@@MercytheMad I think is worth it, you got a nice ammount of money to begin your campaing, some items that can help you and the ridiculous ammount of xp you earn make it worth the low reliability, the only problem is that i think vassals can break the agreement if you have low reliability but the power difference should make for it
the game isn't too polished tbh, they focus way more on new stuff than fixing lil exploits and stuff (though I think they might wanna do something about the subjugation exploit...) it's not really wrong, it seems people prefer it anyways, but they sure are treading a thin line between having a game with some exploits and a bug-infested nightmare 😂

Also realize the rule of thumb anywhere coding is involved, is if you solve one issue/bug/exploit, 20 others take its place. They very well could have tried to, and created issues elsewhere that were worse or broke the game, and decided it isn't worth the time.
@@btCharlie_ you can also "exploit" the game by installing mods or playing on easy. If you want to ruin your own game experience, CA is happy to let you do it.
@@Atanatari165 There's no shame in playing on easy or using mods, just like there's no shame in using exploits. It's a single player game to be enjoyed, not an exercise in rigor. Calling easy difficulty an exploit is a stretch on a good day. It's obviously intended to be easier, while stacking vampire heroes to wall off your provinces is most certainly not. Calling mods an exploit however is not even a stretch, that's like drawing a cross on a painting and then complaining there's an extra cross on the painting.
Considering how highly auto resolve treats level 40 Lords and Heroes, this is a disgusting cheese. So basically everyone capable of subjugating has the potential for infinite xp?
Just checked, that's WH1. I think only Vampires and Chaos can subjugate in WH2. I'm seeing some places suggest Wood Elves still can too but someone else would have to test that, don't have realm of the wood elves.
I didn't know that Vlad was a "Siege Attacker", makes a tremendous difference to the game for me. Usually have a "siege attacker" unit attached to Manfred, which incurs a cost without really giving any value.

Thanks for the vid, Mercy! I never was a huge fan of the Vampire factions, but having two max level lords and plenty of heroes right off the bat helps, haha. One thing I noticed that may be useful for others: If you get the VCs down to a final settlement in Eschen, and Templehof down to final settlement in Fort Oberstyre, you can halve the number of times you have to click through diplomacy menu to cancel the subjugation treaties for the same number of battles. As soon as you attack one of the two vassals, the other will refuse to join the war (at least in my game). This breaks the second vassal's treaty, and saves you from having to click through the menus to do it yourself. So, I was able to park Isabella and Vlad in the two settlements, and cycle between attacking them. Not a huge timesaver, but it does halve the number of times you need to click through the annoying menus!

You are cheesemonger of a finest sort. This cheese here bring me totally new flavors to my Warhammer games. I am going trough Isabella campaign, following your instruction and having heaps of fun. I can add few observations of my own to refine your recipe a bit. 1. While subjugating make sure you level your last two generals up to Wind of Death or any desirable level, they are gonna stay so you need them usable. 2. Make one of your two last generals Lahmian and level her up with Queen Bee to farm Bloody Kisses 3. My first game play was derailed by low reliability and Manfred breaking vassalage every new war. On second gameplay never subjugated Manfred. Keping him in siegelock. Meanwhile because of my high rating I was able to invite people to wars. Especially orcs like to join wars. It keeps my enemies occupied and makes things more manageable. Try to invite literally anyone. I managed to get Karl Franz to fight Balthasar Gelt. I think that's what kept him from DoW on me. I am on turn 37 relations with Manfred are at +11 used to be at +80 but I let him out for one turn and I need to beet him back to his hidey hole. I just DoW on Reikland so I hope our relations will go up again.
As a french, cheese like this pleased me so much 😊. Did a try to your method and it works well. I'm just one turn late. Vlad is already 40. Isabella will PL her gang and two lords that turn. I should be ready to face the tides as my neighbourhood dislikes vampires going bully against other vampires, as if they will even care lorewise...
@Baptiste Noir glad it worked for you. It doesn't really matter if you do it to Oberstyre on turn 6,7 or 8. Or if you do it to Mannfred/Eschen on turn 5. Just get an early advantage and then if you like, keep doing it more and more every turn, and endless Super-vampire factory! Everyone hating you just makes it more fun I think!
Keep in mind your reliability stays at very low for the next 50-100 turns. I don't even think this should count as a cheat since I'm at war with half the map
Yea, I came here to comment this. Everyone goes to war with you, but it doesn't matter, as by about turn 20 you'll have x3 vampire doomstacks, almost researched everything that matters and will almost have unlocked all the bloodlines. Insane!

