  • If there's odd throttle response or throttle lag, you may want to try performing a reset of the adaptive throttle.

    You may have to try this a few times but this 100% worked for me

    Thank you for the video, never heard of this procedure.
    Love my M140i, but not sure if the remap I had done would affect the throttle map anyway ?

      It seems to me the two things should be independent (i.e. throttle reset should only affect throttle response to throttle input, not engine behaviour), but whoever remapped the engine ECU, should be able to confirm..

    I love you! Fixed my problem in my 440i GC, original owner must’ve been a granny.

    Hi will the reset help gear change too? Sometimes my car holds rev at second gear I feel like it should change gear, but it doesn't until I feed it more throttle

      It will not reset gearbox, but I'm not sure how much gearbox logic draws from throttle data and so if it will have an indirect effect on gearbox.

      @NoBrainerTalk thank you but did you notice any improvement in gear change when you reset yours I'm only asking because sometimes I feel that the car should change earlier especially from 2nd to 3rd it goes up to around 2000 rpm plus althou on very light throttle

      @@SamMuj91 I don't remember is the honest truth. :) I might do a throttle reset and let you know if I feel any changes to the ZF8 behaviour.

    do you press down the gaspedal completely with an automatic too? Like press down the kickdown?

    • @NoBrainerTalk
      @NoBrainerTalk  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I tried it and it didn’t seem to do anything.. I tried it twice. I have the 2016 340!

      Hi there, I assume you mean that the process was followed, the reset occurred (you heard the ECU noises), but that there is no noticeable difference to the car. If that's the case I suppose your throttle application (how rapidly and how far you press the accelerator/gas pedal) is not far off from the BMW default, so even if the car had adapted the reset would not change much. That's a possibility. :) The reset will not address turbo lag or kickdown lag, only throttle lag, that's a very small factor generally.

      Try getting in the car for the first time don't press the brake or anything, press the start button , then press the gas pedal to the floor for 15 seconds. , While ur foot is down on the accelerator still press the start button to shut the car off then release your foot off and wait 2 minutes without touching anything. Ignore the people saying you will hear sounds it's just the flaps in the HVAC closing.
