The ending caught me off guard and actually made me bust out laughing. Been thinking of getting into the game as a 30 something nerd so love these beginner videos.
Awful advice. Buy two challenger decks. They'll be strong and fun. 30 bucks new or cheaper old. Or just find a magic player and ask them to build you something for free.
Recently got a starter kit and double sleeves for the decks. Haven’t bought a deck box yet and just repurposed the dragon shield box the mattes came in for one deck with a lunch box to put it in to avoid damage 😂 Commander looks fun but I like the duelling format of standard, even though my cards won’t be legal in it (LOTR). So I think I’m gonna start by building a LOTR commander deck, using cards from the starter kit and singles… gonna be a long road ahead!
Glad you liked it! If you're having trouble with deck building, I recommend going on tapped out or EDHREC if you want to play commander. Mtg goldfish is also a great resource for budget and meta decks. Either way, I hope you enjoy Magic!
start magic for 20$, continue and collect for 500$, lol More seriously, there are a lot of way to just enjoy, buy a lot of cards and stuff without spending too much, just don't fall on the traps of buying too much boosters and expensive rare cards, you don't need that to play or win
I can tell you that $500 is a bit of a low estimate🤣 . You're right, though you don't have to pay hundreds to enjoy the game. Magic, like all card games, can be enjoyed at almost any budget.
My local card shop owner talked me into testing out Magic the Gathering Arena to get a feel and I’m interested but I still don’t understand….. I’m 28 and I’ve played yugioh and Pokemon before but for some reason, I can’t figure out Magic 😢 Does anyone have advice for hard-to-teach players? Thank you so much in advance!
this is like video number 12 i have watched about trying to get into magic. This has been the best one. TY

Love your energy man, this was hilarious and very informative. Great music choice in the background as well.
I just got into MTG, thanks! Planning on grabbing my first things today
Have fun!
Been playing MtG since 1997 and I still think that the best introduction to the game was with Portal and Portal:Second Age
That ending earned you a sub 😂