@@MercytheMad I've got a save where I'm running the vassal spam on Mannfred on turn 4 (not aiming to confed him). I can sell 'cancel vassals' to Templehof for 300 gold per turn. On another save at turn 7, I can sell the same cancel vassal to Templehof for 1096 per turn. The amount appears to be tied to the strength of the AI coffers at the start of the turn. You just need a positive reputation, reliability doesn't effect the payments. Happy to send the files across.

If you withdraw vlad from a battle against a factions leader that faction leader will respawn every single turn due to his defeat trait giving -4 turn wound recovery time to a lord. Can get a guaranteed blood kiss every turn that way.
I find it a lot more difficult to pull this off than shown here, a lot of it can come down to luck. First when i finally trap and vassal Mannfred in Eschen, 7/10 times Ostermark or Drycha will declare war on him, forcing me to respond and wasting my time dealing with it. Then thanks to the low rep status sometimes it can start a chain of war declarations. What mostly saves this is the infinite xp cheese from the vassal exploit, if you can get 4 lords + a tonne of vampires to 35+ you can dominate but if your not careful someone may kill Mannfred before you can respond especially if Drycha declares war on him/you. Anyway nice cheese and nice vid, hope to see more delicious cheese.
All those things are definitely an issue. Sorry, the video was already pretty jam packed, I will try do a follow up video explaining some of those issues.

Awesome. I tried it out. Works nicely. Having lords at high levels and a world full of enemies! Getting attacked all over the place but its great fun ^^

How many turns past that have you played? Sometimes it bugs out and goes reliable then flicks back to unreliable. that is VERY interesting to me though, please comment more on this or come post about it on my discord.

I just started an Isabella campaign yesterday but God daaamnn!!! I gotta restart now. I think there's also a way to farm blood kisses along the way. Have Vlad lose a battle to a faction leader and that leader gains -4 turns wound recovery time. Theoretically he could respawn every 1 or 2 turns and give a blood kiss each time he's defeated. So far the problem for me was other factions swooping in and killing off the faction I was farming but I didn't try it with the vassal exploit. I'm gonna try it out and see how that goes.
Alright, so I've spent 2 days restarting the campaign trying to maximize farming blood kisses and levels. On turn 9 I was set up to get 3 blood kisses per turn (Mannfred, Clan Ferrik leader and Templehof leader), do the vassal cheese and already had 9 vampires recruited. Then I started doing the vassal cheese and once I got to level 20 with Vlad I realized I hate this method. I guess I like cheesing the game when it means using the game's mechanics to the extreme and against the AI but this is simply exploiting a bug, same as the 'backspace' cheat. Just took all the fun away for me so now I'm just playing it the normal way - skeleton spam :) In the end if I want to cheat my way to a level 40 lord or 1 million gold I might as well use a save editor and save myself a few hours.
@@MercytheMad I tried doing it, but must have been patched, can subjugate once, then if you attack again, they don't give you the subjugate option again.
No, it's not patched, I'm doing it right now! You have to cancel the vassal option in Diplomacy, if you just attack while they are your vassal your permanently ruin the exploit and have to restart.
@@MercytheMad So I finally gave it another crack and realised I didn't do what you said 'cancel vassal in diplo screen' now I'm doing it.......But stomach is not appreciating the amount of cheese though.
You can have the vampires heroes probably faster,because SFO gives you 15k at the start,so you won't really care about being bankrupt,but their upkeep will be rough because of the maintenance skill,which will be taken care of with the heavy cheese .(which means the "light" cheese is probably bad,since your upkeep will be throught the roof,and it also won't work if you use Mixu's Lords,since Stirland will pound you) I will try to do it too,but since it doesn't rely on any diplomacy or anything like that,it will probably work (eltharion cheese works on SFO for exemple,but malus for some reason doesn't).

I say anyone who wants to take on ranks and ranks of Level 40 Vampire Lords, with Wind of Death, infinite Winds of Magic and Armies if Level 40 vampires is welcome to come and have a crack at it! There is also the "less cheese version" of just using Oberstyre and the Moot as double sack cities to powerlevel your vamps, if you prefer. It's slower but can give you good rep with surrounding factions (except Stirland obviously)

