Ironically I attempted both Hunter's Path and Dehya's claymore but both times ended up with the other weapon on the banner. I aint gonna lie, Im especially pissed off with Beacon of the Red Sea because it's a pretty good weapon and would have been nice for my Eula.

It would be great if you updated this tier list every time a new 5* character comes out adding their signature. It could be done in a brief segment of the video where you talk about the new character, or just a short video where you talk about the weapon itself. I don't know how much work it would be for you, but I think it sounds nice. Thanks for the content as always!
Yae Miko has to be the most polarising character in Genshin. Despite being the best dps option for both yae and nahida, her weapon still gets crapped on.
I’d move up Skyward and Aquila to solid Signature for the memes and move up Elugy since I think if you have it you’ll always have use for it and it will make a larger impact than other supportive options (other than Key) with how valuable the stats are. Overall I generally agree though.
@@Personpersonpersonperson It might as well be for Bennet, both Skyward and Aqulia are his best in slots. The better built he is the better Aquilla is than Skyward. Mistsplitter is technically better than Aquila on him, but I wouldn't pull Mistsplitter just to put it on Bennet.

@@HerMajestyTsaritsaIsDope Bennet won't prock the passive and in many teams you won't build any crit on him since you want to stack er more and sometimes he'll be on instructor and you'll need every er sub you can get. It's indeed technically better than Aquila since the substat does something but often enough the crit damage substat won't do anything. If you want to play dps bennet you do you though, wouldn't pull Mistsplitter just for him anyway.
@@twigz3214 I'm avare of that, but as you called Aquila as his BIS, compared to it's phyisical dmg second stats, mistsplitter's CD is always better and not only that but it's sub stats are also better option in that regard.. However, if youre ok with losing little ATK, then Skyward Blade is his best option followed by Freedom Sworn, which is good for Buff-Stacking/Support like in vape teams.
Jade cutter on ayato gets even more steonger with cons to where at c3 jade cutter is only 0.5% less damage than his Signature. Altho in reaction based trams like vape, ayato prefers Alhaithams Signiutre, as long as he's got some decent em buffs (Subs, sucrose, c2 kazuha, instructor, Paddle)
For The Catch vs Engulfing lightning argument. While I agree mathematically it may not seem like much of a damage increase, the factor that makes it significantly better, is that it allows you to build more Energy Recharge without losing attack%
I've been doing a lot of Raiden comparisons lately and that's something I see a lot with her weapons. Her build arguably has more moving parts than any other character, and while Catch isn't much below EL given identical artifact sets, EL opens up some different build options that can make it more valuable. Plus the drip is real
@@maevethefox5912Raiden scaling on so many stats makes it so hard to pinpoint those perfect numbers. She wants atk, crit and dmg bonus to do damage but she converts er to lightning dmg, her bis set converts er to burst dmg and her signature converts er to atk. With the way her kit sounds, you’d think you should just build crit and er but due to diminishing returns and the buffs capping, you still want atk and dmg bonus outside the er conversion. Not having engulfing makes it even harder to decide on her build too. You have 5 star crit weapons and the catch to decide between and then an er sands or atk sands depending on which weapon you chose and how much er you already have. Then you have to decide between an atk goblet and lightning goblet but that’s even harder to decide on. Well at least you know you want crit.
i don't understand what's the point of making a weapon that is unobtainable after 3 weeks of it's release ... if u are moving the character u made for to the standard banner either u should move the weapon too or just put it in the limited weapon banner cycle ... it's just dumb...
In the comparison of Jade sword vs Mistplitter I think the extra CR, low base atk and extra damage on based HP is not comparable in most cases to having plain 12% Elemental dmg bonus, higher CD and a passive that you can at least get 1/2 stacks in most character. Maybe the exceptions would be on characters that scale on HP (Furtina), EM (Alhaitham) or characters with split scaling where the high critrate may be better. In any case I would put both in the same tier, probably in god rolls.
Mist being a big deal only applys to Ayaka. otherwise for alot of character it actually lose to 2 stack mist and has a significant larger gap unless you got ways to maintain 3 stack forever. I do agree it the best weapon if your goal is damage per screenshot. For Keqing and as an owner of both PJC and Mist. I don't feel any difference between both weapon. thou Mist is better for crit fishing for speedrunning than PJC. PJC is overall actually better for aggravate keqing because keqing only aggravates on 1/3 hit. and if that hit that aggravates fails to crit. you are losing alot. Again mist still wins if you resetting for crit with low crate. Also do not underestimate the atk you get from PJC passive. So far Keqing and Jean actually makes use of PJC passive the best due to their higher base hp.
