His voice was pure gold and he was even more gorgeous in person than he was in the movies. I saw him in concert 6 times in the 1970's, he was breathtaking every time. When I was growing up, Elvis singing on the radio gave me hope I could survive my childhood.
My brother saw nearly every rock artist and band in the 1960's & 70's and when we saw Elvis in concert for the first time he said Elvis blew all the others out of the water.