You don't need to do it all at once. You can do them up to like level 20 and then do some more a few turns later or whenever. Just remember to always cancel the Vassal agreement in diplomacy after you finish a session.
Yeah I have found the same issue. I got a great army, two really, but I am at war with sooo many fucking factions, this campaign is a fucking slog now. My question is does the diplo rep penalty stack? does it naturally recuperate or do I need to engage in diplomacy successfully to repair my rep?
Ok so I'm currently doing it on SFO like I said,and it looks pretty good. The difference from vanilla seems to be : 1. You need to waste a turn in ambush at the start,because of the higher campaign line of sight making mannfred come to defend the castle if you see it,and I haven't managed to stay out of the range and still be able to attack it,so it's an 8 turn strat. (I'm maybe bad I dunno.) 2. It gives like 5k everytime you win the battle unlike the vanilla 2-3k,but you will lose troops since unfortunately,no skeletons for you at the start,only zombies,but your vampires will become so OP they will win in the siege with no hp lost every time after like level 4,and you will slowly lose less and less units/hp as they level up (or even if it did damage them somehow,you could just play it and heal them once in a while,pick up "immortal will" in the skill tree to get free regen.) 3. Obviously,you lose all the upkeep cheese for your vampire heroes,as Isabella no longer has that trait (she now has a skill that reduce upkeep by -10% however,but only in her army),and lamias only gives -10%,sad indeed,but in exchange isabella now takes no damage in all her army for this strat (I dunno why,the autoresolve gives me a huge bonus,even after removing the vargheists),so you can use her to siege and level your heroes faster. 4. Try to not start with and be wary of confident,determined,or dark master,as those traits now make your heroes upkeep bigger factionwide,or in the army (so they're bad in a full hero stack) and if you want to really be a cheese master,get a full "dread incarnate" stack,to remove 36 leadership from your opponent (totally not overkill btw) or just stay classic and get knowledgeable/intelligent,if you have the time to farm them. (unfortunately,if you want to be fast,that means reloading every turn,but you don't have to do that mindnumbing experience) 5. In the hero skills,obviously don't pick up "Sublety of the Strigoi",unless you feel like killing yourself,and seduction of the Lahmians on the other hand could allow you for some nice diplomacy (and research) cheese for (that's what I'm using personnaly),you can also basically becomes immune to all attritions with the retinue:grandmaster skill,and pick physician at the end to have an army that fully replenish at the end of the turn regardless of damage,even if just in camp on an ennemy territory (maybe even on raid ? need to waste more time on it to have a vampire stack first). 6. Infinite magic is even more broken,since SFO gives you a 50 winds buffer at the start,and 100 max winds by default. 7. You can get yourself the free wight king for the foot unit (to hide in a bush) in isabella's army from Vlad's skill tree to speed up the process,as those are very strong at taking care of themselves in SFO,can now summon a unit of grave gard in their skill tree to make a get away,and you will lose out on barely any winds of magic. (see point 6),he also has a (very fast,especially since he boosts his own speed) horse to flee and not a slow cart like necromancers,and is immune to charge bonuses,or you can go with necros,they're better in SFO too,I'm just shilling my personal choice. 8. You can get spellbind ultimatum in vlad skill tree,and just do children of the night in one turn with no need to fight the battle with your new lords,since you now recruit them rank 6,it speeds up the whole shebang,but it's not necessary. 9. Mannfred seceded from me,so I gave him both isabella and Vlad's Trait,before going back to the farm.
Wow I just did this then I followed through with my Lahmian Vampreress then Isabella to lvl 40. This so OP for turn 7. Can also use the last lord to max up aswell
4 lords level 40 turn 7, takes a few hours though. Doesn't really feel like Mod cheating though as in the end game most lords are the same level you just get a mad boost and can take out factions that turn the game upside, like bee lining for the Reikland, exterminating them and their confederates as fast as you can then watching other Empire factions take the helm. It makes a different game.
Also once confederate you can leave this specific Outpost for your next Vamp lord to farm on as well. Blood Dragon w/grave gaurd spam here we come! I have enough Scholar 10% bonuses to not need the Necrarch boost as I see him as the weakest Lord.
Brand new to Total war series playing Isabell on easy and the Mausoleum of the Mad count is a Tier 3 building that requires population surplus and having a tier 3 main building .. did they update it to change the requirements or is it based off difficulty level?
There is the "Mausoleum" that is a tier 3 recruitment building. "The Mausoleum of the Mad Count" is a Tier 1 building. Note this guide is for Mortal Empires game mode (WH1+WH2), are you playing Mortal Empires or Warhammer I ?
That Reliability penalty is a pretty massive downside though. Going that much into the negative direction probably means that you'll never recover it. Might as well make it a "This Is Total War"-campaign going forwards.
Oh I enjoyed this. So basically, by the time Defiler was researched I had 12 max level Arcane Conduit Vampbitches and had taken Nagashizzar. By around turn 50 Vlad, Isabella and the Bitch Squad were shitting out Wind of Death and Pit of Shades like they'd all eaten dodgy kebabs and had food poisoning
Can anyone explain why Schwartzhafen, or "Blackharbor", is called that? Or why, the Empire's capitol is called "Oldvillage"? "I declare this the Capitol!" -"what? that old village?!" Maybe?
I found it easier to sack templehof when manfred was close. Once he took that then I moved down to drakenhof and declared warthen taking the rest of sylvania, leaving him a defensive poistion so I wouldnt have to babysit him later. Let him build that up so you don't have to lol
If you attack them while they are a vassal it wrecks the exploit, you have to go back to a previous save and make sure you cancel the vassal treaty in Diplomacy before you attack them EVERY time. forget once and attack them while they have the Blue shield and its all over.

