My newly deceased piano teacher thought of Dussek as one of the "lesser spirits". He couldn´t have been more wrong! Dussek even points towards Schubert and Mendelssohn.. One of my new "gods".🤩😍🎆🎇🎀
He reminds somewhat of Haydn. Interesting: Sophia Giustina Dussek (née Corri; later Moralt; Edinburgh, 1 May 1775 - London, ca. 1831)[1] was a Scottish singer, pianist, harpist, and composer of Italian descent. In 1792, she married the composer Jan Ladislav Dussek. Following Jan's death in 1812, Sophia married the violist John Alvis Moralt. The couple lived in Paddington, where she founded a music school.
What a pianist! A great artist!
Sadly overlooked composer. Very convincing ❤🩹romantic!
Merci de Paris 💙❤🧡💛⚘
A very talented young man!
Living from 1760 to 1812........... not a very long life - but he is deep! Very deep. As deep as Beethoven!
A romantic masterpiece full of longing, mystery, delicacy and drama. Starting at 19.05 - goosebumps!
Merci de Paris
The best version of this sonata! Congratulations!

The start of third movement (15:34) sounds like a prayer. Genuine romanticism. It IS a prayer = Invocacion.... a movement of romantic nature.
Increíble sonata! La mano derecha sumamente virtuosa
Música extraordinária.
Excelente! 👌
Great romantic inventor! I learned about him only yesterday, and as a Jan Ladislav Dussek (his international surname I guess)
Great piece with a tremendous last movement!

Buenazo!!!
He was wanted as performer - even in St. Petersborg- Russia, so he was "somebody" as an artist.
The finest early romanticism.
