I was at this concert. I was 14 years old, in floor seats in front of the stage, 10 rows from him. Omg. Thought I would DIE. 1972, Greensboro
Which concert was this
I saw him New Years Eve in Detroit I felt the same way
@@cornevduijn7820 Greensboro 1972.
Congratulation Diane that you has the luck and see him live. Iam much too you young ( lol, 55) to see him live
Damn you lucky thing must of been amazing
He says it's a new song that he's never sung on stage before but he starts singing it like he's been singing it for years...lol. So talented!
Elvis is the best in your time.
Talent.
All time
God given talent
the dude was a natural
Who in gods good name reads one of the greatest songs of all time from a script , and for the first time and still makes it sound like a song from rock and roll heaven !?! Only the king.
What can I say the greatest entertainer of all time.
Elvis had actually recorded that song "Burning Love" in the studio about two weeks prior to this show, but this was the first live concert attempt.
I was thinking the same thing. One take and it's ready to be pressed into vinyl.
2024 and I am listening to Elvis
Same here, but you got to love the guy.
So do I and I always will as long as I am alive
2024 and I am shitting my pants.
ALL DAY every day
WHO would Not Listen to Elvis ? I Know…… the braindead……
His band was out of this world, singers and everything
Only Elvis could make reading the lyrics to a song he’s singing for the first time live in concert look cool.
its called dementia
it's clearly not the first time he sung that.
Fool!

That drummer is KILLLLLING IT
On the drums is ronnie tutt awesome drumming 👍
You are so right! Ronnie Tutt was amazing. Elvis and Ronnie made a great team!!!
@@lanaclerk6371 Ronnie would say the harder he hit the more Elvis would move. They would feed off each other.
his tempo is as tight as a drum, pardon the pun
That Drummer Ronnie Tutt?
Killed IT😎🥳
I love how he took care of his crew and singers (: They said if a venue ever gave them any problems (the backing singers,) then Elvis would have everyone go on to the next location. Said if he couldn’t have his whole band in the building then he wouldn’t perform.
That's why he's the King and will always be !!!
ALL I CAN SAY IS THE GREATEST.
ELVIS PRESLEY ALIVE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................
Music nowadays is not the same . Elvis still lives on in 2023
If it's the 1st time ever or the 1,000 time, No One could ever sing it better. The King forever.
That drummer is RIPPIN!
The whole band Is just amazing.
The greatest man whoever sang a song. Period. Elvis.
Only the king could do that
As much as I want to disagree....I can't really. :)
Nah, No Chuck Berry no Elvis & it goes on & on.
@@markdavids2511 they were talented but elvis had the charisma to be a star

Elvis Presley is a legend that's a fact 💯 ❤❤❤
You are great ELVIS ❤❤❤👑👑👑🎼🎵🎶
Elvis reads the lyrics and takes the song to perfection with his brilliant talent. Just so cool! What a great moment for everyone.
Ele regia tudo com o seu corpo e seu carisma, regia a bateria com seu corpo, lindo demais, amooooo ❤️
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 ur funny but spot on 🤣🤣🤣🎉
he was from another galaxy.sweetheart
Elvis was my first concert in 1976 Notre Dame IN ! Front center floor seats row 7 with my mom and older sister, I was very young single digits...I recall sitting on my moms shoulders reaching out trying to grab one of his scarves! My sister camped out all night to get these tickets! Both my mom and my sister were very fanatic Elvis fans!
The backup singers are quite attractive
Only Elvis could get away with reading the lyrics on stage. That's just one of the many reasons he's THE KING
Well, also the great Sinatra. He’s the king of the late 30s, the whole 40s and early 50s.
@@FrankSinatrqyou keep dreaming buddy. You said so yourself "Great Sinatra". While Elvis is Elvis equivalent to KING.

Elvis leaned on The Sweet Inspirations for confidence. They were there for him.
That piece of paper will be worth millions
Incredible how he whipped himself into shape for the Aloha concert. You'd swear the the years were reversed.
If only he’d have kept himself in shape after that 😢
He actually had already whipped himself into shape just 2 months later for his June 1972 concerts. He looked great on stage at Madison Square Garden.
to see evryone havin fun and enjoyin it just makes me happy:-)
“ Elvis, then and now, the coolest guy that ever lived “.
Absolutely! To me James Bond was a close second, but he is a fictional character. Elvis was real!😊
The best front man rock ever. ..rip king. This man was a god.
I agree with you 👏👏👏
I agree.'69, '70, '71 and '72 it was still a Rock show and Presley was, at this point the greatest performer on earth.
Not a god touched by god
Elvis Presley was not a god. There is only ONE TRUE GOD and he sent his son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sin. I pray Elvis trusted in Jesus as his Savior and I pray you have also.
@@tedharrell4169 he did die. and was reincarnated in a secound birth.
No words to define him...
elvis the king
This is why he is still "The King"!! What a voice. 😇
That smile at 3:20 ..says it all.
There will never be another like him
Fantastic there’s no one has ever been able to match him
Ronnie tutt gave elvis a brand new energy starting in 69
I was blessed to see him in NY 1972
Wow, your a very lucky person, unfortunately I wasn't born till 74 lol a day late and a dollar short for me, 😭
The Inspirations seemed to be enjoying the song even more than Elvis.
Lol
Reportedly, he never liked this song...yet it turned out to be his last really big hit.
@@dashriprock3468 I think it was in the doco Elvis Presley - The Searcher that Priscilla says he wasn't feeling that way (a hunk of burning love) as the split between them was happening
I get the feeling those girls could have fun at an insurance seminar 😁
It looked like they weren't prepared, and had to improvise. Great job.
perfect just perfect - It's ELVIS - I so miss you
This man was better live, no doubt it. His talent was of God's hand and will be the best that ever lived. I am sorry he left our earth but he set out what he wanted to on this earth, and did it. He left a mark that will be forever, and I am glad I was alive to hear him.
This man could sing anything gospel jazz blues country opera r&b I mean everything under the sun!!!!! And sounds good singing it!!!!
Loved that they showed The Sweets & Kathy in the clip awesome what they & the band added to the song
I love how the background vocalists are in there with him.
Well they have too, it's there job.
The king doesn’t stand for half ass-ness

