I still can't understand why some of the albums had to be renamed in the States. A title of an album (or single) should be just be the title it was released at. Why change it?
It's a great interview but why are they not even playing Ringo songs? Not even Ringo songs from the Beatle discography! First Drive My Car, and then Got to Get You Into My Life??
@@MeanMrMayo that's right. It's Yesterday and Today, like Ringo said. I love that album! It has songs left off of the U.S. lp releases. And Your Bird Can Sing, I'm only Sleeping, Day Tripper, Drive my Car (these are my favorites), etc. Ringo is always a great interview. Next to John, I always found him to be the wittiest, most engaging of the group. 😎
Not their first encounter. Ringo reportedly showed up in the back row at the Comedy Store really wasted in the 70s and started heckling while Letterman was MCing. Dave shredded him savagely without realizing it was Ringo. Once someone pointed out it was Ringo, the savagery got worse. (EDIT) Should have said it wasn't their 2nd encounter because I now see Ringo first did Late Night in '89.
Ringo looks like he's wearing fake gag glasses with a nose attached. Those glasses gotta go. I must say though, he looks fantastic today. Not even 60 though he's in his 70's. I like how Dave and others call him Ringo Starr as if people would get him confused with some other Ringo. Hes from the land of the one-named people...Dave! The land of Dave, Cher, Madonna, Prince, Beyonce, and others.
Nowadays he looks even younger than Paul McCartney who is really starting to show his age and in recent interviews pulse voice is really starting to sound quivering and I'm wondering if maybe he has had a mini-stroke
My other comment vanished ... ? I was saying how nowadays Ringo looks younger than Paul . In recent interviews Paul's voice is starting to sound weaker and almost as if he's had a mini-stroke . Paul seems to have aged more quickly recently .
@@gardensofthegods I agree. His body is still goin but his ability isn't. He's not selling me on the vegan life. Listen to Roger Daltrey today. The man's clearly still got it.
Ringo, always the coolest
Ringo Starr is so down to earth
Ringo you and Barbara are so very precious
Biggest discussion of Revolver ever on David Letterman.
I love you Ringo
Ringo you are the best

Because both of those songs you mentioned were both by Paul.

""Drive My Car" is on the British "Rubber Soul" and the American "Yesterday And Today".

Anyway I do believe at this rate Ringo is going to outlive Paul
