Was a student at Long Beach State in 1988-1991. These guys would regularly play free shows at The Nugget on campus. I remember quite a few Bob Marley covers in the set back then.
Love it!! That day in 1990 was all Passion, Good Vibes, Creative Energy, and life enjoyed in the moment!! Bradley and Sublime embodied what California was meant to be, what it still can be if we live it the way they lived it back in the 80’s and 90’s
I grew up in OC but I wasn't old enough in 1990 to see them so I missed one of the greatest band ever by being born too late! Can't believe he only had six years left on Earth in this video . . .
Eric's a true bass player. I love those bass lines he plays. And unlike most bands you can actually hear the bass with Sublime. Check out Bud Gaugh yeah he's right on time come listen Eric Wilson drop the funky bass line!!! Love that part.
This is Brad/Sublime at one of their best. That footage of Brad in that "lost house" footage with chicken is really crazy to watch though. It's hard to think that that was filmed only 4 or 5 years after this. Brad looks so much different in that span of time from this video.
+blabla2235 WOW They sound so tight right here and the guitar solo is fucking awesome dude. He could really play the guitar! What the hell happened to him after though?
why Can't i meet a cool chick who just kindly slobber spit patches that nice huge joint splif so it could hit!/smoke! Better! really!? i do that all the timez my self so we'd have something in common to spark an interest in a conversation!
This is what sublime was all about . The house parties. Only 5 dollars at the door . Bradley was so well known in so cal . I know a bunch of ppl that kicked it with him .
What a birthday party for sure for Georgie!!! My kind of party…lots of stoners kicking it and having a good time 🤘

Whamsie! that’s sick. thanks for sharing.
The bass is just so raw and slower/deeper than the later, more polished album versions…This is fucking gold
Love it!!

I like the way Bud hits his snare, he takes his arm all the way back up in the air then hits it. Idk it just looks cool I think.
cool story bro
Ephrem Goldstein LOL...smart ass....lol
Ephrem Goldstein You're a fuck.
downfan1 I totally agree with you sir! I've always thought that but never articulated it in my own thought process... if that makes any sense.
I was literally saying to my budding drummer sister the other day that I love drummers who have that sort of slow mo snare hit
Damn wish I was there. I was only 11 in 90 but still rockin to that reggae beat. Thank God for Sublime.

Sublime's drum and bass always straight hold it down
Ronaldo Murphano seriously it’s a rare noise. bradley plays rhythm while eric plays the main riffs. i like it. gonna try and recreate their noise.

It should be considered rape to play a bass that well.
