Since everyone has been commenting on her English or grammar of this media, instead of appreciating the content of this interview, I'd like to say that the way she does not try to hide that mother tongue accent while speaking AmE is what is more interesting rather the 2L error itself. I mean, many 'public figures' have been trying to sound as foreigner as possible, while pronunciation is what matters after all, not accent. AND COME ON! IT'S NOT EVEN HER 1ST LANGUAGE AND IF SHE HADN'T HAVE CAPABILITY, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ADMITTED TO THAT SAID TO BE THE BEST UNI IN THE WORLD. AGAIN, WORLD. so we chill.

Sad that people always trying to look for the mistake, and not appreciate the efforts.
She actually has a pretty good accent.
People always like that, it seems only Indo people who have problem with it. Just look at Filipina or India/South Asia. Their people speak English in daily basis but always keep their accent the same as their mother tongue's accent.
i barely hear her Indo accent and her America accent is on point though than mostly indonesian artists. even native said her accent is really good like 9/10
Awalnya nonton film "untuk rena", terus liat ada anak kecil cewek yg actingnya bagus dan gue yakin, suatu saat dia akan jadi bintang besar nantinya.. Dan inilah cewek itu sekarang !!!
First time saw her on youtube speaking English and my gosh hers is so awesome,,,and when,,she talked Traditional dangdut,,a little bit makes me laugh,,because she promote the truly indonesian genre,,heee,,,thank you maudy you are very smart and inspiring the others,,,,,

Orang itu ada 2jenis: fleksibel ,tidak fleksibel
Fleksibel : bisa merubah dan mengerti bahasa dan aksen sesuai lokasi secara otomatis.
Tidak fleksibel : bisa merubah dan mengerti bahasanya , tetapi aksen negara asal tak berubah.
Mungkin Maudy itu semi , tiga tahun di Inggris , tetapi aksen Inggrisnya tetap aksen Amerika.
Kurangnya cewek itu keliatan nanti kalo udah punya suami.
