Typical opinion in Chinese capital circle, Jack Ma is the in the middle of mega capital and government regarding on-line loans business, capital would like to promote small loans, and government would like to put it under stricter supervision. And Jack Ma intentionally selected a lecture occasion to public this conflict. The root cause is that he can't afford the pressure from capital side. This is a smart way and have to be done at that moment.
I’ve visited Xi’an twice (2015 & 2019). One thing that make me impressed about Xi’an metro is the unique symbol in every station that represents the uniqueness about the particular system. I miss Xi’an delicious food & historical sites

I like the fact that each metro station in China has a theme for local station. The tech theme matches very well with the station named after university. The color coding scheme is also innovative - first time seeing a city doing that. They must have very good logistic management to assign the right carriage to the line with matched color.
Regarding your second point, I think it's quite common to assign specific trains to specific lines, usually because each line is served from one depot. In London, for example, you can see this even more clearly since every deep-level line has its own distinct train design. The 2009 stock only runs on the Victoria line etc. As far as I know, this is very similar in other Chinese cities as well.
The Chinese really didn't waste a penny in building these infrastructures..looks very premier, modern, clean and orderly.the chinese people are lucky to have ccp as their govt. Fan from philippines🇵🇭🇨🇳
Max, I love the Subways in Xian. They are so spacious, bright, clean and each station looks different and beautiful. Riding the subway may be part of tourist attraction. When I travel to countries, beside visit the famous scenery, culture and historial places, I enjoy seeing magnificent architecture buildings and constructions.
They have 7 lines already? This. This is why I always say : China insane speed. 3 years ago, there were only 3 lines when I was there. I had to catch the green buses from city old terminal to Terracotta museum. Now we can take subway there (line 9?). Thanks for your superb video, it feels like I'm travelling in Xi'an now. Btw, do you know whether we can top up our wechat wallet if we dont have Chinese ID or bank acc? Since early 2019 I cannot top up my wallet anymore.

Gorgeous, the decoration of the stations is really well done. The trains are beautiful with the color themes. We can see on the line 5 diagram in the train that the last stations are still under construction. The pace of development is tremendous. I am surprised that you can film freely in subways and airport.

The metro seems really very clean and very secure! In Paris you have to be careful, there are a lot of pickpockets in the metro. 😔 The frescoes are magnificent! I went to Paris in 2019 (for the 5th time) and someone stood behind me to pick pocket. I turned around and they ran off. Now my bag is always in front of me. 😞😞

My family moved to Xi'an more than a hundred years ago, around 1900. By my generation, I feel I am totally Xi'anese. But I still remember my grandpa told me fairy stories in his dialect.
Wow. 50 chinese cities now have subways. More than usa. The world longest subways are in china beijing shanghai which are two times longer than that of london new york.
When comparing it to Warsaw metro I noticed 2 key differences. 1. The system is much, much larger. 2. The metro cars do not look that comfortable. While those special coloured seats are great, I have to say that I expected the seating to be a bit more comfortable. Overall, the video was great, though, and I really enjoyed it.
it's metro you know... You usually dont stay sit on a metro for hours XD , it's super fast and travel short distance quickly. that would be bad if it was like a express train or a plane. But for metro, it's great. You usually stay sit for what..5 minutes or something XD

Not line 9. You shall take airport intercity trains to North railway station, in which transfer line 4 to connect other lines.