Is Skyward Harp best in slot for Kujo Sara? I know she's a niche character at best, but the high base attack is huge for her buffs and the Crit buffs help take her personal damage from negligible to fairly significant, especially at c6. I know she and Fischl fight really hard over it all the time.
Elegy is best in slot for Kujo actually. You can use Kujo is aggravate and hypercarry teams and you will benefit from both the EM and attack bonus. For example Kazuha will trigger overloads and swirls in a hyper carry comp while Raiden will benefit from the 20% attack boost. Kujo is also very hungry for energy even when paired with Raiden. I also use Elegy on my c6 Kujo Sara, c2 Raiden, c0 Jean, c1 Furina team. I have also used it in aggravate teams when using a hypercarry electro dps.
Skyward Harp is BiS for Sara so no, saying "it has no clear character where it's the best options" is outright wrong. Sara is a niche character only shining in one team but that single team is ridiculously strong and Skyward Harp makes noticeable difference there. However I agree it belongs in versatile pull tier. I don't understand why Hunter's Path and Great Magic are so high while Elegy is so low. Neither Lyney nor Tighnari are important characters and other bow characters have plenty of other weapons to choose from, slightly better ones. Meanwhile Elegy is crucial for many comps and useful on more units, not just damage dealers.
considering its a list about if its worth to pull or not and not an actual power tier list i would instantly put every standard non limited on bruh tier, even skyward harp. dont pull for non limited weapons people, especially considering that even skyward harp, which is considered the best standard, is usable on a lot of characters but not optimal on anyone. if you want a versatile weapon that is optimal on someone (even close to optimal on multiple) then go for aqua. maybe the single one you should consider is jade spear if you are a xiao main, but id still consider homa to be the superior pick, its slightly worse on xiao sure, but its much better on everyone else, also limited.
Ugh.. i pulled on the Weapon Banner where Jade Cutter and Key Of Khaj-Nisut were featured.. And what did i got? Skyward Blade.. Also had no more Primos since i pulled and got Nilou. That was a dark day indeed even tough i got Nilou. (
couldnt agree more with the ppl saying elegy shouldve been higher. it is argueably the best 5star weapon srsly. u can use it on so many chars and the buff is ridiculous and jade cutter over mist is also questionable, imo theyre on the same tier. the rest is fine.
Wolf's Gravestone is a pretty good claymore, mainly because there arent very many 5* Claymores to begin with. Yeah SS at R5 is amazing (if you have a shield) but not everyone is gonna R5 a BP weapon, not to mention some of us dislike how it looks (Seriously why does it look like an inflatable toy?)
As someone who basically has every 5* weapon at R5, I'd only put 3 weapons in S tier - SoSS (the EM to ATK conversion is just broken when you have EM buffers on the team like an R5 Elegy holder; if you can manage to reach 1k EM the passive can give you almost 3k ATK), Key of Khaj-Nisut (it can give the entire team as much as 350+ EM, which is just insane in a team with multiple EM scaling characters), and Elegy (+200 EM and 40% ATK for the entire team which is ridiculous as there are basically no other support bows besides Fav Warbow. Freedom Sworn at least have a lot of other swords as competition). Weapons that can significantly increase the team DPS ceiling are the best. Weapons like Aqua and Jade Cutter are just mid in comparison as they just work for a lot of characters and they don't break the DPS ceiling in any way.
What kind of calcs were you using for Raiden? Raiden mains put it 17% over Catch in unbuffed scenario, 11% above Catch in buffed scenario. Keqing mains state it's 15% stronger than Catch. General consensus has always been it's 10-20% better than alternatives which is one of better performances for signature weapon. You however are somehow claiming it's only 7%? Trying to imply The Catch has any sort of impact on Engulfing's pulling value is also incredibly wrong because there's only one Catch and it's better to use it on Xiangling than Raiden if you have to choose. Scarlet Sands IS NOT better than Engulfing. It CAN be better DEPENDING on team. In some teams like Overvape + Sucrose, Engulfing is 15% stronger than Scarlet Sands on Xiangling. Same for Rosaria. Engulfing is also an amazing weapon to use on Zhongli (by the way Vortex doesn't deserve being put in average 4*, it's worse than a bunch of 4 stars).
Pulse is definitely a bit better than solid, 20% atk, high base damage and great crit value makes it at least as versatile as Skyward Harp yet it's still a whole tier below. Also I'm not sure why you didn't at least mention how the presence of Furina in teams make Marechausse the best option for their on-fielder, making PJC and SoSS's crit rate quite often excessive.

