questions in a form that induces inner transformation, all to catch the audience -lover of positivity. Life is full of a multitude of events, some people know best to schedule them, others to live them and others to predict them. Everything I dreamed and "read" came true whether I wanted to or not, regardless of the detours, the result was the same. But let's go back to more beautiful things and tell you that in France some people declare that the tarot is a game of inner personal development and nothing more .... and if it is more towards divination in any case they know nothing about this thing.
I love this manner of reading and came to it bassackwards. After studying for some years I began to "see" meanings - meanings and relationships and not just the proscribed meanings. This seeing is much more accurate than any "reading by the book". Study has its place, one has to begin somewhere, there are many ways to get turned on. Great video, thoroughly enjoyed this. I am reading some books and yeah, I agree with you, most of the time are really boring and to be honest it seems to me that they all say the same things lol. Sometimes just looking at one card, I can find A LOT of things that are not written in the books. But I love to read and learn, so I think I'll continue. So many ways to approach the Tarot. Still not sure about what is what, the words. Love that you bring this discussion to the table! Still not sure about for example the word intuition. For me intuition is a process inside a person, an intra psychic process that let that person know of things happening in the physical world. A hint, a feeling, a gut reaction. It has got nothing to do with spirit. But when people on the darling Tarottube talks about intuitive readings I get very weary about what they really mean. Perhaps the meaning of both intuition and shadow work has been broadened over time. I am not quite onboard yet, perhaps I will be. Another thing that I don’t know what to make of is the common thing in the Tarot fb groups to post pictures of cards/spreads that not have any real background, are not attached to any real persons or situations and ask to read those cards/spreads. For me that is impossible and totally uninteresting. For me, the cards must be linked to some real people or situations to be possible to be read! Of course it is possible to see general card meanings and see a story in the cards, but that is of no interest at all, for me, the way the story goes can take infinite different turns depending on the real situation. Please explain!
Grace, I have your book and in the chapter on cartomancy there are no descriptions for the 8 9, or 10 of any of the decks. Can you explain that a bit more? Should these cards be removed from the deck prior to the reading? Thank you.
