Yeah. One of those films where you think of absolutely nothing else when you're watching it. Movies about college are always interesting because you see folks just starting their adult lives. Their dreams, aspirations, desires and obsessions are a great example for other people trying to find their way. Great ending to a tragic story. They jubilation was heart warming because they got their team back, and that's all that mattered. They are battling the whole movie to get back to where the school was before the fateful crash.
Team would lose the most games in the country over the decade. Barely 20 years later they were national champions and would produce an NFL hall of fame receiver
When we saw this at the movies the whole crowd was crying when the ball was in the air and it showed the flashbacks and also when Red sat down alone in the empty lockerroom and started crying.
@@Bull1908 That I don't know. I do know he was actually in the movie. He was one of the opposing coaches on the other side of the field. They cut to him for a bit in the movie.
I remember one of the players came to our school after we watched the movie. Coolest, most down to earth guy I’ve met so far, it’s a shame that everyone was an asshole middle schooler

My heart broke for nate the entire film, to lose your closest friends in such a tragic way takes its toll

I lived here then and now. It tore the area up. Many families lost both parents. The sadness lasted a long time for sure. 😢❤

A powerful production with a poignant message....you can recover from anything, even the most horrific, unimaginable tragic circumstances.