I also run a D&D Campaign which is inspired by Genshin Combat System... that's why I love this game a little more than usual 😂I literally double check if you have uploaded every day 😓 You and Jello are the only Genshin TH-camrs I watch xd
I think using serpent spine R5 as the measuring stick for claymores is fair. It's probably the best damage oriented 4 star in the game and it costs 50 bucks and 7 months to acquire.
BP weapons shouldn't be treated as 4 stars, they are generally higher power level than real 4 star weapons and they are paywalled behind BP so they are more difficult (=impossible) to get than 5 star weapons if you don't spend money. Comparing the value of a 5 star weapon to something you can literally never get is meaningless and hides the real value of that 5 star.
Elegy should be the god tier roll. It's an amazing support weapon at any level of investments, fits many team, and is an actual blessing if you happen to have 2 Elegy. I'd argue that Aqua is an overrated weapon. It's amazing on Yelan with a caveat, and it's so much worse on other attack scaling characters if they don't run Bennett or other buffers.
Some of these surprised me. I always thought Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter were on par with maybe even Mistsplitter edging it out. I guess with the increase of HP% scalers now it's passive isn't as underwhelming any more, and with Furina's buffs elemental DMG% is not as hard to come by. I'm thinking about trying for Mistsplitter coming up but now you made me doubt myself lol. Is it top tier for anyone but Ayaka and Keqing? I would prob rather have Jade Cutter but the damn thing just never runs lol. I was expecting the Key, and the damn thing has dodged me twice. Scarlet above Homa was also a surprise. Sad, that is one of the ugliest weapons in the game. Thankfully I already have more spears than I know what to do with, so I wasn't tempted by this banner. Verdict is on par with R5 Serpent? Only on Benny teams right? Aquila is definitely not even high end 4* imo. Skyward is just straight up better because it allows you to build damage on Benny, and if you only care about high base ATK there's R1 Alley Flash which is what I use lol.
I think more characters have jade cutter as their 2nd best option after their signatures over misplitter which is why he ranks it higher. I mean Ayaka/Keqing are the best use cases of misplitter, but even then, his chart showed that misplitter was only 1% better than jade cutter, basically irevelant.
@@ugotmybeefWith ayaka mistsplitter is like 15% better. His charts also don't include the fact that you will run a lot of characters with furina now, so with MH + JC you will overcap on crit rate, which makes crit rate rolls a dead stat.
Alhaitham can use Mistsplitter if you don't have Foliar or Jade Cutter. It's tied with Haran as his 3rd best weapon. He can stack/maintain the passive just as easily as Ayaka and Keqing. I wasn't able to get Foliar or Jade and I don't have Ayato, so my Alhaitham uses Mistsplitter.
5:38 yeah imagine using weapon with crit main stats when you get so many crit rate from (ascension)24.2%+(Marechaussee Hunter)+36%+(cryo infused e.skill)20%=70.2%+(cashflow)22.1%=92.3% like what you supposed to roll crit dmg%, atk% and flat atk? in feather you can't roll flat atk, in sand(opti. goblet) you can't roll atk% and head with full atk%? so it's just weird to use cashflow instead of tullah
my only limited 5 star weapon pulls I’ve gotten in three years of this game have been aqua, scarlet sands and reforged so I feel like I have a pretty good average :D
tierlists are 99% personal opinion and 1% actual facts, given that you do a lot of research and by that have a pretty good idea of the actual i'd say this tierlist is 5% actual facts and 95% personal opinion.
keep in mind mihoyo also knows what the good weapons are and pairs them with niche garbage weapons. like mistsplitter has now been paired with navias axe and last time it was calamity queller.
staff of homa is pretty mediocre unless you have hu tao and i guess Zhongli but he's usually just a shield bot. although i will admit yelans first banner with venti was crazy. thats probably the best 5 star weapon banner we have ever had.@@tavinhoo

I remember being so upset when on the Elegy+Homa banner I went to 3 pities to get Homa. On my way there I got a Skyward Blade and an Elegy. Useless garbage, I thought. 3 years later I use those weapons daily and my Homa is stuck on Hu Tao who I don't even play anymore, same with the Mistsplitter I pulled for Ayaka. Guess support weapons are much more worth it in the end.
Finny that all the weapons you put in God Roll tier were all "losses" for me (except Jade Cutter). I was trying to go for the other weapon on the banner and would get 2 copies of the "lost" weapons before either giving up or going for the empitomized path. I now own R3 Aqua, R2 Key and R2 Scarlett... 😂
Xiangling has multiple different teams with wildly varying performance of different weapons. Scarlet Sands are technically the best in most of the teams but they're only marginally (seriously, 1%) better than alternatives like Engulfing, Homa. There are some teams where Engulfing is much better than anything and Kitain can be better than most of 5* in some teams.
The only thing Id disagree with is elegy placing as low as freedom sworn while key is two tiers above it. Imo elegy is much closer to key than to freedom sworn id put it at least in amazing sig + versatility tier.
let's say you put the staff of scarlet sand on xiangling, how should her artifact be like do you go full em build or em sand + pyro goblet + crit circlet? How much em can you stack on her this way and also she has energy recharge needs I just don't know how to make the em passive work because I don't end up with much EM on her
and also if you put emblem of severed fate on her it encourages you to use ER sand so I really don't know how to get enough em to make scarlet sand good on her
FGM and Elegy probably should go up a tier but everything is pretty darn accurate. FGM is just absurdly strong the more we use it especially Ganyu mains. Thing turned into her hands down BIS weapon taking the place of Aqua.
Very nice list! I liked the bold (but well-justified with recent meta changes) decision to actually promote Pink Donut to usable. I'd consider putting Elegy above Harp in their 3rd tier, since Harp's been upstaged as the generalist DPS option by Aqua, while Elegy is still the best support+ER pick. But that's just nitty-gritty and me being an Elegy simp, lol. I'm happy to find out I'm an owner of 3/4 of the top tier weapons, and SoSS that I'm missing I have no user for (without going back to RNG hell for XL ER sands). My next goal is Neuvi's Tome, hopefully with a side of Kagura for Yae or Freedom-Sworn, but I'm in no hurry if the banner turns out bad for me. He's doing very well with just Proto-Amber.