I m having the same issue, hoped to confederate manfrend, but because of my low realibility anytime i start a war or i get attacked my subjects are "freeing" from my tyranic hands even if they have 250+ relation to me! I wanted to cancel the vassal status of them, but i cant as less than 10 turn change in diplomacy will lower my rating again. I got borred of the rebelious bastards so just killed templehof and manfred as well after beating them to subjigate in every 2nd turn as anytime i explore a new faction, they declare war on me the next turn. Got 40 vampires, 6-8 in each main army and with this many wars they level up extremley quick, so cant complain its fun and luckily the area can be really well defended Is there anyway to improve my reliability? I was a good boy since turn 10 and im at 45, however not a sign of improvement
@@monostorizsolt2472 just steam roll the map with Isabella and and vampire army, it’s the only way I’ve managed to have fun as it’s quite frustrating to play essentially play a “This is Total War” campaign.
@mercythemad I tried the method of sacking between Moot and Fort Oberstyre. Before I could even attack the moot, Sylvania B-lined for Fort Oberstyre. How can I keep my vassal from messing with my sack targets?
You can either let Stirland take it off Sylvania and then sack it again, or you can wardec Sylvania, or you can never Subjugate Sylvania in the first place and just remain at war with them for a few turns. Or just move on start crushing other stuff. Or switch to Mordheim/Essen for your doublesack. You can't really stop them while they are your vassal but you can usually get a few in before they take it.
@@MercytheMad Ah cool, I pivoted to the ultra cheese strat. It became the true "Total War" campaign as everyone declared war as soon as I ended the turn lol.
@@NM-lz8xc Different campaigns play out differently but usually I would box them in in Essen and subjugate them (only once if you are not doing the exploit). then protect Eschen but do not hep them in any battles outside that. Get them into lots of wars so they struggle. Then on turn 30 after they have recruited Ghorst, break vasal treaty, kill Mannfred (may not be necessary) and then they should accept Peace + confederation as long as you have 80+ relations. You CAN do the siege plus gifts thing, but it is a pain in the arse and not necessary, just use the uinitiall vassal treaty to get them into a lot of wars and they will love you for fighting their enemies.
I'm running into a dilemma where on turn 4 to assault Echen, Manfred is not there with his army instead he's out there somewhere, and I couldn't get enough income from the battle together to build the mausoleum. Have try this out already like 5 times (No mods)
Current version of this strat, I don't recruit any units or raise dead in first few turns(or at all), just assault Drakenhof with the starting units and 3 Lords. You might have to fight it manually but its doable and that should fix your financial problem.
The first course was a delicate mild Isabella cheese served with a side of Lithuanian milk. Palateble but slightly underwhelming. But then Chef Mercy went full on avatar of the cheese god and served up a cheese platter of the like that your would only find in Mount Olympus. His extreme version was deliciousness personified. All the stuff you cut out so we didn't have to watch you open and close a diplo menu 47 thousand times. Of course, the biggest downside to this cheese is that it will tank your reliability all the way to the ninth circle of hell. And while VLad is basically superman at this point, he can't defend all his conquests at once.
Yeah totally! I kinda like how my Vlad (the Dad) is rank 40, Isabella is 23 and the rest of the Vampires, and feeble Manfred are like level 4. Also how your reliability gets tanked and nobody trusts you, sorta makes sense also.
Fair warning, if you use this strat, just prepare yourself for each turn being other nations lining up to tell you how much they hate you while they declare war the moment they are discovered. You will not be making friends. But hey, you are vampires. Just be prepared to be at war with EVERYONE. Also, the real cheese is the students you get. HOLY HELL! I have my research past 400%. About everything is 2 turns to research. Also also, max level vampire lady doomstack with Isebella is a great way to level your provinces fast if you max out ALL of them for pop growth. PRO TIP: send your 40 level vampire heroes out for 1 shot wounds on enemy heroes to farm blood kisses. I first put three in Lahmian, then 1 in Necrarch for the research boost (not that you really need it with all the students), and then dumped everything in blood dragon to get the last perk that makes you immune to non vampiric attrition. From then on, just march out without fear.

