Just came across Dussek/Dusik a few days ago, after years of listening to classical music. Amazing that he is very much in obscurity. I love his music!
Vynikající! Dussek is also known to make the piano makers to extent the piano to 6 octaves and was the first to sit at the piano with his profile to the audience. Everyone followed the suit....Also one of the first to write a piano quintet in 1799, posted here, one of the best pianists prior Beethoven.
Dussek (as his name is usually spelt) is not totally neglected, owing largely to the remarkable Romantic character of many of his works including this one - remarkable when you consider he was a contemporary of Mozart and more like a very early 'flash in the pan' of Romanticism than a linear forerunner such as (e.g.) late Schubert.

Wonderful music! Very solid with excellent themes. So unjustly neglected.
Je l écoute encore 💖🧡💙💜
superb.
I completely agree.
My favorite parts : 14:03 to 15:19 and the finale (17:26 to the end)..
This is full-fledged early Romanticism at its finest.

Espantoso! E foi composto antes do Trio Arquiduque de Beethoven e do Trio A Truta de Schubert...