I think that Lost Prayers deserve to be in Great Versatile pull since they are pretty good on a lot of characters like Wanderer, Klee, Yanfei, etc. All the other catalysts above Lost Prayers are more niche: Cashflow and Neuvillette's signature require Furina for their passives to work (if they are not on Wriothesley or Neuvillette), Kagura wants you to use a lot of elemental skills, Nahida 's signature has a more niche (compared to Lost Prayers) EM mainstat, and the Bell, Cashflow and Neuvillette's signature want you to do normal attacks. Nahida's signature and aside, all the other weapons (Kagura also kinda does) require something that means "being on-field and something else", while the only thing that Lost Prayers want is being on-field. So the ease of usage, a good mainstat and the free-to-play-ness (you always get it unintentionally) make it worth putting in Great Versatile pull.
Lost Prayer has awful passive. Requires time to stack up and disappears when you leave the field. Skyward Atlas is actually better than it in many scenarios, if you can get enough crit from artifacts.
@@Progeusz You can't do charge attacks or normal attacks or 3 E skills off-field too! There are more ways to get attack than to get Crit, so Crit is more useful, therefore Lost Prayer is better than Atlas. Besides, some characters don't scale with attack, like Neuvillette.

Nice list, tho I would raise Elegy to god pull and lower Aqua to great signature. Aqua isn’t even Yelan’s bis on a reaction team (KQM calcs show elegy is better for vape or dendro) so it’s really just a big stat stick or for c6 Yelan enjoyers while elegy you can slap on Amber and get great team results.
it hugely depends on the reaction teams and those calcs were largely pre furina, who increases yelan's dmg through burst and makes increasing her own output more relevant. Also calcs don't account for the fact that yelan provides a lot of frontload in rotations through E skill(s) and burst, all magnified by aqua very signficantly

You can't even get r5 battle pass catalyst for next 3 months so putting it up as a comparison is very dishonest. Not to mention a lot of people aren't buying battle pass anymore because they're either f2p or long time players and battle pass doesn't offer anything of value to them anymore. Neuvillette's signature weapon is the number one strongest signature in terms of performance vs alternatives.
I think you should have mentioned that both Sac Jade and Wolf-fang R5 are as good as their signatures for both Neuvi and Alhaitham for that reason I would put them a bit lower, besides that I would value both Elegy and Freedom a lot higher for being general support weapons
Disagree with the nilou weapon. Its not that good other than nilou. Other characters like furina you mention there are better options like festering desire. Also if elegy is not at the top then nilous weapon should also be not at the top.
@@Progeusz except kuki non of those characters are meta. Also I have seen no one using that on kuki. It's a good option not best option. Better to use an em 4* weapon on her. (Telling that from watching millions of kuki guides)
@@abhishekbhattacharyya2950 so what if Layla/Kirara are not meta? Nilou and Kuki ARE meta. If you haven't seen anyone using Key on Kuki it means you haven't done proper research. You're completely WRONG about em 4* swords being better. Key provides A LOT more EM than 4* swords if Kuki is c4 (En1Q for 3 stacks) and still a high amount below c4 (EQ for 2 stacks) while increasing her healing potential by ridiculous amount.
@@abhishekbhattacharyya2950 3 stacks of Key at 40k HP are 224 EM. At 50k HP, 280 EM. Key Kuki should fall in that range. Key also buffs party EM by ~90. Pathetic 4* swords only provide 165 EM to Kuki.
@@Progeusz ok bro I just did some research and let me tell you , I didn't say it's a bad weapon but this weapon is placed in sss tier where staff of homa and not even elegy is not placed. Do you think that weapon is that great compare to those two weapon?? Also for kuki you have to be on field to get all 3 stacks which is not a problem on solo hyperbloom teams but in teams like alhaithrm / nahida quickbloom it messes the rotation. Also overall the DMG is higher but not higher enough compare to other weapons (5* 4* comparison). So do you think only for nilou and kuki this weapon becomes better than elegy and staff of homa? Are you serious? Hyperbloom is already strong enough in f2p investment.
Did you mean Skyward Spine? It's very similar to Catch on Raiden (lower damage but the aspd helps with some combos) so what you can do is give Catch to Xiangling while Raiden uses Skyward Spine.
Skyward Spine and R5 catch are crazy close in terms of burst dmg. But if you like using your Raiden on-field, spine is obv stronger for her skill whereas the catch's boost is burst only. Like Progeusz said, if you have Spine and have it leveled, it's a better choice for Raiden and will only free up the Catch for another character.
Its straight up better for Bennett's attack buffing. Only reason you'd pick Fav is if you are also trying to have Bennett battery the team but honestly Skyward is an upgrade.
You'd nearly always be better just putting the highest base attack sword you have on Bennet and giving him a lot of er subs, as his burst only scales with base attack so his base attack and er are the only stats that matter. Fav can have niche usage on him but I wouldn't recommend it generally.
i think skyward pride should be higher due to being standard and great for shenhe being highest base atk with er% ; sure you could use engulfing but it's a standard you will likely just have laying around; i've got more use out of it than wolf's gravestone
You'd be better off with Fav on Shenhe, it also has high base attack for a 4 star and the extra energy for your cyro dps saving them er does more than the extra attack on Skyward Pride. If you do a good rotation with Ayaka you can also get fav twice per rotation at high refine.
Good list, worth mentioning I have many cannon fivestars on their respectives characters with optimal stats, so in that context all of those are S/S+ tier in my account, for example I have Calamity Queller on my Shenhe with 3.5K Atk Noblesse 50/100 Crt 180% ER, so it is doing just fine.
My current Alhaitham team is designed aroumd maxing out LoFI's ability, 369 base em, 50 from dendro resonance, 120 from Instructor set, 250 from Nahida, 42 from R2 A Thousand Floating Dreams, whatever i get from Key of Khaj Nisut on Kuki, and 50 from Gilded Dreams because im using Baizhu for 40% spread damage bonus as well as being an emergency healer because Kuki often isnt enough in abyss, so Alhaitham goes from 369 to 1,00+ em
Genuinely asking how Aqua is supposedly better than Amos in Melt for Ganyu. I’ve tested both for her arrow and bloom damage in a few different teams with both attack sands and em sands (attack sands has higher crit value), shenhe, double pyro zhongli, sunfire, c2 kazuha freedom sworn and xithos/fav, and Amos has come out on top every time for her frostflake arrow damage. Mine has 185 EM with attack sands, but still, what are you guys doing to get higher damage without Amos? Does Bennett need instructor?
most times substats generally play a big part in determing which weapon is better. Theory crafters have to use a certain artifact threshold to determine which weapon is better, but your results can depend on your artifact substats. For example, keqing mains has engulfing 14% better over the catch but when I used the akasha weapon rankings, catch was only 3.25% worse than engulfing.
if ur atk sand had higher dmg than em sand then im going to tell u that your meltyu build just suck. your stats may even be lower than KQMS which is already low.