Calling easy difficulty an exploit is a stretch on a good day. It's obviously intended to be easier, while stacking vampire heroes to wall off your provinces is most certainly not.
Calling mods an exploit however is not even a stretch, that's like drawing a cross on a painting and then complaining there's an extra cross on the painting.
Considering how highly auto resolve treats level 40 Lords and Heroes, this is a disgusting cheese. So basically everyone capable of subjugating has the potential for infinite xp?

Just checked, that's WH1. I think only Vampires and Chaos can subjugate in WH2. I'm seeing some places suggest Wood Elves still can too but someone else would have to test that, don't have realm of the wood elves.

I didn't know that Vlad was a "Siege Attacker", makes a tremendous difference to the game for me. Usually have a "siege attacker" unit attached to Manfred, which incurs a cost without really giving any value.
Cant keep the doors closed when ~~objectively~~ best vampire comes over and asks nicely to open the gates

Thanks for the vid, Mercy! I never was a huge fan of the Vampire factions, but having two max level lords and plenty of heroes right off the bat helps, haha.
One thing I noticed that may be useful for others: If you get the VCs down to a final settlement in Eschen, and Templehof down to final settlement in Fort Oberstyre, you can halve the number of times you have to click through diplomacy menu to cancel the subjugation treaties for the same number of battles.
As soon as you attack one of the two vassals, the other will refuse to join the war (at least in my game). This breaks the second vassal's treaty, and saves you from having to click through the menus to do it yourself. So, I was able to park Isabella and Vlad in the two settlements, and cycle between attacking them. Not a huge timesaver, but it does halve the number of times you need to click through the annoying menus!

You are cheesemonger of a finest sort. This cheese here bring me totally new flavors to my Warhammer games. I am going trough Isabella campaign, following your instruction and having heaps of fun. I can add few observations of my own to refine your recipe a bit.
1. While subjugating make sure you level your last two generals up to Wind of Death or any desirable level, they are gonna stay so you need them usable.
2. Make one of your two last generals Lahmian and level her up with Queen Bee to farm Bloody Kisses
3. My first game play was derailed by low reliability and Manfred breaking vassalage every new war. On second gameplay never subjugated Manfred. Keping him in siegelock. Meanwhile because of my high rating I was able to invite people to wars. Especially orcs like to join wars. It keeps my enemies occupied and makes things more manageable. Try to invite literally anyone. I managed to get Karl Franz to fight Balthasar Gelt. I think that's what kept him from DoW on me. I am on turn 37 relations with Manfred are at +11 used to be at +80 but I let him out for one turn and I need to beet him back to his hidey hole. I just DoW on Reikland so I hope our relations will go up again.

As a french, cheese like this pleased me so much 😊. Did a try to your method and it works well. I'm just one turn late. Vlad is already 40. Isabella will PL her gang and two lords that turn. I should be ready to face the tides as my neighbourhood dislikes vampires going bully against other vampires, as if they will even care lorewise...
@Baptiste Noir glad it worked for you. It doesn't really matter if you do it to Oberstyre on turn 6,7 or 8. Or if you do it to Mannfred/Eschen on turn 5.
Just get an early advantage and then if you like, keep doing it more and more every turn, and endless Super-vampire factory! Everyone hating you just makes it more fun I think!

Keep in mind your reliability stays at very low for the next 50-100 turns. I don't even think this should count as a cheat since I'm at war with half the map

Yea, I came here to comment this. Everyone goes to war with you, but it doesn't matter, as by about turn 20 you'll have x3 vampire doomstacks, almost researched everything that matters and will almost have unlocked all the bloodlines. Insane!

You can sell your 'Cancel Vassals' to Templehof/Mannfred, rather just selecting the option in the diplo screen.
Maybe, I haven't tried. Please come back and comment if you find out. EDIT: Probably not, as they hate your guts and your reliability is tanked.
@@MercytheMad I've got a save where I'm running the vassal spam on Mannfred on turn 4 (not aiming to confed him). I can sell 'cancel vassals' to Templehof for 300 gold per turn. On another save at turn 7, I can sell the same cancel vassal to Templehof for 1096 per turn. The amount appears to be tied to the strength of the AI coffers at the start of the turn. You just need a positive reputation, reliability doesn't effect the payments. Happy to send the files across.

