Been riding dirtbikes for about 27 years, and sport bikes for 16. I've always wanted to get into dual-sport/adv. Been going through some dark times recently, but watching your videos has really rekindled that passion. I'm picking up my new Transalp tomorrow and I'm so excited. I’ve been watching your channel for a good while now. I watch them because I like them. The stuff you cover is relevant and interesting to me. Nobody can be all things to all people so don’t stress over the odd negative comment. Some people are not happy unless they are chopping some one and if it wasn’t you it would be someone else. Keep doing what your doing. Your passion for the sport is infectious 😀
Grace and Ben I think it is just human for most of us to have a hard time shaking off the trolls. I have gotten comments on my comments and found it hard to just not respond to it. I think Everide was one of my first motorcyclist that I started watching back when he was just getting started and I agree with Ben about Tyler being the most honest straight forward fellow. Tyler from Everide was also a teacher before he went full time on TH-cam. Great pod cast! Keep them coming.

I bought my ADV bike almost 2 years ago and I am sorry, but I just have lingered on the fringes of the community. Dork and Grace are the only two that I feel are in line with what I want to be part of. I'm gonna check Everide out though. The level of Gatekeeping I have encountered has turned me into a lone rider. I just want to have fun, ride safe, laugh and explore. I don't care what gear people prefer or what bike they have or what skill level they are or if they smoke a cigar backward as they have a drink after a good ride. I don't know Ben. However, his online persona is what I crave! Fun, excited, eager, flawed, vulnerable at times, accepting of everyone....that is what I want to be a part of. I am subscribed to hundreds of channels and over the years I have listened to thousands of videos while doing chores and work: Ben is the ONLY person I give a monthly amount because of what he brings to this community with this channel. I have a hobby now that my wife says "has become your personality" and I have nobody to enjoy it with. When I join a group and the first thing I get is someone laughing, who I don't know personally, because I bought the helmet I wanted and actually really like and he didn't like the brand of it. It's a good brand with good safety ratings...nothing wrong with it. Maybe it's because immediately comment on the pristine Krios he had? I just dropped out of the ADV groups online I was a part of and haven't ridden with anyone since because it felt like that crap is just rampant. I'm rambling, but thank you Ben and Grace for being my online riding buddies...that I can mute whenever I want!
Dork, while I now live in Texas we have lots in common…grew up in Washington, worked at Safeway, finished college about 10 years after HS and became a teacher. Was away from bikes for over 30 years but recently got a 300L and am loving it. Thanks for all the helpful videos.
I run a Men's group, where we Ride (small Adv bikes 300-450 only) on day trips, we then put the gear into hiking backpacks (the actual proper ones) the weights is about 30-50 kg Part of Ride 4 Therapy N Community. I spend a ton of money replacing the old van with a new VW Van Crafter (fits x 2 bikes + BBQ and seating out door gear) Normally the girls take turns in support have bike in the Van (still testing) Also some of the camping sites have been installing shipping containers as camp overnight sleepers.
“I don’t want others to feel the things I’ve felt.” Man I try to live that everyday. Was super nerdy growing up in a sea of jocks. Got picked on a lot. Now the more outcast a person seems the more I try to befriend them.
I have to say, I genuinely like this guy, I like his humility. I like his approach I like his personality. I’ll watch some of his videos, and I really have no interest in what he’s talking about but I know he’ll do it in a way, that’s pretty pleasant to watch.pretty cool getting to know a little bit more about him.

So many TH-camrs/journalist are to picky and finicky. They review beautiful brand new bikes and immediately nit pick every little detail about the bike. You reasonable review these bikes from a normal guys perspective. You are relatable, entertaining and you genuinely do inspire and educate us viewers. Your BDR trips are some of my favorite videos on TH-cam. Your friend camping trips are hilarious. Ride your bikes, share the beautiful places you visit and add in some conversation and I'm a happy Dork Fan.

It's one of the reasons I actually give some credence to your guys' stuff. I love the promotion of treatment and general vibe you guys have, and most of all, I love that you guys both generally promote safely and live it. I love that Ben is a middle-aged fat guy working to be a better you because, it makes me feel like I can do more than I believe I can as a middle-aged fat guy working to be a better me. Lastly, I hope you both never give into negative vibes. I struggle with depression ect and I know it's easy to lose to the occasional negative even in the face of the constant positive influence. So don't give into the trolls ain't no intelligence in their words, and we all back you positively in hopes it will help. P.s.