I’d move up Skyward and Aquila to solid Signature for the memes and move up Elugy since I think if you have it you’ll always have use for it and it will make a larger impact than other supportive options (other than Key) with how valuable the stats are. Overall I generally agree though.

It's indeed technically better than Aquila since the substat does something but often enough the crit damage substat won't do anything. If you want to play dps bennet you do you though, wouldn't pull Mistsplitter just for him anyway.

However, if youre ok with losing little ATK, then Skyward Blade is his best option followed by Freedom Sworn, which is good for Buff-Stacking/Support like in vape teams.
Jade cutter on ayato gets even more steonger with cons to where at c3 jade cutter is only 0.5% less damage than his Signature. Altho in reaction based trams like vape, ayato prefers Alhaithams Signiutre, as long as he's got some decent em buffs (Subs, sucrose, c2 kazuha, instructor, Paddle)

For The Catch vs Engulfing lightning argument. While I agree mathematically it may not seem like much of a damage increase, the factor that makes it significantly better, is that it allows you to build more Energy Recharge without losing attack%
I've been doing a lot of Raiden comparisons lately and that's something I see a lot with her weapons.
Her build arguably has more moving parts than any other character, and while Catch isn't much below EL given identical artifact sets, EL opens up some different build options that can make it more valuable.

She wants atk, crit and dmg bonus to do damage but she converts er to lightning dmg, her bis set converts er to burst dmg and her signature converts er to atk. With the way her kit sounds, you’d think you should just build crit and er but due to diminishing returns and the buffs capping, you still want atk and dmg bonus outside the er conversion. Not having engulfing makes it even harder to decide on her build too. You have 5 star crit weapons and the catch to decide between and then an er sands or atk sands depending on which weapon you chose and how much er you already have. Then you have to decide between an atk goblet and lightning goblet but that’s even harder to decide on. Well at least you know you want crit.

