Hi Ryan, thank you a lot for playing our game and sharing it with your audience! Everyone - if you have any questions, feel free to ask them here and we'll do our best to answer them. Having seen many "Furry" references in the comments, we'd like to let you know that we've actually added a furry skin to the game :-) You can find it by googling "misread our game as Furry Unleashed "
@@musegaarid There's full customization in the game, you can pick any skin color, play as a female, skeleton, robot, mysterious skeleton, furry, cthulhu... Ok, not gonna spoil them all.
Glad to see you playing this Egg. The developers are fantastic people and super willing to chat with the community. They are planning to add online co-op given that the game is successful enough to warrant it.
Hey there, thanks for the kind words! And also we've already determined that the game is doing well enough to add the online co-op :-) But it'll take us a few months.
Can't remember xactly how long I've been subbed but you're the only content producer I've followed this consistently for more than 5 years, love the content man. Here's hoping I'm around for that big 1M
Thanks for the company Egg, damn near 10 years and counting (found you through Machinima in like 2010-11, then started watching the original Flash Isaac series)
1:11 spot on punch-up of the english language. It baffles me to this day that this man has a bio major and not an english literature major. 3:47 he's cracked
Seems interesting. The static art looks pretty crisp but I'm unsure how I feel about the character animations. Has some good ideas so I'll wishlist it :D
Playing mouse + keyboard is a lot easier, believe me. Try it. Also, try not to use melee attacks so much, you're getting hit a lot. Use your guns more, don't use melee on the stationary monsters, like those vines, or zombie-like things that spit poison, same with spiders, cause they blow up. Personally, i don't buy buffs (donations), because from what i've learned after playing like 20 runs, a good weapon and armor is what matters the most, cause the first act (or a book, should i say) is really easy. Save it, cause later on, items cost a fortune (400-500 for a good weapon pretty soon) and often you don't even loot a good enough weapon. It gets worse later (book 2 bosses are already hard) and with no DPS and armor, you will die really fast. Same goes for upgrades, i'd go for the increased health orb drop from bosses and reload speed first (and some additional health, of course). Still trying to figure out many things, but that's what i've learned on my mistakes. Hope you will make more of this, the game is fantastic.
I have had my eye on this for a long while and watching this video has sold me. Not overly fond of the playable character animations tbh, but everything else looks fantastic!
I herald gameplay over graphics any time of the day, but sometimes there's just one visual trait that puts me off from enjoying something I'd otherwise love. Despite the gameplay loop looking solid, I don't think I can look past the flash-esque character animation. Even Rouge Legacy had more expressive movement (although it's a worse game), which is a shame, because the mechanics looks something I'd definitely enjoy, gives me ScourgeBringer vibes. Also, and far smaller gripe, even though they've pulled off a really clean, visually coherent and vibrant looking comic style for the UI, the actual game art direction feels like it doesn't use the same aesthetic to its potential, but at least it doesn't clash. I feel something like Void Bastards pulls this off with more flair. A small gameplay aside, I think that "quest" should have a fail state, not just allow you to retry ad nauseum, unless there's a penalty further down the line, time-gates to epic loot ala Dead Cells.
What's the point in the face camera? Especially when it constantly obscures UI? 12:17 That's the princess from Atlantis. Wtf? P.S. Great video, any chance game makes it into NLSS?
Cool concept but not a fan of the animation style. Especially, since the whole thing tries to imitate a comic book and this style is really far from hand-drawn comic books. Don't get me wrong though, everything else looks solid and fun. (Less so after reading some negative Steam reviews.)

i was glad to find a switch version, i am getting it there
Did you really have to make a game where a white dude was killing a bunch of native people? Not cool.
Jus bought the game after finishing NL's video. Game looks incredibly smooth, you are doing a great job, guys. keep it up!

"Has been on my radar for a while"
"Is a rogue like"
Starting strong on the Northernlion tries Bingo today :D
Hey NL, if you see this CONGRATS on all the new subs and you are doing a great job. Love ya beb
Thanks brother