If you withdraw vlad from a battle against a factions leader that faction leader will respawn every single turn due to his defeat trait giving -4 turn wound recovery time to a lord. Can get a guaranteed blood kiss every turn that way.

I find it a lot more difficult to pull this off than shown here, a lot of it can come down to luck. First when i finally trap and vassal Mannfred in Eschen, 7/10 times Ostermark or Drycha will declare war on him, forcing me to respond and wasting my time dealing with it. Then thanks to the low rep status sometimes it can start a chain of war declarations. What mostly saves this is the infinite xp cheese from the vassal exploit, if you can get 4 lords + a tonne of vampires to 35+ you can dominate but if your not careful someone may kill Mannfred before you can respond especially if Drycha declares war on him/you.
Anyway nice cheese and nice vid, hope to see more delicious cheese.

How many turns past that have you played? Sometimes it bugs out and goes reliable then flicks back to unreliable. that is VERY interesting to me though, please comment more on this or come post about it on my discord.

I just started an Isabella campaign yesterday but God daaamnn!!! I gotta restart now.
I think there's also a way to farm blood kisses along the way. Have Vlad lose a battle to a faction leader and that leader gains -4 turns wound recovery time. Theoretically he could respawn every 1 or 2 turns and give a blood kiss each time he's defeated.
So far the problem for me was other factions swooping in and killing off the faction I was farming but I didn't try it with the vassal exploit.
I'm gonna try it out and see how that goes.

Alright, so I've spent 2 days restarting the campaign trying to maximize farming blood kisses and levels. On turn 9 I was set up to get 3 blood kisses per turn (Mannfred, Clan Ferrik leader and Templehof leader), do the vassal cheese and already had 9 vampires recruited. Then I started doing the vassal cheese and once I got to level 20 with Vlad I realized I hate this method.
I guess I like cheesing the game when it means using the game's mechanics to the extreme and against the AI but this is simply exploiting a bug, same as the 'backspace' cheat. Just took all the fun away for me so now I'm just playing it the normal way - skeleton spam :)
In the end if I want to cheat my way to a level 40 lord or 1 million gold I might as well use a save editor and save myself a few hours.

No, it's not patched, I'm doing it right now!
You have to cancel the vassal option in Diplomacy, if you just attack while they are your vassal your permanently ruin the exploit and have to restart.

You can have the vampires heroes probably faster,because SFO gives you 15k at the start,so you won't really care about being bankrupt,but their upkeep will be rough because of the maintenance skill,which will be taken care of with the heavy cheese .(which means the "light" cheese is probably bad,since your upkeep will be throught the roof,and it also won't work if you use Mixu's Lords,since Stirland will pound you)
I will try to do it too,but since it doesn't rely on any diplomacy or anything like that,it will probably work (eltharion cheese works on SFO for exemple,but malus for some reason doesn't).

Total war hammer 2 a fair and balanced game with no exploits.

I say anyone who wants to take on ranks and ranks of Level 40 Vampire Lords, with Wind of Death, infinite Winds of Magic and Armies if Level 40 vampires is welcome to come and have a crack at it!
There is also the "less cheese version" of just using Oberstyre and the Moot as double sack cities to powerlevel your vamps, if you prefer.
It's slower but can give you good rep with surrounding factions (except Stirland obviously)

You don't need to do it all at once. You can do them up to like level 20 and then do some more a few turns later or whenever. Just remember to always cancel the Vassal agreement in diplomacy after you finish a session.

