I remember the excitement, the chills that ran down my arms watching Elvis perform! And my mom had me on her shoulders, I was trying to catch his scarves!! The following year he passed away...oh how i remember my mom and sister bawling non stop. RIP Elvis 1977 and my mom 1980.

You may or may not know, after shows it was common for the musicians to gather in Elvis' suite and stay up all night singing gospel music, he loved Jesus, he wasn't perfect and had his own demons to contend with, but he IS with Jesus now.

What I like about this version is it is so raw-just him the drums and the beautiful and talented back up singers. I love when any performer goes raw without all the big production--raw and showing their talent and Elvis as we know was loaded with talent. What a voice. Wow.
@@icanfartloud agree, you can't hear the bass at all, if there is one thing Burning Love is, it's a drum, bass sound. I like hearing John's Wilkinson's rhythm guitar in the miix. You can tell something is wrong with sound as one of the Sweets is tapping her ear and I know it's first time playing live but that could explain a little with the sloppy ending or they haven't decided how to end it, even said that in the rehearsals at Sunset when they did the longer ending and Elvis asked "How are we going to fade it on stage?"

What can I say the greatest entertainer of all time.
Elvis had actually recorded that song "Burning Love" in the studio about two weeks prior to this show, but this was the first live concert attempt.
I was thinking the same thing. One take and it's ready to be pressed into vinyl.