I’d argue that Baizhu’s signature weapon belongs in Average 4* because it’s a decently good weapon on Neuvillette and onfield Kokomi
In the comparison of Jade sword vs Mistplitter I think the extra CR, low base atk and extra damage on based HP is not comparable in most cases to having plain 12% Elemental dmg bonus, higher CD and a passive that you can at least get 1/2 stacks in most character. Maybe the exceptions would be on characters that scale on HP (Furtina), EM (Alhaitham) or characters with split scaling where the high critrate may be better.
In any case I would put both in the same tier, probably in god rolls.
Mist being a big deal only applys to Ayaka.
otherwise for alot of character it actually lose to 2 stack mist and has a significant larger gap unless you got ways to maintain 3 stack forever. I do agree it the best weapon if your goal is damage per screenshot.
For Keqing and as an owner of both PJC and Mist. I don't feel any difference between both weapon. thou Mist is better for crit fishing for speedrunning than PJC. PJC is overall actually better for aggravate keqing because keqing only aggravates on 1/3 hit. and if that hit that aggravates fails to crit. you are losing alot. Again mist still wins if you resetting for crit with low crate.
Also do not underestimate the atk you get from PJC passive. So far Keqing and Jean actually makes use of PJC passive the best due to their higher base hp.
Is Skyward Harp best in slot for Kujo Sara?
I know she's a niche character at best, but the high base attack is huge for her buffs and the Crit buffs help take her personal damage from negligible to fairly significant, especially at c6.
I know she and Fischl fight really hard over it all the time.
Elegy is best in slot for Kujo actually. You can use Kujo is aggravate and hypercarry teams and you will benefit from both the EM and attack bonus. For example Kazuha will trigger overloads and swirls in a hyper carry comp while Raiden will benefit from the 20% attack boost. Kujo is also very hungry for energy even when paired with Raiden. I also use Elegy on my c6 Kujo Sara, c2 Raiden, c0 Jean, c1 Furina team. I have also used it in aggravate teams when using a hypercarry electro dps.
Skyward Harp is BiS for Sara so no, saying "it has no clear character where it's the best options" is outright wrong. Sara is a niche character only shining in one team but that single team is ridiculously strong and Skyward Harp makes noticeable difference there. However I agree it belongs in versatile pull tier.
I don't understand why Hunter's Path and Great Magic are so high while Elegy is so low. Neither Lyney nor Tighnari are important characters and other bow characters have plenty of other weapons to choose from, slightly better ones. Meanwhile Elegy is crucial for many comps and useful on more units, not just damage dealers.
considering its a list about if its worth to pull or not and not an actual power tier list i would instantly put every standard non limited on bruh tier, even skyward harp. dont pull for non limited weapons people, especially considering that even skyward harp, which is considered the best standard, is usable on a lot of characters but not optimal on anyone. if you want a versatile weapon that is optimal on someone (even close to optimal on multiple) then go for aqua. maybe the single one you should consider is jade spear if you are a xiao main, but id still consider homa to be the superior pick, its slightly worse on xiao sure, but its much better on everyone else, also limited.

Wolf's Gravestone is a pretty good claymore, mainly because there arent very many 5* Claymores to begin with.
Yeah SS at R5 is amazing (if you have a shield) but not everyone is gonna R5 a BP weapon, not to mention some of us dislike how it looks

As someone who basically has every 5* weapon at R5, I'd only put 3 weapons in S tier - SoSS (the EM to ATK conversion is just broken when you have EM buffers on the team like an R5 Elegy holder; if you can manage to reach 1k EM the passive can give you almost 3k ATK), Key of Khaj-Nisut (it can give the entire team as much as 350+ EM, which is just insane in a team with multiple EM scaling characters), and Elegy (+200 EM and 40% ATK for the entire team which is ridiculous as there are basically no other support bows besides Fav Warbow. Freedom Sworn at least have a lot of other swords as competition).
Weapons that can significantly increase the team DPS ceiling are the best. Weapons like Aqua and Jade Cutter are just mid in comparison as they just work for a lot of characters and they don't break the DPS ceiling in any way.
What kind of calcs were you using for Raiden? Raiden mains put it 17% over Catch in unbuffed scenario, 11% above Catch in buffed scenario. Keqing mains state it's 15% stronger than Catch. General consensus has always been it's 10-20% better than alternatives which is one of better performances for signature weapon. You however are somehow claiming it's only 7%?
Trying to imply The Catch has any sort of impact on Engulfing's pulling value is also incredibly wrong because there's only one Catch and it's better to use it on Xiangling than Raiden if you have to choose.
Scarlet Sands IS NOT better than Engulfing. It CAN be better DEPENDING on team. In some teams like Overvape + Sucrose, Engulfing is 15% stronger than Scarlet Sands on Xiangling. Same for Rosaria. Engulfing is also an amazing weapon to use on Zhongli (by the way Vortex doesn't deserve being put in average 4*, it's worse than a bunch of 4 stars).
Pulse is definitely a bit better than solid, 20% atk, high base damage and great crit value makes it at least as versatile as Skyward Harp yet it's still a whole tier below.
Also I'm not sure why you didn't at least mention how the presence of Furina in teams make Marechausse the best option for their on-fielder, making PJC and SoSS's crit rate quite often excessive.

I think using serpent spine R5 as the measuring stick for claymores is fair. It's probably the best damage oriented 4 star in the game and it costs 50 bucks and 7 months to acquire.
BP weapons shouldn't be treated as 4 stars, they are generally higher power level than real 4 star weapons and they are paywalled behind BP so they are more difficult (=impossible) to get than 5 star weapons if you don't spend money. Comparing the value of a 5 star weapon to something you can literally never get is meaningless and hides the real value of that 5 star.