Yeah I have found the same issue. I got a great army, two really, but I am at war with sooo many fucking factions, this campaign is a fucking slog now. My question is does the diplo rep penalty stack? does it naturally recuperate or do I need to engage in diplomacy successfully to repair my rep?
There is a mod that allows every faction to subjugate others. Which means you can have max level lord for every faction using this cheese.
Sounds crazy! I don't really use mods though.
Ok so I'm currently doing it on SFO like I said,and it looks pretty good.
The difference from vanilla seems to be :
1. You need to waste a turn in ambush at the start,because of the higher campaign line of sight making mannfred come to defend the castle if you see it,and I haven't managed to stay out of the range and still be able to attack it,so it's an 8 turn strat.
(I'm maybe bad I dunno.)
2. It gives like 5k everytime you win the battle unlike the vanilla 2-3k,but you will lose troops since unfortunately,no skeletons for you at the start,only zombies,but your vampires will become so OP they will win in the siege with no hp lost every time after like level 4,and you will slowly lose less and less units/hp as they level up (or even if it did damage them somehow,you could just play it and heal them once in a while,pick up "immortal will" in the skill tree to get free regen.)
3. Obviously,you lose all the upkeep cheese for your vampire heroes,as Isabella no longer has that trait (she now has a skill that reduce upkeep by -10% however,but only in her army),and lamias only gives -10%,sad indeed,but in exchange isabella now takes no damage in all her army for this strat (I dunno why,the autoresolve gives me a huge bonus,even after removing the vargheists),so you can use her to siege and level your heroes faster.
4. Try to not start with and be wary of confident,determined,or dark master,as those traits now make your heroes upkeep bigger factionwide,or in the army (so they're bad in a full hero stack)
and if you want to really be a cheese master,get a full "dread incarnate" stack,to remove 36 leadership from your opponent (totally not overkill btw) or just stay classic and get knowledgeable/intelligent,if you have the time to farm them. (unfortunately,if you want to be fast,that means reloading every turn,but you don't have to do that mindnumbing experience)
5. In the hero skills,obviously don't pick up "Sublety of the Strigoi",unless you feel like killing yourself,and seduction of the Lahmians on the other hand could allow you for some nice diplomacy (and research) cheese for (that's what I'm using personnaly),you can also basically becomes immune to all attritions with the retinue:grandmaster skill,and pick physician at the end to have an army that fully replenish at the end of the turn regardless of damage,even if just in camp on an ennemy territory (maybe even on raid ? need to waste more time on it to have a vampire stack first).
6. Infinite magic is even more broken,since SFO gives you a 50 winds buffer at the start,and 100 max winds by default.
7. You can get yourself the free wight king for the foot unit (to hide in a bush) in isabella's army from Vlad's skill tree to speed up the process,as those are very strong at taking care of themselves in SFO,can now summon a unit of grave gard in their skill tree to make a get away,and you will lose out on barely any winds of magic. (see point 6),he also has a (very fast,especially since he boosts his own speed) horse to flee and not a slow cart like necromancers,and is immune to charge bonuses,or you can go with necros,they're better in SFO too,I'm just shilling my personal choice.
8. You can get spellbind ultimatum in vlad skill tree,and just do children of the night in one turn with no need to fight the battle with your new lords,since you now recruit them rank 6,it speeds up the whole shebang,but it's not necessary.
9. Mannfred seceded from me,so I gave him both isabella and Vlad's Trait,before going back to the farm.

Wow I just did this then I followed through with my Lahmian Vampreress then Isabella to lvl 40. This so OP for turn 7. Can also use the last lord to max up aswell
4 lords level 40 turn 7, takes a few hours though. Doesn't really feel like Mod cheating though as in the end game most lords are the same level you just get a mad boost and can take out factions that turn the game upside, like bee lining for the Reikland, exterminating them and their confederates as fast as you can then watching other Empire factions take the helm. It makes a different game.

Also once confederate you can leave this specific Outpost for your next Vamp lord to farm on as well. Blood Dragon w/grave gaurd spam here we come! I have enough Scholar 10% bonuses to not need the Necrarch boost as I see him as the weakest Lord.
Brand new to Total war series playing Isabell on easy and the Mausoleum of the Mad count is a Tier 3 building that requires population surplus and having a tier 3 main building .. did they update it to change the requirements or is it based off difficulty level?
There is the "Mausoleum" that is a tier 3 recruitment building. "The Mausoleum of the Mad Count" is a Tier 1 building. Note this guide is for Mortal Empires game mode (WH1+WH2), are you playing Mortal Empires or Warhammer I ?

I found it easier to sack templehof when manfred was close. Once he took that then I moved down to drakenhof and declared warthen taking the rest of sylvania, leaving him a defensive poistion so I wouldnt have to babysit him later. Let him build that up so you don't have to lol

I tried this today but after a certain point the option to subjugate them disappears after a while
If you attack them while they are a vassal it wrecks the exploit, you have to go back to a previous save and make sure you cancel the vassal treaty in Diplomacy before you attack them EVERY time. forget once and attack them while they have the Blue shield and its all over.