Elvis is God Boy !!!
Blessed with music talent!
I was in at the beginning of his career. The most handsome man I have ever seen with a fantastic voice.
Record company: Hey king, we got this new smash hit that we think you should record for your next record!
Elvis: Great. I'll perform it live at my show tonight!
Record company: Wait... shouldn't you at least listen to the tune and practice singing it one time first?
Elvis: No.
Lol probably exactly how it happened. That's literally how Elvis thought!
Elvis is the greatest ever 👑
Amen.
One of the greatest, not the greatest!

Absolutely the greatest
This man was stressed at the time of this performance as you can see but he is still 1000 times better than any artist that's going today! What does that day about today's music?
His band was spectacular.
Him saying “y’all r a fantastic audience” more than once puts a tear to my eye he didn’t have to go too soon, what a great man he was to his fans and family. Long live the king 👑
Era impressionante, todos os integrantes do time curtiam durante a execução dos shows...!!!
Those people got to hear ELVIS sing a new hit for the first time on stage! Who cares about a damn lyric sheet! I would feel blessed seeing that. It's ELVIS PRESLEY! 👑⚡️
He was awesome in concert! 😉💝
Yessss. And I was there, at this concert. This was in Greensboro NC.
Strangely enough, that song wasn't released to the public until about 3-and-a-half months later (on a 45-rpm single) after this concert.
The band and back up singers are amazing.
A true Entertainer for the WHOLE FAMILY.
ELVIS LIVES IN ALL OF US,ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT !! CANT SAY IT STRONGER THAT !!
ELVIS is always the KING. RIP ELVIS. FRANCE.

Elvis changed the world, and this video is one example of how he did that.
Naw Jesus Christ changed the world! He and he alone!
@@charleswilliams8248 Yes, you are correct...Elvis' response to people calling the the king was "there is only one King" and he pointed to the heavens. Elvis did influence a lot of artists and he helped bridged the gap amongst the races through his music and attitude...don't sell him short...but comparing to Jesus, we all fall short.
You may or may not know, after shows it was common for the musicians to gather in Elvis' suite and stay up all night singing gospel music, he loved Jesus, he wasn't perfect and had his own demons to contend with, but he IS with Jesus now.

The Sweet Inspirations seem to lose audio at the start of this, but as true professionals, they just muddle through wonderfully.
Kathy Westmoreland what a good looking lady and look in her eyes she like everybody else Wow it’s Elvis Love when Elvis does that little shuffle! What a time !
How cool is the king? In concert performing a new jam reading the lyrics!!
It would have been cooler if he knew the lyrics!
Only Elvis can get away with reading the lyrics on a piece of paper. Anybody else would be booed. Long live the king.

What other singer do American Trilogy and go straight into a rock song like this.No one.
Wow this is what Elvis was talking about in the video where he’s saying Tutt kept going on Burning Love.
at the end he said, "if we goofed up, I'm sorry". I can't believe how good that song sounded, he was reading the lyrics off a page. unbelievable, I never saw a band/singer do that before and make it sound like it was 100% intentional.
That track was on the charts and climbing when he passed away. So sad.......
No, the song "Way Down" was on the charts when he passed away...
@@Allen-vl7zq Thats right....
Is shocks me how comfortable he is with this being a new song. He could have played it safe and not done this song but he said "screw it" let's try that new one I'm not 100% on yet. Lol
The Sweet Inspirations what a wonder sound they had!
Omg , Elvis tackled that song so smoothly and his memory for lyrics is amazing!!! His voice never falters and is so smooth!! NO ONE CAN OR WILL COMPARE TO THE KING!!!!
He was reading the lyrics from a sheet! Are all Elvis fans deluded?
@@hawaiiusa6147 He said that he didn’t know the song to well and yet he sang it like he already knew it.
@@DarcyTheManstop No, he was reading from a sheet and he still forgot the lyrics at one point. If he really knew it he would have sung the song without the lyric sheet AND he would have gotten the words correct.
He also messed up the lyrics during the "Aloha" rehearsal on January 12th, 1973 - whilst reading from cue-cards!
