I actually feel so bad for Taranza. He's both an unexpectedly interesting character and a depressing one. Unlike most god-queens, Sectonia was actually alright and Taranza apparently had a crush on her. But then that douchebag of a darkside, Dark Metaknight corrupted her and played off her hubris; pride. And as she was rotting away from the inside, he tried his best to bring back the queen she revered, but she was too far gone to care anymore. So the only thing left to do was to euthanize her. Poor boi needs some love.
at least you can tell he's trying to move on. He keeps thinking about her, it's really hard to forget a love that's gone, but he tries hard not to be left behind.

when you realize that there are lots of details that make it more tragic. He gave a gift with good intentions, a friendship that was blossoming into something more, a tragic fate for your best friend and love, and the discovery that you were responsible for it.
and it is that we hardly know anything more about the past of taranza before sectonia.

Taranza might be the most tragic Kirby character aloneside his late lover. The 3ds games gave great backstory to the villians and gave them more than just "oh I tricked you into giving me that powerful object thanks time to die." Not trying to diss magolor or anything I still love him too.
Ye, honestly though Magolor was a lot nicer in betraying Kirby than Marx was. Not only did Marx not help whatsoever (or was at least non-interactable like how Magolor was back in the Lor), whereas Magolor at least set up games and such to help Kirby train, but Magolor even realized his mistakes and changed his ways after the crowned incident. This happens in every Kirby game when either the roof is broken or Dedede is in danger. It is in fact intentional.

Yeah, sectonia and taranza used to be part of the same race and taranza was crushin on her so he gave her the dimension mirror as a gift but it corrupted her and she became obsessed with her image of beauty so she transformed herself into a wasp