Elegy should be the god tier roll. It's an amazing support weapon at any level of investments, fits many team, and is an actual blessing if you happen to have 2 Elegy. I'd argue that Aqua is an overrated weapon. It's amazing on Yelan with a caveat, and it's so much worse on other attack scaling characters if they don't run Bennett or other buffers.
Some of these surprised me. I always thought Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter were on par with maybe even Mistsplitter edging it out. I guess with the increase of HP% scalers now it's passive isn't as underwhelming any more, and with Furina's buffs elemental DMG% is not as hard to come by. I'm thinking about trying for Mistsplitter coming up but now you made me doubt myself lol. Is it top tier for anyone but Ayaka and Keqing? I would prob rather have Jade Cutter but the damn thing just never runs lol.
I was expecting the Key, and the damn thing has dodged me twice. Scarlet above Homa was also a surprise. Sad, that is one of the ugliest weapons in the game. Thankfully I already have more spears than I know what to do with, so I wasn't tempted by this banner.
Verdict is on par with R5 Serpent? Only on Benny teams right? Aquila is definitely not even high end 4* imo. Skyward is just straight up better because it allows you to build damage on Benny, and if you only care about high base ATK there's R1 Alley Flash which is what I use lol.
I think more characters have jade cutter as their 2nd best option after their signatures over misplitter which is why he ranks it higher. I mean Ayaka/Keqing are the best use cases of misplitter, but even then, his chart showed that misplitter was only 1% better than jade cutter, basically irevelant.

His charts also don't include the fact that you will run a lot of characters with furina now, so with MH + JC you will overcap on crit rate, which makes crit rate rolls a dead stat.
Alhaitham can use Mistsplitter if you don't have Foliar or Jade Cutter. It's tied with Haran as his 3rd best weapon. He can stack/maintain the passive just as easily as Ayaka and Keqing. I wasn't able to get Foliar or Jade and I don't have Ayato, so my Alhaitham uses Mistsplitter.

I remember being so upset when on the Elegy+Homa banner I went to 3 pities to get Homa. On my way there I got a Skyward Blade and an Elegy. Useless garbage, I thought. 3 years later I use those weapons daily and my Homa is stuck on Hu Tao who I don't even play anymore, same with the Mistsplitter I pulled for Ayaka.
Guess support weapons are much more worth it in the end.
Support weapons (favs, key, elegy, floating dream, freedom sworn) should be at the 2nd tier at least due to their versatility
I use Elegy on Yelan on hyperbloom and its really good.
Finny that all the weapons you put in God Roll tier were all "losses" for me (except Jade Cutter). I was trying to go for the other weapon on the banner and would get 2 copies of the "lost" weapons before either giving up or going for the empitomized path.

Xiangling has multiple different teams with wildly varying performance of different weapons. Scarlet Sands are technically the best in most of the teams but they're only marginally (seriously, 1%) better than alternatives like Engulfing, Homa. There are some teams where Engulfing is much better than anything and Kitain can be better than most of 5* in some teams.

The only thing Id disagree with is elegy placing as low as freedom sworn while key is two tiers above it. Imo elegy is much closer to key than to freedom sworn id put it at least in amazing sig + versatility tier.

let's say you put the staff of scarlet sand on xiangling, how should her artifact be like do you go full em build or em sand + pyro goblet + crit circlet? How much em can you stack on her this way and also she has energy recharge needs I just don't know how to make the em passive work because I don't end up with much EM on her
and also if you put emblem of severed fate on her it encourages you to use ER sand so I really don't know how to get enough em to make scarlet sand good on her

FGM and Elegy probably should go up a tier but everything is pretty darn accurate. FGM is just absurdly strong the more we use it especially Ganyu mains. Thing turned into her hands down BIS weapon taking the place of Aqua.

Very nice list! I liked the bold (but well-justified with recent meta changes) decision to actually promote Pink Donut to usable. I'd consider putting Elegy above Harp in their 3rd tier, since Harp's been upstaged as the generalist DPS option by Aqua, while Elegy is still the best support+ER pick. But that's just nitty-gritty and me being an Elegy simp, lol.
I'm happy to find out I'm an owner of 3/4 of the top tier weapons, and SoSS that I'm missing I have no user for (without going back to RNG hell for XL ER sands).
My next goal is Neuvi's Tome, hopefully with a side of Kagura for Yae or Freedom-Sworn, but I'm in no hurry if the banner turns out bad for me. He's doing very well with just Proto-Amber.

I think that Lost Prayers deserve to be in Great Versatile pull since they are pretty good on a lot of characters like Wanderer, Klee, Yanfei, etc. All the other catalysts above Lost Prayers are more niche: Cashflow and Neuvillette's signature require Furina for their passives to work (if they are not on Wriothesley or Neuvillette), Kagura wants you to use a lot of elemental skills, Nahida 's signature has a more niche (compared to Lost Prayers) EM mainstat, and the Bell, Cashflow and Neuvillette's signature want you to do normal attacks. Nahida's signature and aside, all the other weapons (Kagura also kinda does) require something that means "being on-field and something else", while the only thing that Lost Prayers want is being on-field. So the ease of usage, a good mainstat and the free-to-play-ness (you always get it unintentionally) make it worth putting in Great Versatile pull.
Lost Prayer has awful passive. Requires time to stack up and disappears when you leave the field. Skyward Atlas is actually better than it in many scenarios, if you can get enough crit from artifacts.