Let's get it
Thanks for the company Egg, damn near 10 years and counting (found you through Machinima in like 2010-11, then started watching the original Flash Isaac series)
I’d enjoy a short series on this game if you would be willing to play more of it :)
Yooo such a pog game. This year is so strong in the roguelite department, it's a new golden age for the genre
Facts! Rouguelites took over this year!
I was desperately waiting for NL to play this one. Thank you NL.
contents been really great egg! started catching your streams and watching things other than isaac. you're doing awesome man! (pograin)
Call me when they release Furry Unleashed, am I right, folks?
Oooops, wrong channel.
There's a Furry skin available actually
I would love a mini series of this
This seems like the sickest game on the fucking planet
the comic book aesthetic looks really neat
Hey... 24:15 NL has the max-hp-gain-per-kill deal with the devil active and he doesn't gain max HP when he kills that boss!
Yoooo! More of this please! This game is a lot of fun to watch.
1:11 spot on punch-up of the english language. It baffles me to this day that this man has a bio major and not an english literature major.
3:47 he's cracked
NL: "A little bit of Devil may Cry going on here."
Buzz Lightyear: "I don't believe that man's ever played Devil may Cry."
Can't say this interests me personally but thanks for the video
would absolutely love a wee series of this if you have the time NL!
i actually got this game advertised to me on facebook, gotta give em credit, the PC games they've advertised to me there have looked pretty great.
Would love more of this game!
Short series on this would be fun to watch!
not realllly into the flash-era character sprites and environments, but hey.
NL: **says rogue-like**
The POGs: **begin descending from the heavens to bless the parched lands of TH-cam**
Seems interesting. The static art looks pretty crisp but I'm unsure how I feel about the character animations. Has some good ideas so I'll wishlist it :D
That would be a very nice series in your hands. I'd enjoy as many episodes as you can offer :-)
3:47 it’s like NL met himself in the game
*Comix Zone flashbacks intensify*
i was thinking the exact same thing
Do I hear a mini series?
I would love to see more of this

That wasnt the boss that was more of a mini boss, the chapter boss shows up at the end of the 3rd "page"
Would love to see more!
I’d watch some more of this game
This game looks fun af
Looks great. Kinda like Rogue Legacy in the Shank universe.
Please TH-cam recommend this to many people.
Finally its here!!!
I hope its here to stay for awhile it seems to by my number 2 RL
this video was awesome! more please :D
Hey Ryan, love all your content. Commenting for the algorithm, as per usual.
This looks really fun!

Pls upload more of this
He should probably play "Welcome to the game" 1 and 2
NL is in a great era, no doubt!
Think I'd prefer this as a series to Monster Train
This looks cool brother! Thanks for sharing!
If this game got online multiplayer, it's 100% a Wednesday Rob kinda thing. Hopefully they're working on it!
Ngl, I was bleary when I saw the title and thought this was called "Furry Unleashed" at first. Would've been a good pun, anyway.
Very VERY vaguely reminds me of Comix Zone.
Thanks for the content. Did not like the game, but at it was a little bit fun to watch. Keep up the good work NL :D
Thanks Egg, great game!
MONSTER TRAIN AND FURY UNLEASHED BETTER TAKE OVER THE CHANNEL ENNELLE

Don't they usually play co-op games in NLSS? This game has co-op but it's not online like Egg claimed, only local/splitscreen.
@@Distrance Yeah, turns out online co-op is only "coming soon". Though they could TRY Steam's co-op feature, i head it works fine in some countries
This game is amazing thank you so far another game you made me spent money i shouldnt be spending on :D
Soooo when you get hit why do you feel the need to continue hitting the thing that's hitting you so you can take more damage lol
This is Egg we're talking about here. A little known fact: He's bad at games.
look, he said furry, ha ha ha ha. have a nice day, everybody
OwO
Sick aesthetic
More of this.
Great vid
Who else read Furry Unleashed first? I've been watching too much Apollo since TCL...
I read it like this cause I see the word so often in my subs/feed that I automatically read "furry" instead of "fury" or "funny", ect.
I definitely did. I thought someone unchained Austin in the dog park.
isssss this comic zone?
Why does this remind me a bit of the old Sega Genesis classic Comix Zone with guns and run and gun type shooter?
Game seems fun but it has that free to play mobile game aesthetic that puts me off.
Same.
Same
now this is a thumbnail
Indeimaus the Wizard
rururu
What’s happening egg boy
Let's POG!
Comic book aesthetic would've been fine if it didn't look like bitstrips...
its a shame they went for a semi 3d feel to the sprites, it would look really cool if they went with the comix zone style
Without watching the video this would probably be better if it were Furry Unleashed. Just saying.
Yes
Big early 2000s shareware energy in the aesthetic :/
TFW Egg doesn't know about Steams remote play.
Games don't need online play now Egg boy
They have tested it on the nlss, doesn't work so well for fast paced games
It's still a plus to have dedicated online. Remote Play is still far from perfect.
SERIES
I'm trying to hold myself from it, but
*OwO*

This games art direction is truly horrible
This furry game looks ugly D:
I miss dark souls 3 :(
