    I went to the zoo with my Canon RP and 5D classic in 2 separate occasions. Other than live view and a blistering AF speed + accuracy, the image quality i produced with both cameras using the same lenses were pretty much on par.

    I've owned a 5Diii and 1Dxii in the past, then switched to Fuji Xt3 and some lenses as I mainly use that for video and photo on the go, but I recently picked up a 5D Classic and already had a 50mm 1.8 since I own a Canon 1N, and I Love the 5D Classic. I think the IQ is still great and it has it's own unique look. I think having a lower megapixel count in a FF sensor really gives the images a unique look even at ISO 600-800 and even 1200. The noise or grain is much less intrusive on minor edits.
    I plan to add an 85mm 1.8 lens I think or maybe an original 70-200mm not sure since I can use it on film and digital we'll see. But it's inexpensive and pretty good.
    Not sure what Firmware I have but I'm rocking a 64g card and only shoot RAW to edit in LR.

    Hi Adam.. nice video and nice to see one of the older cameras out and about still... It is worth noting that with the 16GB CF card you had there.. you need to ensure the 5D is running Firmware 1.1.1 to be able to use it.. otherwise you are restricted to just a 4GB CF card... Just something for people to be aware of!

      @@shepdog_alpha yes, i quite surprised that 5Dc is accepting my 64gb card via adapter. in 2005 64gb is unimaginable yet the camera supports it.

      Mine is on the 1.1.0, how do I install the 1.1.1 file into my 5D classic? I found the old file 1.1.1 for download not on canon site but don’t know how to get it into my camera. If someone could list the update firmware steps I would appreciate it.

    I’ve been looking at 5D MK2s for a while now and was going to pull the trigger on one today. I began researching and discovered the 5D Classic, in part by this video, and weighed my options and decided to go with it instead. Managed to get one for $240 for the Body, EF 50mm 1.8 II, Battery Grip, CF card, two extra batteries and a charger. saved around $270 by not getting the MK2 and saved $90 if i were to have bought all those items separately. Can’t wait to start using it :D

    Full-frame cameras are amazing at taking photos with a really wide-angle lens, and in really low light. So think big, wide, landscape photos during sunrise or sunset. Basically all the shots that turn out the worst from your phone, the big full-frame sensor cameras look incredible.

    The 5D classic rips still. I love the images off of it. It has a unique look to it, can slap some lower quality glass on it and the imperfections dont show nearly as much as its next brother up on a 5Dmk2. Such an awesome camera.

    I love my 5D Classic, it is paired to a pancake 40mm and produces some awesome images. I was going to buy another one last week for $310 but I rather bought a 6D for $410 which is also a great deal!

    I looking forward to buy a camera for photography and livestreaming, photography most of the time, should i buy the a6000 or the 5d mark II?

    • @tarotcaba
      @tarotcaba 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there. I had the a6000 for my Pets' photos and my youtube channel and it is very versatile. But at some point in my life I used to shoot fashion and had a Canon 40d and it was the best camera I ever had in my hands; big, solid as rock and old pentaprism is a total different experience. So for photography I would choose a the Canon 5d you mentioned [I just bought the 5d classic indeed because I want to come back to shooting photos everywhere]. The a6000 is mirrorless and heats much less than a reflex camera when in video. If photography Will be your main thing, go for the full frame

    Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my 5D? It worked fine the other day, but now, when I take a picture, the screen only shows vertical, colored lines. I tried different lenses, batteries, etc... But same results.
    Everything else is working like normal, but every picture just shows the same screen of vertical lines. You can't see the image I took at all.

    Speaking of cameras that are big and beefy, most people don't realize that a heavier camera doesn't need as much stabilization as a tiny light mirrorless camera. I have a Nikon D200 that weighs in at a few pounds and I don't have any problems shooting at low shutter speeds because the thing is built like a heavy rifle. I can go down to 1/8 of a second and not get blur in a lot of cases, sometimes I can go even lower a little bit if I exercise good discipline. I don't even get mirror slap most of the time

    Great video and it’s amazing that you can get an original 5D for dirt cheap these days, BUT... I was basically just waiting for you to use the words "that full frame look" and that’s a really pet peeve of mine because it just doesn’t exist. There are so many factors that go into the kinds of images a camera will typically produce, and depth of field and signal-to-noise ratio are ones that in my opinion you really HAVE to tread separately. Also, there are more than enough APS-C cameras that are decent in low light, greater color depth and dynamic range... put a f1.4 prime lens on there and I challenge you to distinguish that from an older DSLR with an f1.8 prime and equivalent focal length. ...ok, maybe you can. :D I don’t want to pretend like you don’t know your stuff. Just want to point out that I don’t think "the full frame look" is a thing, and it certainly isn’t a style of photography or a specific asthetic. At least that’s where I’m at with this. I’m open to corrections or a debate though! I still got stuff to learn, so I always appreciate that kind of thing. :)
    Hope this didn’t sound to harsh. I love the stuff you do. :)