There are more ways to get attack than to get Crit, so Crit is more useful, therefore Lost Prayer is better than Atlas. Besides, some characters don't scale with attack, like Neuvillette.

Aqua isn’t even Yelan’s bis on a reaction team (KQM calcs show elegy is better for vape or dendro) so it’s really just a big stat stick or for c6 Yelan enjoyers while elegy you can slap on Amber and get great team results.
it hugely depends on the reaction teams and those calcs were largely pre furina, who increases yelan's dmg through burst and makes increasing her own output more relevant. Also calcs don't account for the fact that yelan provides a lot of frontload in rotations through E skill(s) and burst, all magnified by aqua very signficantly

Neuvillette's signature weapon is the number one strongest signature in terms of performance vs alternatives.

I think you should have mentioned that both Sac Jade and Wolf-fang R5 are as good as their signatures for both Neuvi and Alhaitham for that reason I would put them a bit lower, besides that I would value both Elegy and Freedom a lot higher for being general support weapons
They're not as good as the signatures, both those bp weapons are around 10% worse at r5

Disagree with the nilou weapon. Its not that good other than nilou. Other characters like furina you mention there are better options like festering desire. Also if elegy is not at the top then nilous weapon should also be not at the top.
Key is BY FAR the best option for Kuki, Layla, Kirara. It isn't just for Nilou.

If you haven't seen anyone using Key on Kuki it means you haven't done proper research.
You're completely WRONG about em 4* swords being better. Key provides A LOT more EM than 4* swords if Kuki is c4 (En1Q for 3 stacks) and still a high amount below c4 (EQ for 2 stacks) while increasing her healing potential by ridiculous amount.

Did you mean Skyward Spine? It's very similar to Catch on Raiden (lower damage but the aspd helps with some combos) so what you can do is give Catch to Xiangling while Raiden uses Skyward Spine.
Skyward Spine and R5 catch are crazy close in terms of burst dmg. But if you like using your Raiden on-field, spine is obv stronger for her skill whereas the catch's boost is burst only. Like Progeusz said, if you have Spine and have it leveled, it's a better choice for Raiden and will only free up the Catch for another character.

Is it worth running Skyward Blade over Fav on Bennett?
Its straight up better for Bennett's attack buffing. Only reason you'd pick Fav is if you are also trying to have Bennett battery the team but honestly Skyward is an upgrade.
You'd nearly always be better just putting the highest base attack sword you have on Bennet and giving him a lot of er subs, as his burst only scales with base attack so his base attack and er are the only stats that matter. Fav can have niche usage on him but I wouldn't recommend it generally.
Glad to see Staff of the Scarlet Sands so high it really is amazing simply for that juicy 44% CR alone

i think skyward pride should be higher due to being standard and great for shenhe being highest base atk with er% ; sure you could use engulfing but it's a standard you will likely just have laying around; i've got more use out of it than wolf's gravestone
You'd be better off with Fav on Shenhe, it also has high base attack for a 4 star and the extra energy for your cyro dps saving them er does more than the extra attack on Skyward Pride. If you do a good rotation with Ayaka you can also get fav twice per rotation at high refine.
Good list, worth mentioning I have many cannon fivestars on their respectives characters with optimal stats, so in that context all of those are S/S+ tier in my account, for example I have Calamity Queller on my Shenhe with 3.5K Atk Noblesse 50/100 Crt 180% ER, so it is doing just fine.
Imo freedom sworn should be on top , it's versatile+ gives good atk buffs too
My current Alhaitham team is designed aroumd maxing out LoFI's ability, 369 base em, 50 from dendro resonance, 120 from Instructor set, 250 from Nahida, 42 from R2 A Thousand Floating Dreams, whatever i get from Key of Khaj Nisut on Kuki, and 50 from Gilded Dreams because im using Baizhu for 40% spread damage bonus as well as being an emergency healer because Kuki often isnt enough in abyss, so Alhaitham goes from 369 to 1,00+ em

Genuinely asking how Aqua is supposedly better than Amos in Melt for Ganyu. I’ve tested both for her arrow and bloom damage in a few different teams with both attack sands and em sands (attack sands has higher crit value), shenhe, double pyro zhongli, sunfire, c2 kazuha freedom sworn and xithos/fav, and Amos has come out on top every time for her frostflake arrow damage. Mine has 185 EM with attack sands, but still, what are you guys doing to get higher damage without Amos? Does Bennett need instructor?
most times substats generally play a big part in determing which weapon is better. Theory crafters have to use a certain artifact threshold to determine which weapon is better, but your results can depend on your artifact substats. For example, keqing mains has engulfing 14% better over the catch but when I used the akasha weapon rankings, catch was only 3.25% worse than engulfing.
if ur atk sand had higher dmg than em sand then im going to tell u that your meltyu build just suck. your stats may even be lower than KQMS which is already low.