Haha, see the next Isabella video for more on this! Every faction wont declare war on you necessarily, BUT you will not be able to make peace. So eventually you sort of collect them all.
I m having the same issue, hoped to confederate manfrend, but because of my low realibility anytime i start a war or i get attacked my subjects are "freeing" from my tyranic hands even if they have 250+ relation to me!
I wanted to cancel the vassal status of them, but i cant as less than 10 turn change in diplomacy will lower my rating again.
I got borred of the rebelious bastards so just killed templehof and manfred as well after beating them to subjigate in every 2nd turn as anytime i explore a new faction, they declare war on me the next turn.
Got 40 vampires, 6-8 in each main army and with this many wars they level up extremley quick, so cant complain its fun and luckily the area can be really well defended
Is there anyway to improve my reliability?
I was a good boy since turn 10 and im at 45, however not a sign of improvement
@@monostorizsolt2472 just steam roll the map with Isabella and and vampire army, it’s the only way I’ve managed to have fun as it’s quite frustrating to play essentially play a “This is Total War” campaign.
@mercythemad I tried the method of sacking between Moot and Fort Oberstyre. Before I could even attack the moot, Sylvania B-lined for Fort Oberstyre. How can I keep my vassal from messing with my sack targets?
You can either let Stirland take it off Sylvania and then sack it again, or you can wardec Sylvania, or you can never Subjugate Sylvania in the first place and just remain at war with them for a few turns. Or just move on start crushing other stuff.
Or switch to Mordheim/Essen for your doublesack.
You can't really stop them while they are your vassal but you can usually get a few in before they take it.
@@MercytheMad Ah cool, I pivoted to the ultra cheese strat. It became the true "Total War" campaign as everyone declared war as soon as I ended the turn lol.
@@NM-lz8xc Different campaigns play out differently but usually I would box them in in Essen and subjugate them (only once if you are not doing the exploit). then protect Eschen but do not hep them in any battles outside that. Get them into lots of wars so they struggle.
Then on turn 30 after they have recruited Ghorst, break vasal treaty, kill Mannfred (may not be necessary) and then they should accept Peace + confederation as long as you have 80+ relations.
You CAN do the siege plus gifts thing, but it is a pain in the arse and not necessary, just use the uinitiall vassal treaty to get them into a lot of wars and they will love you for fighting their enemies.
I have to try this. Looks like none of these exploits have been patched out even now.

I'm running into a dilemma where on turn 4 to assault Echen, Manfred is not there with his army instead he's out there somewhere, and I couldn't get enough income from the battle together to build the mausoleum. Have try this out already like 5 times (No mods)
Current version of this strat, I don't recruit any units or raise dead in first few turns(or at all), just assault Drakenhof with the starting units and 3 Lords. You might have to fight it manually but its doable and that should fix your financial problem.

The first course was a delicate mild Isabella cheese served with a side of Lithuanian milk. Palateble but slightly underwhelming. But then Chef Mercy went full on avatar of the cheese god and served up a cheese platter of the like that your would only find in Mount Olympus. His extreme version was deliciousness personified. @@MercytheMad No no, well, maybe. You seemed like you were recording this at the end of a long-as-hell workday, although it could have also been just due to the monotony of the process, y'know? All the stuff you cut out so we didn't have to watch you open and close a diplo menu 47 thousand times.
But yeah, your "energy" seemed to be bouncing up and down with every cut of the video, sometimes you were very perked up on the mic, and on others it sounded like you were struggling not to nod off.
Anywho, didn't mean any offense by it, more just going for a quick laugh, my bad man.

Yeah, it's like you say, those 15 minutes are cut from like 20-30 hours, recorded on different days over about 2-3 weeks I think it took me to put together with all the editing and re-recording parts and stuff. So yeah lots of different energy levels :P

Of course, the biggest downside to this cheese is that it will tank your reliability all the way to the ninth circle of hell. And while VLad is basically superman at this point, he can't defend all his conquests at once.
The best defense is to attack! But yes, you have to manage it a bit like a TITW if you want to conquer the world.
This is delicious! Also shouldn't be too unlorefriendly since they are ancient suckblooders so they have all that xp in the bag already :P
Yeah totally! I kinda like how my Vlad (the Dad) is rank 40, Isabella is 23 and the rest of the Vampires, and feeble Manfred are like level 4. Also how your reliability gets tanked and nobody trusts you, sorta makes sense also.

Fair warning, if you use this strat, just prepare yourself for each turn being other nations lining up to tell you how much they hate you while they declare war the moment they are discovered. You will not be making friends. But hey, you are vampires.
Just be prepared to be at war with EVERYONE.
Also, the real cheese is the students you get. HOLY HELL! I have my research past 400%. About everything is 2 turns to research.
Also also, max level vampire lady doomstack with Isebella is a great way to level your provinces fast if you max out ALL of them for pop growth.
PRO TIP: send your 40 level vampire heroes out for 1 shot wounds on enemy heroes to farm blood kisses. I first put three in Lahmian, then 1 in Necrarch for the research boost (not that you really need it with all the students), and then dumped everything in blood dragon to get the last perk that makes you immune to non vampiric attrition. From then on, just march out without fear.
